I think allowing users to specify how often do they want to be logged out would be a great feature. Also, does the API work? I can't get it to work.

Ahh I see that the site is not actually accepting running and is using testnet mode

Yeah no actual deposits or withdrawals yet, it's just play money now.

Once it goes to Beta in May then it will allow deposits and withdrawals and we plan to offer some small amount of free coins so that people can start using the Beta version risk free.

Thanks will consider adding the session expiration option.

API should be working;  I'm assuming you got it working as you've racked up an impressive 15000 trades Cheesy

If not please let me know what issues you are having with the API?

Actually I never got it working (the server returned a blank page), those 15000 trades have been made using the JS console to automate trades Wink
I'll try it on a different platform (the API) and I'll let you know if I still have the same problems.

Have a look at the PHP example class for how to work with the API:
https://github.com/bitcoincoltd/bitexthai/

If you are getting blank page returns please let me know what function you were using (it should not return a blank page, always some kind of success or error)

That is the code I was using. Actually, cURL returned nothing, and no headers as well. And no errors.
I just tried it on Linux and it worked (returned a proper error message). I was trying it on Windows (PHP 5.4.19) and, although I think I tested each and every thing that could have failed (and all of them worked for other sites), it did not work. Obviously something's left...

EDIT: I got it to work.

Alpha test competition is now completed and the 3 winners were randomly selected (usernames masked for privacy):

1st prize winner: j*******ez
2nd prize winner: r******id
3nd prize winner: t********70

I have emailed all the winners; if you are a winner and you did not receive an email then please contact me via PM.

Thanks to all the alpha tester; the feedback and data that you provided has proved extremely useful to a level that I could never have imagined.

We ended up putting though a total of almost 1,500,000 user transactions during the test.  I'm now confident the software is secure, reliable and will scale.

We'll be doing some more final internal testing this week and hopefully able to go live around next week.

Isn't Thailand the country which made Bitcoins illegal?

Why on earth start a bitcoin exchange there? More importantly for its users, why would you trust such an exchange?

Isn't Thailand the country which made Bitcoins illegal?

Why on earth start a bitcoin exchange there? More importantly for its users, why would you trust such an exchange?

We are the only registered business in Thailand providing bitcoin services, and have been in business for a year with an excellent service record (you will not find any complaints about our service).

Bank of Thailand has been in direct contact with us and everything you read about regulation in Thailand has probably involved our company.

You can read about the various changes in local Bitcoin policy here: http://bitcoin.co.th/news/

As to "why would users trust us":
1) We provide a 100% transparency proof of funds section here: https://exchange.bitcoin.co.th/info/transparency/
This allows you to verify any bitcoin or alt-coin address that we hold funds on

2) As I said we are a registered company and all deposits are made to our corporate bank accounts in our business name

3) Since we have had numerous previous dealing with the central bank I think this would put us in a better position for discussion if future regulation were to be imposed.
