Look at the M2 money supply in the dollar continues to grow every year and it will weaken the FIAT currency, in the case of FIAT currencies all have the same mechanism and the certainty is that with the increase in supply it will reduce the value of your money, and will you continue to keep your FIAT and let it lose its value, why not just keep your money in bitcoin? Even though you know that Bitcoin has fluctuations, you can still believe that Bitcoin will always fight Inflation and maintain and increase the value of Bitcoin, OR IN OTHER WORDS PRESERVE AND ADD TO YOUR WEALTH IN THE LONG TERM.

As much as we want to tell everybody to save in BTC, it's because not everyone is oriented about it and that's why we need to rely on ourselves in saving Bitcoin. We have been telling those that are not yet convinced about saving in BTC that their fiat is being lessened down by the inflation. I think we all agree with that and they need to think of it as soon as they are seeing the rapid price increase of commodities. And another reason might be that, it's just that they are not fond of this type of investment and asset. They're the old traditionals that will keep themselves safe from the trouble of how highly volatile Bitcoin is and on how they only will rely to the old investments they know.

Many people believe in Fiat even though its value has been weakened by inflation every year.
Maybe we think bitcoin is a store of value for the future... I agree with this but at least I still hold a little fiat for necessity.

But at least there are assets stored in bitcoin in the long run, this can be a retirement fund or for children's education later.

But many parents now still don't understand about bitcoin they are better off keeping the value mostly in gold.

Sure I will, if I can pay my rent in bitcoin, to pay for my fuel, to pay everything that I spent fiat on. So we knew what is the actual problem even if you are in the complete favor of bitcoin.

Bitcoin should be accepted everywhere as payment before we even talk about removing the fiat from it's existence. Even when we have merchants and customers are ready with their bitcoin now we got scalability issue, bitcoin network is not really made to process thousands of transactions per second.

Many people already do that. The thing is, putting all of your savings in btc is equally dangerous. What you want is a diversified portfolio. Put some btc, gold, stocks, bonds and even FIAT in it and you’ll have a financial fortress which will survive any catastrophic environment. Gold has been doing great lately. FIAT is crap in the long run but you still want to have some because we buy stuff with FIAT and market crashes happen all the time.

Sure Bitcoin is a gamble as one can hold a percentage of Bitcoin as savings and lose significantly if the price goes against your bought price and sometimes the losses can be highly significant even more than the amount your Fiat will lose to inflation if saved in the bank, but then also we still prefer Bitcoin regardless if and when we understand the risk and requirements that come with Bitcoin investment, and before you save in Bitcoin you should be prepared to wait for some time if you see that the market trends are going against your position. But if you talk of holding Bitcoin's position on future trades as an asset yeah I agree doing so is the same as gambling with your money and one can lose at any point in time.

What about real estate? People who have enough wealth should definitely add real estate to their portfolio because it is one of the most profitable investment industries anywhere in the world. When inflation rises, the value of your real estate assets will boom as well, and even in bad economic situations, you will still have a high-value portfolio this way.

Gold, Bitcoin, and Real Estate, these are what I would prefer. Take out real estate only if you think you don't have that much money, only choose gold and Bitcoin, and keep some cash as well.

Not all people are into bitcoin so it's only natural that they pick fiat when they save money. If all people know bitcoin then why do you think that there's still people who use banks to get money or withdraw money?. For people who know cryptocurreny then they will buy more than one crypto to have diversity on their investment. If you are trading BTCUSDT, BTCUSDC and others in derivatives market, you are not trading bitcoin but trading bitcoin derivative pairs. It is different from trading bitcoin which is BTC/USDT and others. This thread is about bitcoin in the spot market which is BTC/USDT and others and not about the derivative market which is not bitcoin but its derivatives.

As for me, bitcoin is not gambling if you understand the market. There are time to buy which will be good for holders to take the opportunity. I see bitcoin more as a speculative asset. If you are able to speculate the market very well, you will not lose but make money from bitcoin holding.

Real estate is a good idea but it also depends on the size of the portfolio.

Small portfolio owners might prefer REIT’s since buying the whole property is pretty costly. If the size of the portfolio is over a million usd, then it makes more sense to buy a full property instead of buying its shares.

Dealing with the tenants is not easy though. Also repairs&maintenance of the property is not cheap. RE sounds good on paper but it is not for everyone.

Ah yeah, Bitcoin has that limited supply thing going for it. So, in theory, it could be a good way to keep your money safe from inflation. But you are acting like Bitcoin is a sure thing. Like its guaranteed to go up and fight inflation. But its not. Its super volatile.  You say "just keep your money in Bitcoin." But what if you need that money right now and its value suddenly drops? You could lose a lot! Its risky.

As far as I know about the performance of the Fiat currency, I agree that if you keep it for a long time it will not make the owner calm because of its value that will continue to decline in value due to inflation.
No wonder the way to save it must be changed to investment. Most people choose the type of gold investment because it can maintain value to the Fiat currency.

No wonder about the continued increase in fiat money every period (I do not call it every year) because of the need. We also need it because Fiat is an official currency.
Bitcoin is a good choice for hedging for Fiat and some parties even assessed that Bitcoin is better than gold after they conduct research as a long -term value. Bitcoin fluctuations make it different from other assets.

When it comes to avoiding inflation it's not much of a gamble. Just look at the price of goods and services in fiat vs the same in bitcoin over the last 10 years.

What would you save in if you could? Fiat sucks. Bonds and savings accounts suck. You can't pay with gold and you can't easily move or sell real estate. You're left with bitcoin.

Real fact here man. Fiat is damn screwed ever since the banking system decided to flaw it by introducing notes as money against gold , silver and other precious stones we used back then as money. Saving in flat is something that has actually never been profitable since we switched to notes.

People saving in fiat, are actually trapped in the context of interest when in the end inflation still puts them in losses. Bitcoin is not perfect though it is a good investment but the point is you just can't beat inflation without risking.

Bitcoin isn’t always the solution to fight inflation because of its volatility, but one can diversify investments to grow wealth or even start a business. The worst thing to do is to just save money, since it will always be subject to inflation.

It’s important to understand how the fiat system works, the more money is printed, the weaker the economy becomes. That should be a warning sign to act before our savings lose value due to inflation.

If I had to decide, I’d put 50% into Bitcoin + some altcoins, and the rest into starting my own business.. that way, I’d have more control over my financial future.
