I'm a massive supporter of football, and to me, it is the best sport. But I don't think it will be best to others. Personally, I don't watch other games that much aside football. Talking of other sports like basketball, I don't even know how points are been awarded and I haven't taken my time to even learn about it.

And the interesting thing is, I never liked football until the COVID incident in late 2019. I can't tell much about the history of football, but I can agree that England was one of the home ground of football. And, we can't take it away from the North Americans too(especially Brazil in particular). Though Europe has more talents compared to other regions.

To me, football is the best, probably because of its energy, large fan base, sponsors, and maybe the new talents that we see every season. Can't tell if other sports have something similar.

And personally, I'm not into football, I'm more into basketball and other sports, so it might be well known and the best sports for the majority, but there are still some fans that might disagree with it, just saying.

Personally, I didn't really instantly like Football before, it just grew on me once I started gambling more in sports. And I reckon it's about the same, especially for people in Asian countries. At least amongst a big circle of people I know, there are rarely people who watch Football. If you were to ever pick a "best" out of all the sports, then its simply just Basketball imo. Pretty well known in all countries in general and almost all countries have their local tourneys for it.

There is some misconception being the best sport vs most famous in categories of sports. It does not mean that if football is the most followed/famous sport, we can thereby conclude that it is categorically the "best" sport in the world.

Being the best is somehow subjective as it depends on the preference of a person. While others may see football as the most famous sport across the globe, it is by far NOT the best sports according to some who do not play football or any sport.

Lastly, I would like to say that any sport is the best sport depending on your preference. I consider Chess as the greatest sport ever created; but then again, everything is purely subjective at this point.

Even though I like watch football games when I get some free time, I would argue if the football is greatest sport. First I like to watch other sports too, some I enjoy even more then football.

Second I do not like to play football myself because its hard on knees and I never really liked to play it. There are other much healthier sports that engage whole body in much less aggressive manner than football.
