Since I have been gambling for a long time now I have only won big amounts twice and since then it is either I won too little or none.

I am giving out this advice to all gamblers on this forum, that whenever they win big while gambling they must not expect another to happen easily.

Expectations in gambling makes you think that another win is coming, this thoughts makes you use the money in worst possible ways. When you win, handle it like no other one is coming, at least for a while, Use the money well.

It's really the unknown, we don't know when we are going to win and when will be the next big one. So for me, if you win big then enjoy, maybe you buy something for you and for your family. The point is that you won't give it back to the casino right away after a huge win. I remember back then when I won more that $3k, I just went and treat some of my friends and my families. I didn't think of coming back again and try to replicate that win because I might not win that big or eventually lost all the money. So as I have said, just be happy with it and spend it wisely.

I think this are for mostly those that are irresponsible gambler because they felt the more they gamble the luckier they becomes while gambling and to me I think this logic doesn't work that way.

Again, there are people who believes that when they win, they would double their bet size and including their previous winning adding it up together to bet again, this would increase their chances of winning huge amount. To me, all these strategies are to lure someone dip into addiction and keep losing their winning at all cost due to that baseless theory or principles.

Sure you are absolutely right, whenever winning is secured it's that very much important to leave the gambling site and plan well with their winning and forget about having this feeling that another winning is close by.

Expectations are what make us too disappointed when the results are out when we gamble. It's a good reminder to all of us not to expect a lot when we gamble even if we have won already several times in the past.

Let's just go on with the flow and if big wins have come, be happy with that and don't expect the same results to come.

Nope. Wins are personal and it's likely a rare occurrence that I understand can happen to me too but I don't know when and how much losses I need to deal with before it happens.

Using the money wisely could mean doing something tangible with it that even after weeks have past you look back and be proud of yourself for it. In one of my wins, I used the money to buy something I needed in my apartment that I still tell the story of how that item came about to any friend who pays me a visit it never gets old. I also add that they should gamble responsibly if they feel inspired by the story behind the item.

That's why we often see the phrase "gambling is based on luck" Winning a certain amount of money in gambling is not something that happens immediately, neither does it happen as expected and when expected. A gamblers should be smart enough to already know those things and when they have a huge win, they must know what's right to do with the money but what ever they still choose to do with their wining, that's their business. Huge win doesn't come always but when you get one, I feel it's wise to use it to acquire something significant because if you don't, chances are there that you can lose it again to the casino.

Yes, this is a good advise, but still depends on the mindset of the gamblers. Maybe some of them are wise enough or really in the middle of their gambling addiction, thus cannot control themselves even if they have won big already.

But for those who are just lucky enough or even playing for fun, a good win is very much appreciated. Just like today, another family friend won, and so he ordered food for us to eat and have some beers for dinner,  .

That is why gambling is always classified as a game of luck, no two ways about it when it comes to gambling. Because the losing part is always higher than the winning, so for you to be safe and minimize losses in gambling is by noing when to stop. more especially if you are winning in gambling the best thing ever you can do to your self is by being contented with the amount you have already won, because though once you continue to gamble for more would going to end up regretting at last.

Good point, OP. I wish your words would go to the ears of those who think they have caught luck by the tail and are now holding on to it very tightly.
I also adhere to this policy. No one can win all the money. Therefore, if we are lucky and have received some increase, it is better to quit and come to play another time. This will save you from the stress if you are stubborn and play even more. On the other hand, it is better to come out of the game as a winner than to blame yourself later for your greed.

That's why Gambling is a game luck. It's either you lose or win and the lose is always more than the win. You are even lucky you won big twice. Some people have never win big before. For me I haven't won a huge amount before but have won decent amount.

It's not as possible as you think, because that's the nature of gambling. Gambling makes you have high hopes or expectations even when you are not sure whether you will win or lose. Folks gamble without win and still continue and hoping one day they will win big, so if they eventually win big someday, they will even gamble more hoping they gonna win and close down the casino or the gambling center.

Just as they say "opportunity comes but once" so is gambling. There is always a climax in the total game won in a persons life. It could be that someone won $20, $50, $100 or $100k so the climax of a person win may be $100k and after winning such amount, the person may never have that opportunity ever again. But $100 below may be possible.but if the person won $50 there may be chances to win higher in the future.

That's true. It's rare to win huge amounts twice in a row in gambling. The other day, I staked with a small sum less than the $50 you mentioned and I won a very huge amount. So much that the amount I used to stake was not even a drop in the ocean when it came to comparison. As usual, I tried to stake again after removing my winning with a small amount I left and as was expected it didn't pan out.
Most times people get carried away by a winning and forget that they need to take their it and leave but will entertain greed by trying to play again and end up losing everything.
 I'd admit that I'm also guilty of this mistakes and have been taught a bitter lesson one too many times.

This is the problem that gamblers are having, they feel that winning big waa by their own doings unknown to them that they were lucky. Big wins hardly come, and if you are lucky to win big, you should appreciate your luck and use the money wisely. Instead, of having the false belief that you can win big again. This is why no one can ever make a living through gamble, because the wining is not always stable. Of course if you win today definitely it will still take a couple of weeks/months before you can still experience win that's depending on the strategy you're using to gamble, but even as that winning does not come in a row. This is why we don't need to be carried away by the excitement we get maybe when we experience win in gamble, because most people after they experience win in gamble they will be tempted to keep trying to see if they can increase the wining. And they will just fall for this temptation, because they will think that after all they are still in the wining line. and in the process of trying to increase the wining sometimes they will end up giving them back those money which they have already won.

I do tell people that gambling wins are like a trap set for you to lose more. If you don't learn how to withhold yourself from gambling further, that's how you will lose more than the amount you win because your mind is set after more wins since you are lucky to have a win, more wins are on the way. It's very unfortunate that we learn this hard truth after we might have made the mistake and it becomes too late for us to do anything about it. Most people see large winnings in gambling as it was their own making. They see it as it was their strategies that made the winning possible and if they repeat what they did again, that they stand the chance of winning again and again, so they go about and flex the money on things that won't add value to their lives, believing that more is coming, but it is never like that.
Some do call that big win initiation oath. that the big win is what your brain will keep referencing to whenever you want to quit gambling. Your brain will keep telling you that if you were able to win the last time, what makes you think you can't win again.

If I win 1.5 odd or more, I withdraw the money from the gambling site. I prefer to fund the gambling account with another small amount of money the following week. If I win such odd, I do not gamble again that week. Gambling is fun but when I win, I prefer just not to gamble that week again because I will not want to lose the money to the gambling site again.

Nor ever. We often hear about winning streaks but it does not really happen often. One may continue gambling in hopes of making it big but they often just lose more of their money in the process and even lose the one big win they were able to get at the start.

People hear one story and think that it can happen to them as well no matter how unrealistic it is. We will always hope and think that we are special and we can win.

Just as we cannot always win, we cannot always lose.
We can win and vice versa because winning and losing cannot be separated from gambling.
The problem is that we find it difficult to control ourselves in these two situations, when we win we think it is a time of luck and when we lose we think about taking back what has been lost, and it is indeed difficult to be wise when winning because basically humans can never be satisfied with what they have achieved.
