These are good passive incomes for the old users too because there is designated amount on how much it is for you. But I wouldn't pull my BTC and ETH just for that.

You are actually right, some staking platforms are big time scams..that’s the reason I avoid illegit or unrecognized platforms. Only a couple of exchanges have gained my trust and i actually had my doubts on the 500% offer but since it was exclusive for new users, i think that it’s own way of giving rewards in my opinion. The exchange’s Bitget, i can recall the past events prior to this which i participated in, the results were quite good.

Good for you just continue to HODL your ETH because you can't do anything about it for now. Market is still very volatile and we don't know if we can have our own version of altcoin bull run. So as far as passive income though, it's not that this market is like a business opportunities. We can only make passive income if we are as business operators or we are selling something. Here it's not the case, we make money out of or money, i.e. trading to make profits in short term, or becoming a long term investor and sold when the market is up and time when we are near new all time high.

That is right, if they are okay with that decision to sell at losses then that's how it is going to be for them. But if they consider of waiting a little bit longer then they shouldn't sell any time now. It's hard to accept losses when you've held it for so long and just for the sake of other plans, you'll have to drop and sell it. Not a good idea.

I believe before the end of 2025 we are going to cross the last all-time high and at that, we will have some light for those who bought at the last all-time high and are currently at a heavy loses if they decide to sell at the current price.

Right now Spot trading, staking on some centralized exchange like Bitget, Mexc, Bingx, and yield farming on other Dexes. It's hard to keep up with futures trading now. Then it seems like the volume has dropped as well. Then just hold on to other crypto assets and other top meme coins.

In the current market situation I prefer to trade spot or futures. This way you can get passive profits as long as you know when to entery. Compared to staking, you will only get a small profit in a certain period of time and if you trade on the spot, you can get a bigger profit than staking.
But honestly, in conditions like this I prefer to trade future than trading on the spot. Because looking at the current movement ETH often experiences faster price decreases and increases. So, long or short is very profitable for me (but this is not a suggestion).

Something that looks too good to be true are scams. In a bearish market, there would be oversupply of fiat based crypto so the interest rate on USDT goes down. Just look at any of them, most of the exchanges providing upto 18% APR on bullish market has now decrease the APR to 6%. No way someone could provide you 500% fixed return in current market even if its locked staking.
Personally I'd not stake USDT at the moment, it's time to buy coins. If it falls further, I'll buy more but I don't want to hold USDT and miss the bullish trend that may come anytime.

right now investing in principal tokens and also high performing vaults as well as launchpools.
I think these are the most logical option for me considering the APR is pretty good although there's also underlying risk of contract breach and so on.
basically nothing much you can do with passive income, but I think right now is the perfect time to accumulate BTC if i'm being honest, instead of going out of the market.

Looking at what the op of this thread has said and what most of you guys are saying really baffles me because you guys are not seeing how dangerous this move the op is trying to take.
Ok let's say the staking opportunity is ideal and true, don't we know that by staking your asset in an exchange, the asset must be in the exchange pending the time of duration that the op agreed to stake his asset, if anything happens to that exchange in question like hacking during that timeframe he chooses to stake his asset, don't you think that his asset is good as gone?
This is one dangerous risk we don't pay attention to when talking of staking our asset in an exchange, because in my own understanding, staking your asset in an exchange cannot give you even half of what it can take from you if things went south, so in my own opinion, we really need to avoid staking our asset and keeping it in an exchange for our own good, because since we aren't in charge of the key, anything can happen to our asset while it's been stake in an exchange.

I agree that the promo is real but you are wrong about the $10 returns. I don’t know about you but i had participated in a couple of events like this in the past and i can attest to the fact that these returns were worth it as long as the event is holding on a major CEX. Currently, i have only two exchanges that i trust, Bitget is one.

Since the market is very confusing I think it will be best to hodl bitcoin with the money out are not ready to use, like you said you have some usdt that you are not making use of. It will be best if you turn your usdt invest bitcoin and hodl it because I'm not sure what you will gain from your usdt can be compared to what you make in bitcoin if you hodl.  It is not easy to make profit from the market if you want to trade,  ths is the time to accumulate bitcoin than risking your money .

However, it's crucial to do your own research (DYOR) and not stake in projects blindly. Very true that there are chances to earn passive income through Ethereum staking but the fact that it will be a pain in the ass to find those reputable staking platforms and how sustainable is their earnings rewards percentage payment.
