We already have some reputable members whose applications for merits sources have not been considered yet local board members like Charles-Tim and a few others who already created their merits sources application thread, instead of having new applications I think if the old one gets the needed support it will get to Theymos.

We are lacking merits here on Naija local board and just one merit source with low merits allocation is not helpful in the growth of our local community.

Thank you for the break down I shall have it done during my application, and if course it's a voluminous task having to spare time concentrating on other people's post read and seeing the quality of their post. Though I think there are few applications from our people here that have applied but yet didn't see them approved or theymos showing concern towards them.

You are right at Charles, we barely talks about trading discussions here and the two topics you referenced above are the ones talking about trading, and what I know we mostly talks about is Investments, few trading discussions which requesting for additional board with low traffic could be a very slim chance. For me both CryptopreneurBrainboss and Hugeblack have been helpful in Naija local board in terms of merits distribution are just doing that out of their own free will and at that we can't question them anytime that they decide to take their merits distribution to the general global board, since they are not Naija local board merits sources like gebotz and if we can notice already there is merits starvation in the naija local board since the only source we have is with low merits allocations considering his monthly merits history.

That being said, it will be well deserved for us to push for a new merit source to add up to the one we have already so that the local boards members won't be starved of merits, some local communities that don't have our level of activities are having more than one merits sources and that helps them to rewards quality contributions on their local board unlike ours that it's hard for newbies to get merits even with the highest quality local board posts,

For now anything wey concern trading should be posted in the general discussion board, and if over time there are so many threads and posts about trading, trading signals and anything wey concern trading in general, then we fit come dey talk of a child board for trading discussion. If we get that child board now, traffic no go dey am at all, which shows say we never need am.

A trading board is good for our local board, it will encourage those of us that are not into trading to have the interest and feel at home to learn and share ideas on trading issues. But as you said we don't have active trading discussions on this our board and jumping to get the board without knowing whether it will have traffic might not be the best idea. I think that if we can be having many trading threads on this our main board, it will encourage us to move for it's own sub board. For me I think their is no need for a trading board in the loca board, we can still discuss about trading in this section of the local board, so anyone can come up with a trading discussion,  their are members here who are very sound in trading that will contribute in the discussion.  Fine if we have a trading section in the local board it won't be bad and even now we don't have it doesn't stop anyone from bring in topics that is about trading. Just as CryptopreneurBrainboss applied for altcoins discussion but sending most of the merits to posts on local board and not altcoins so can Igebotz decide to leave local board and focus on another board. But like I have posted before, the chance is slim as the chance is also slim for CryptopreneurBrainboss to stop sending merit to local board. Theymos give merit sources freedom to send merit to any thread on any board. You can only make estimations from merit history but you won't be able to tell the exact number of allocation due to how source are generated. If you sent out 5 Smerits today 7th mar, the 5 Smerits source will be generated on the 7th April. So it's not possible by just looking at merit history..

I think any trading discussion, speculations, tutorials and analysis will suit well in the general trading discussion board and not in the local board. But in another sense, the reason for the local board also includes bringing discussions from the general board closer to local board members so that it can be clearly discussed using our common language for easier comprehension but i don't buy the idea of creating a single thread for trading because discussion in there will made randomly and people can get lost since every discussions about trading will follow one after another. It is just like that time when we don't have a local board you will find out that the discussions by Nigerians in a singular thread was not organized at all and i have same feelings that same thing might happen if only one thread is created to discuss anything concerning trading so the best is just that everyone is free to create a new thread about any thing they want to know and discuss about trading.
