I am spending my time with my family and friends. Why the market should disallow us to spend time with them? we just buy, hold and wait and sell whenever we're ready to.

So, if you're an investor and you're compromising your time with your family, that's a wrong way of investing.

ETH has disappointed the community this season, they have not printed a new ATH, and they are currently in a mess that cannot be resolved, their problems remain in the inflationary system and also with expensive network fees so few people remain on the ETH network while there are so many new competitors and challenge ETH in terms of network and utility so to print an ATH bar is very difficult for ETH in my opinion, if they do not develop their technology to a better one there is a possibility that they will be replaced even though they are as big as they are now.

I can only hope that the Ethereum Foundation can provide extraordinary development to ETH for a brighter future.

It should still be farming using ETH in its ecosystem protocol but I feel hesitant to hold this coin longer.

It is only a matter of time before Ethereum reaches $10K and the price of Ethereum will not increase unless the Elon session starts. Currently, Ethereum is around $1,800, but when Bitcoin was $44,000, Ethereum was at that price, but now, even though Bitcoin is at $85,000, Ethereum is at exactly $1,800. Those who have invested in Ethereum and held it for a long time are basically suffering from disappointment in the present time.

If you don't buy ETH now, you will still regret when you remember the price of ETH this year 2025 like the way you flash back to 2018 price, assume you buy ETH and hodl from that 2018 till this current price. I guess you will like ETH more than the other altcoins in the market because the altcoin is still good for hodling to be profitable.

Busy with some activities that will bring money for me to buy ETH when the price drop to $1k, because this is the only altcoin you can decide to hodl for short or long time not to regret with what you will earn from the market because the coin is still toping other altcoins in the market.

As I am writing this, price of ETH is 1903$ on coinmarketcap.com and from here it defiantly looks difficult that ETH is going to hit 10k anytime soon. ETH for very long time is able to maintain itself as second best crypto following Bitcoin, at least in terms of market cap. Yes, predictions can be made about a coin, but whether that coin will reach that price in the future may or may not happen. Yes, but when the altcoin session starts, the altcoins will definitely be pumping ,That's for sure. But many predicted about Bitcoin that it will reach 100k very soon but it happened. So now I predict about Ethereum and many have done that it will reach 10k in the future and it will happen but it is not sure when.

Has there been anytime we don't experience this same brutality with the way of the general crypto markets performance, we can't predict on what can happen at any moment because people are buying and selling and this can cause a serious implications towards the particular market price of a certain coin or the entire crypto as it may applies, if ethereum can make it to $10k then it's investors are going big in making profits.

Since the advent of rollups in the early 2020s, at least the fee issue seems to be somewhat solved. Fees are gradually decreasing. I also think that the monolithical model of coins like Solana will eventually reach its limits and Ethereum's Layer-2 based model will prove to be superior.

However, in the current adoption stage Solana-style coins have still not reached their limit, so they "look" currently "better". They have to fight however with the same limits every coin has to fight, in terms of bandwidth, storage, and so on. A SOL node already is more expensive to maintain than an ETH node.

The "mess" you mention is more a psychological one, I think. The "problem" is that the low fees make ETH slightly more inflationary because less fees are burnt. See this Cointelegraph article. But this "inflation" is still quite low.

I still prefer other altcoins, but I consider ETH to be still quite solid due to its ecosystem of dApps and tokens. (No investment advice!)

Yeah, this market that has been brutal every bear market is the same brutality it shows even in the bull run. People need to get used to its brutality because whether you're good at the current state, you'll never know how it will affect you once your portfolio starts to show its affection for its brutality. I'm sad not seeing ETH move and not staying on the level of $4k for which I'm expecting it to be for this bull run. But is it too late to expect for that? I don't know. What matters to me is I'll keep on holding and the hope is in there. Remember the XRP holders even waited for 2-3 cycles before they break even with all of the dramas the Ripple foundation against SEC and now they're winning. ETH's time for $5k - $10k will come but we have no idea when it will be.

