Also, when a gambler hold their stake till the end and they win big amount, they are also risk takers and not smart.
It is not bad to take cash out and it is not also bad to hold your bet till the end, just do what you can afford to deal with. Just follow your heart.

it is normal in life , people are more interested in success, when you succeed no one question you. when you take a risk and the outcomes is lose people will judge you for the too much risk but when you win from the risk people will consider you as being lucky. some risk are not worth taking even if it will result to winning. if you take so much risk and you win today and you take another risk tomorrow it might be your own turn turn to lose ' just go for the amount that you can afford to lose.

Most times is usually about logically weighing the odds because most times if on a mathematical basis or statistical basis you have a very thin chance of winning and still had the opportunity to cash out and refuse to then such a person would easily be referred to as a greedy gambler.

You know as a gambler you will always have your target more especially those who are gambling for profit making, they will always want to hold on to their ticket just to get the potential wining. Meanwhile they are being offered a huge amount that is even x3 of their actual stake yet they will still choose to hold on to it till the end, the funniest part of it is that sometimes when the outcome didn't work as they expected they start regretting. At first, the topic of this thread attracted me here and I thought it to be a smart or greedy gambler or perhaps it was an error from the OP but all the same, it was quite alright based on my understanding and coupled with experience, I have been in situations were I bet game and right in me I would be doing my analysis to see the end of the game when it is cashout time and in some cases, I cash out and the game ends against my bet and in some cases, I miss out of the game but often I have had the experience of cashing out and the game ending against my bet. I believe many would call it a smart move and yes of course it would be seen and called that way but when it happens that one insists on allowing the game to end without cashing out and losing everything, they are seen as greedy. Many of virtually all gamblers have had that experience and it is not new to the gambling world so I believe it is not a thing that would bother any gambler to get worried about but a thing of thought to gamblers if they are really gambling for fun or they are gambling for profit and also, is the gamble within their limit ie, what they can afford to lose if the game goes south. All these are what should be in our school of thought as gamblers to make sure we gamble moderately and not get addicted.

I don't think it's greed, gambling is a matter of luck, probabilities, taking risks. If the gambler wants to continue, it's natural. I prefer to quit when I'm winning, any amount more than what I bet is profit!

I think that each person should define what amount of money they expect to get in a parlay and what decision they would make if in the last game there was some bad news and they felt that there was a high risk of losing. These are things that people should be able to analyze quickly and then decide whether to cash out or not.

Addiction is a disease, a person can spend many hours a day playing and not be addicted to gambling. When someone cannot stop playing, cannot go at least 1 month without playing, then that person is addicted to gambling.

Its simple bias lol. I admit I sometimes do it but it's simply because of lack of context sometimes like, the person only says they lost all the amount they had after greeding it out, what the hell would I say other than well, them being greedy about it? I mean, they themselves said it already. Personally I've done the same where I have a higher amount than my original deposit but I still keep going but I don't really think it's greed, it's just me wanting to play more. You don't need to worry about what people say or don't say. Do what is right. Greed never brings good things. Why would you gamble more greedily for Other people's words, Or if you lose all your money, will they compensate you for your money? No, then why should you listen to others? It is not possible to do as everyone says, and even why should you do as everyone says? Because in the end, only you have to take responsibility for everything, not anyone else. So don't listen to others, gamble with the limited money you can afford, if you lose, stop gambling immediately, and if you win, withdraw your winnings and enjoy them. I don't really think that the one's who keeps on losing could be considered as addicted to gambling, we don't even know if the one who keeps on losing is just playing with their spare money.
For me those who are addicted to gambling have a tendency to ruin their life and couldn't control their gambling activity, those who would spend even their last money to gamble or risk it without thinking about the consequences.

This is where luck comes in. However sometimes it's based on  pride to win big that makes some refuse to cash out (this can be called greedy), while at times it is desperation that causes cash out (fear of losing completely)
So the judgements of being greedy gambler or not is left to the gamer (the mind set at that time) except when it has become obvious to the people around. Likewise personal lifestyle can also play in (greedy person a greedy gambler)

This one has clear and simple indications. That someone win a bet always does not really mean they are not addicted.
Some gamblers are ready to owe huge debt just to gamble, some will sell property and many other helpless conditions. When it happens like this the definition is simple and clear

Gambling should be bringing in fun and enjoyment to your life not stress and despair so if gambling becomes harmful in your life and you still can't stop that is how we know you are already addicted. No addict will become an addict in the first place if they weren't winning from the start. The difference between addicts and strategic, responsible ones is that the latter is not harmed by gambling and can remove himself from a situation where gambling becomes stressful and detrimental to his life. That is what separates them in my opinion.

But, whenever someone copy the same way from that successful person or they choose the other way that actually better, however end up failed. People will call them stupid and blame them.

I think it is the nature of most humans to condemn in public what they do in private, just because someone is not there to see them make the same mistake. And yes it happens to almost every gambler, if luck is on your side and you win your game, you'll get nice comments because you have good results to justify your action. People would say you analzed your game well and all.

But if you lose and start feeling regret, you're obviously going to get some bashing from people, that you could have cashed out while you'll get encouragement from some. As a gambler just know what is good for you and forget about what people will say. Because people will always have opinion about everything. Speaking from experience, I have cashed out most my games when I have seen addition from the money I staked and the number of times that those games didn't clear after cashing out are higher than the times when the games cleared after I cashed out. If I had been thinking of what people will say when I cashed out and the games later cleared in the end, I believe that my losses would have been more than my winnings in my gambling career so far. Understanding that there is no smartness or stupidity in gambling will help us very well when gambling. Do what's best for you and turn deaf ears to whatever anyone will have to say about you. It's kind of complicated, why I said so is because of the believed that every man has greed but not all has the ability to control it. As we know, greed is an excessive desire for something and we can sometimes fall trap to our desires. Just like the example you gave, if perhaps I was gambling and I had a cash out offer of 2-5x of the amount I staked, I will happily take it and I wouldn't consider myself as not being smart, if anyone says that I was not smart for not holding the position till the end of the game, then it's their business, they can not make decisions for me. When one already have a well deserving cash out offer and they refused to take it, that is greed but when the offer is not deserving enough, perhaps too poor, then you will have to wait.

Take for example that I staked on a game and the potential win is $800k, and while the game was running, I saw a cash out offer of $500k and within myself, I know that I have not seen such amount at once in my life, I will have to take the cash out bro, even if the game becomes successful at last, I wouldn't blame myself because I got a deserving amount already, but if I didn't accept the cash out and for example i have not even had $200k before in my life, then it's a worse case of greed bro.
