Someone was to deposit my trust wallet, which he claimed to have made already. I observed and noticed an increase in my balance and checked the wallet history but only found the last deposit that I made a few weeks back with no date indicating that another payment has come after that.
Is it possible to receive a deposit without a history of the deposit that comes with the date the deposit has been made?

I noticed that with Trustwallet yes, sometimes the last payment doesn't seem to show right away for some reason.
But to confirm, all you have to do is check your address in a blockexplorer, if you see this new transaction there and it's confirmed, then you're good.

Well most times it can be a case of network issue, reset your Internet and check again. It's not possible your walllet can be topped up without it showing in your deposit history.
It could be network delay, when transactions are stuck, it takes time to reflect properly
It could be a some deposit scam, sometimes scammers uses smart contract scams to manipulate tokens showing in your wallet.
You can use the Blockchain explorer to validate the existence of such deposits on the Blockchain by checking the wallet address to be on a safer side.
Don't claim to have received such deposits or proceed with business if you've any without first verifying the existence of the deposit on the Blockchain.

I never experience that issue on trust wallet there might be a reason why this happen. I also heard someone having issue using Trust wallet that his balance stuck and can't sync properly with the latest balance. I tried to check the wallet and it seems trust wallet is javing some issue. Look at the image below: This might be the cause of your case. But like the above said you shouldn't be worry you can check your real-time balance directly to any block explorer like mempool.space I don't know why they are having this issue based on the image above when I check the mempool.space the networks seems fine.

Whenever you're not sure whether you received the TX or not when someone claims as, just ask them for TXid and use any explorer like mempool.space and see whether the TX is confirmed and output has your address in it. Wallets might have some bugs even though it's not common. You should switch to better wallets such as Electrum which is free of bugs, open sourced, provide coin control feature, etc.

yeah that's a good idea, asking for the TXid and checking the explorer is a solid plan B, but what if the TXid is indeed legit but the wallet is having a glitch and not showing the new transaction in the history, could be a genuine issue on their end, or maybe there's something specific about the transaction that's causing the problem, like a custom fee or something

yeah. I have just checked the explorer, and it appears the transaction is reflected on the explorer with the date the sender made the transaction. I guess it might be an update issue from the trust wallet or likely a network related glitch. Thanks for the suggestion.

I have encountered such errors both on the Bitcoin blockchain, which is very obvious each time you open your Trust Wallet; they do show the warning; and also on the Ethereum and Polygon networks, the balance will always be accurate, but the transaction history always doesn't add up to date.

It's not possible, if it didn't reflect on the Trustwallet app, check the address on any coin explorer and it will be there if the transaction has been made, else you were trying to tricked by that person. yeah. I have just checked the explorer, and it appears the transaction is reflected on the explorer with the date the sender made the transaction. I guess it might be an update issue from the trust wallet or likely a network related glitch..
Good thing if its the case. Check your app version if up to date and your internet connection as well. You can also check Trustwallet coins's node status if its up to date, what block # it already has, Preferences > Node Settings > Choose coins.

I have encountered this problem, it's all about the trustwallet where the history or records of the transactions are delayed and only shows later on. If you are not sure about if your wallet have already received then you should use an explorer to check the transaction hash if there's really a crypto fund sent to your wallet. That's what I did when I check the wallet if there's a transaction where a crypto is sent to my address like bitcoin using explorer for bitcoin like mempool.space.

Not a glitch, just a slow network congestion and it's been happening for a while now as I have also been faced with such issue and just like what omegastarscream suggested, tracking the transaction on network explorer is the easiest and simplest way to clear your doubt about the authenticity of the transaction. Am just so suprised why the trust wallet team hasn't yet rectify the issue because I don't know why only their system would be experiencing this.

It is happening on trust wallet. I think someone has posted about it before more than a year ago. Even trust wallet admitted that it is happening but that if the coin has been seen on the balance, that there is no issue. I am surprised that such bug has not been fixed.

It is something normal with Trust Wallet, don't get frustrated. Some people already mentioned checking Bitcoin explorer to confirm the transaction, you can also share your keys into Blue Wallet, they have better confirmation and up to date tracking than Trust Wallet. Sometimes, Trust Wallet don't show your total balance, all you see is a deposit confirmation which can also be tracked by explorer, you will soon get used to it.

I don't use Trust wallet often, but if this is happening for so long, aren't they aware of the issue? and they need to update what they have to update. That's kind of odd when users have been experiencing this for a long time already, and yet, it seems that they are not alarmed that this could push users away from using their wallet. I have experienced this kind of delay in other wallets but those were just a few times and it's only about an update of the wallet itself when they release new versions.

It's better to use a more standard wallet to store your funds. Trust wallet is mostly used by alot of new traders. And to me its gradually turning from a wallet to a centralised exchange as it has so many features to point that out. In this case there's no way there won't be so many errors on their software backend codes including bugs. So many of these wallets get compromised easily as they lack proper updating and maintenance from their developers. All they care about is what they make from providing services.

And to me its gradually turning from a wallet to a centralised exchange as it has so many features to point that out. It is not surprising if that's how it is turning because of this[1]. [1] Binance Acquires Trust Wallet - A Secure Mobile Crypto WalletIn this case there's no way there won't be so many errors on their software backend codes including bugs. So many of these wallets get compromised easily as they lack proper updating and maintenance from their developers. All they care about is what they make from providing services.
A proper update is what they need just like what I have observed from the desktop wallets that I use. But from this, Trust wallet sticks to be an extension type of wallet which makes it easier for people to use it but also an advantage for bad actors.

In my experience, if he deposited from a trust wallet to a trust wallet, then it's usually "in account" transfer (i dont have a better name for it). But the way it works, it's a same client, and funds just get moved internally, leaving no trace on the blockchain. I used to do it before with BTC client, and had no issues

I noticed that with Trustwallet yes, sometimes the last payment doesn't seem to show right away for some reason. But to confirm, all you have to do is check your address in a blockexplorer, if you see this new transaction there and it's confirmed, then you're good.
I'm not so sure why but for some reason close source wallets seem to always have a lot of syncing issues. I experienced the same thing back then when I made use of Electrum. Nevertheless reading through the OP at first I thought it was probably the situation of a transaction yet to be confirmed but still you still get some details including the amount and time stamp. In my experience, if he deposited from a trust wallet to a trust wallet, then it's usually "in account" transfer (i dont have a better name for it). Well this could be feasible too. But I thought it's usually exchanges that have this internal transfer option, or has trust wallet integrated exchange kind of internal transfers too?

Maybe you should stop using Trust Wallet, because complaints like this are quite common with Trust Wallet users. What coin did you receive? Is it bitcoin, if it is bitcoin then there is no reason why you should be using Trust Wallet to keep bitcoins, get an open source wallet that is non-custodial, and if your coins are worth a lot of money, then you should buy a hardware wallet for offline storage.