We don't know if we're in a "bear market", at least regarding the crypto market as a whole.

This time however, Ethereum has indeed performed much worse than Bitcoin. I attribute this to the end of the flippening dreams of Ethereum maxis. The flippening dream was quite popular until the ETH ETFs were approved, as some thought that would put ETH on par with Bitcoin, maybe enabling it to surpass BTC. But then, the harsh reality led to disappointment about the bad ETH ETF performance and finally to the acceptance that Ethereum isn't on the same level than Bitcoin.

Ethereum is in my opinion a hybrid: neither a full-fledged cryptocurrency with censorship resistance and decentralization [1], neither a completely centralized project.

However, 99% of the altcoins are worse, and in many cases much worse than Ethereum. ETH has at least some intention to try out some new and exciting stuff. That this "stuff" is dominated by CeDeFi and scams, is a problem, but there are some few interesting projects too, like Maker/Dai, which would be difficult to realize on the Bitcoin blockchain.

That's why I wrote in my last post that ETH is still a solid altcoin. It's however no longer a contender for the leading spot in the cryptocurrency market.

I am not saying though that we're already in the bear market but every time that we're into that phase, this could go worse even for Ethereum. One thing that it has destroyed in the past years was about those scams that have used it for its smart contracts and those that are considered good ones now have made their own mainnets. It has only become an outlet until the project can stand alone and L1. I agree to you that it's still a solid one and that's why I am keeping my faith and holding it til' now.

$10k seems like an exaggeration, although I am sure some Ethereum maxis really believed this was possible. Once Bitcoin hit a new all time high, it was taken for granted that altcoins would follow along. For a short period some altcoins did pump, but in general, this cycle has been a disappointment for investors of Ethereum and other altcoins.

Even though fees have declined considerably, they are still higher than every other L2 and alt L1, making Ethereum mainnet attractive only to whales or those who don’t intend on being very active.

ETH’s negative price creates demand for stablecoins. The growing number of BTCFi projects further diminishes the ETH currency’s dominance in the DeFi ecosystem. Account abstraction features being introduced in upcoming hardforks will make it unnecessary to even hold ETH since you can pay for gas with any token.

I consider it as a time to completely get away from the market and rest right now. ETH 10k sounds a bit exaggerated, but those who believe in Ethereum believe that it will reach this price.
I used the cash I had set aside for such declines before to make some purchases and did not fully enter in case of a crash again. It is not even clear whether we are in a full bear season right now.
I am happy to be able to spend time with myself and my family right now. If the markets pick up again, I will be following them more carefully.

so they're pretty bearish.
but it's understandable, fragmentation of liquidity across L2 is a bad thing, don't know why ETH foundation keep pushing L2 instead of making their chain scalable but now ETH is also pushing the super chain narrative.
don't know if it'll work.

but one thing for sure in this bullrun, people aren't moving their money to altcoin, they just stay in bitcoin. so I honestly don't even expect altseason right now.

Don't pay attention to everything people are telling you about ETH without you verify to know more about the altcoins before investing your money. ETH price has dump to 2k, if you are still following the market price, I don't think the price of ETH will reach $10k this year because many altcoins price has started dumping to enter bear run.

If you want to buy ETH, you can go ahead and buy but if you want to wait for the price to dump more before you can buy, I guess you will still lucky to buy in the low price because the green candle light is no longer stable as usual in this week.

This is clearly the disappointment of the ETH Holder community as they see the development a little slow in addition to the previous expensive gas fees (although now the gasfee is cheap) but still the performance of the ETH increase is still slow.

I don't feel confident that this season will belong to ETH in the sense that they can go to ATH again very skeptical about this.
There is so much to talk about in the community including criticism of Vitalik and other developers.

ETH in terms of price is more likely to decline and difficult to recover when the market is green.
