Can another league take over in popularity?

The trending leagues in football are the English Premier League, the Spanish League, the Italian League, the German league that has mostly attracted gamblers. Now looking to the future, do you think there is any possibility of another football league taking over in popularity anytime soon, and what do you think needs to be done to fast track the process. The Saudi Professional League already tried, can we say that they have failed?

In my personal opinion what I think here The Saudi Professional League is now only known for Cristiano Ronaldo and some other famous football stars. Moreover, I don't think we have ever heard the name of this league so prominently.

Now it remains to be seen how the revenue of those football leagues will be after hiring these famous stars. If their revenue continues to increase instead of loss, then I think they are going to make their name among the famous football leagues in the future.
But here we have to keep in mind another thing that famous football stars join a football league or club only for the money and they goes to that place where they can get more fees. Now if in the future any European club offers them a higher amount and hires them, then I don't think such leagues will be able to survive in the midst of popularity.

I don't think it is anytime soon for another league to take over the popularity of the trending league you mentioned. Where will the league start from? Is it having more than the fan base of those that support the trending league, or will it have quality sports and players display and analysis of players over the rest of trending leagues?

If you check all these, you know that it will be hard for such a thing to happen because trending leagues we know, have established themselves all over the world to the extent that they are being talked about in all corners, that even the young and the old has knowledge of what happens in them

Anyone who thought the Saudi Pro League was going to take over or compete with European leagues clearly doesn't pay much attention to football. Ronaldo made some comments about the Saudi league that made him look stupid when he said the Saudi league was better than the French league. Just spending big on averagely talented players or world-class talents at the eclipse of their career is not what would make a league as competitive as Europe. The MLS even has more value and quality than the SPL.

Leagues like the Portuguese league, and the Netherlands league are leagues that can compete with Europe's top 5 leagues, but its something that will happen overtime. It has to be more competitive. This means more teams have to be top teams and those teams have to be good enough to rub shoulders with the best teams in Europe they also need to be able to command views are the other top leagues do.

As for another continent taking the place of Europe in popularity in football, I don't see that happening in this century. It's like expecting another country to be better than the US in Basketball and having a basketball league better than the NBA. It takes a lot a lot of time for that to happen.

The leagues mentioned above are the most popular league in the history of football,  that is, they have been for a very long time. The Saudi pro league can never beat those leagues, they tried buying some talented and popular players just to keep their views active, it did made some impact though but it cannot gain as much popularity is the other 4 league.  Ronaldo  is a big influencer not only in football but also across the world however this appearance at the Saudi league is the reason their fame rose up to this point but that cannot draw the attention of football fan to Saudi league while abandoning the other popular league. The champions league alone is one of the reason other leagues can't beat all 4 leagues.

I wouldn’t say they already tried and I’m referring to the Saudi, it’s still a plan in progress if you would ask me. The league has become more popular in recent times than we would have noted some 5years ago. We have some gold measure of quality in many of the teams within the teams and that’s great news for them. They’ve come into focus and games are being televised. That’s a positive one for the efforts put into the league’s popularity so far.

With all that being said, I don’t think they would be as popular as the Serie A, Premier League, Bundesliga or Laliga. Most of that would be due to cultural grounds, they need to relax it which is very much an impossible given the level of acculturation that would be done, so I don’t see that happening in the next decade.
