That may be the most effective way to avoid malware and not loosing you funds, but not everyone can get their hands on a good hardware wallet. Even though I am involved with crypto, I cannot directly buy or acquire a hardware wallet nor order one from online. Because Crypto is banned in my place. And there is no way for me to have one. Even if I ordered one from abroad, I fear it might be blocked/seized by the custom authority, or I could get in real trouble for that.

This is why, I always try to keep my eggs in different baskets, you know what I mean. That way, I can at least assure that, I won't lose it all at once.

All I can say is that you can't always be careful, smartphones are for daily use and we use them to do a lot of things, this means that the chances of doing something stupid is very high, same as using a crypto wallet on a desktop computer too.

Hardware wallet isn't the same, they are specifically built for strong crypto assets only, they are mostly offline if you choose wisely and you will only bring them out when it is your time to make some transactions.

One think we need to keep in mind about our crypto portfolio is to make sure that we have a separate phone for any financial business so we don't mix things up. To be fair, a company's security practice needs to be very good because tons of people work in that environment. If one of them made a silly mistake then the effect will be disastrous. A user practicing good security practices isn't as difficult as that imo.

Just to add on what OP mentioned on his list, people should always be extra vigilant and responsible for all the links, application, and websites you enter. If a random stranger suddenly messages you asking you to join their group in Telegram or in any other social platform, be wary and responsible. Do not download any links that are not from any verified sources.

Prevention is better than cure; always remain at high alert especially if you keep your BTCs or password in your personal computer. Take extra steps into purchasing hardware wallets for extra protection and security.

One last thing to note, if you have any cryptocurrencies inside exchanges, be sure to transfer them whenever you have access to a hardware wallet. Exchanges have been scammed and hacked in the past; do not rely on the latter for security for your cryptocurrencies.

You have to check how genuine a link ia before you click on it some are actually malawe and you that you have wallet you have to be very careful when you click on all this stuff because people are always curious and they say curiosity kills the cat you don't have business with does links so it will be better to just aviod them so that you don't put your assets at risk because people are seriously on a hunt for people's properties.

Not all malwares or viruses will be detected by the antivirus. It's better to use the links that you know are legitimate rather than from sources that isn't sure or even know if it's safe. Using strong passwords may be of help but if you don't have a backup and forgot the password then you know what will happen. this is true and sometimes when we consider the different ways we can be caught off guide regarding our asset security you will be tempted to conclude that safety is just of the lord because you cant be too sure of the efficacy of the safety measure you are implementing. there are some anti virus you install and it looks as though it is stealing some vital information from you, the updates we do on our regular apps are becoming too suspicious because we cant tell which is legit and which is not legit. if you want to be too careful on clearing cookies or refusing to give your device to a third part, it also comes with it own issue especially when you have wards around you that might once in a while need to make use of your device for something. i have always recommended that if the resource is available, getting a separate device thats strictly for crypto related transaction is the best thing to do so it becomes easy to monitor these safety measures.

Even after these tips, many still get attacks from malmare because we can never be too careful and then accidents happens, I have avoided clicking on random links for as long as I can remember and it has saved me from multiple attacks from phishing websites, Malmare and phishing attacks are very sneaky and malicious that even the most cautious person can be taken off guard hence the reason why I don't work or leave my data on the moment I notice that am sleeping sleepy or dizzy.
