I am glad to announce that Betpanda.io is sponsoring the Bounty Hunter Poker League . If you don't have an account with Betpanda.io please check them out for super cool bonuses and promotional offers.
Bounty Hunter Poker League will be a 4-week poker event where every week there will be a bounty hunter tournament with a $100 GTD standard prize pool for top-place finishers and an additional $5 fixed bounty for knocking out someone (for example if you knock out 3 players you will get additional $15 apart from $100 which is fixed for top finishers).  
Based on your total money earned in all 4 league tournaments top 6 players will get an entry to the grand finale where they will compete for a $200 GTD standard prize pool for the top two places ($125 and $75) and a $50 knock-out bounty for each head they will chop  .

 
Terms and conditions:

1.) You must make at least $1 worth of deposit and wager it one time on Betpanda.io , before the league tournament.
2.) Each league tournament requires separate buy-in.
3.) The first league tournament is scheduled on Sunday, 30th March 2025 at 5 PM UTC.. There will be no late registration/rebuy/add-on.
4.) You have to have at least 1 earned merit or 100 quality posts before this post.
5.) All Prizes will be paid directly into your Betpanda.io wallet in BTC, with only 1x wagering requirement. I reserve the right to pay in USDT as well.
6.) This event will be conducted on pokernow.club, it is completely free and no download is required. You have to PM me your pokernow ID.
7.) If I catch you cheating, I will remove you from this event and every other future event which I will be hosting.
8.) I reserve the right to stop/pause/postpone/prepone this event and in case of any conflict my decision will be final.

Great that it is a knockout bounty tournament as I think it is my favorite format, but heads up is nice too I hope we get a buch of guys on board. Should bump this thread from time to time.

What I have done is to refrain from overly risky moves and the long duration of the blind levels were to my advantage. It gives me time to give it time, I am sure you understand. In faster formats I think a player like you would have an advantage because you take a lot more risk during the game. But if you do it against a player like me, taking more risk when blind levels allow others to be patient is less profitable in the long run if your opponents don't lose their mind in the meantime. You could see that in the heads up tournament. If those blind levels would have been faster, I wouldn't have had the choice to be as patient as I was.

But the same took place in I think the first bounty hunter tournament when it was like the last half an hour or so when I got all these monster hands all the time. Highly aggressive players usually prefer blind levels that go up faster. Notwithstanding that blind levels going up more quickly give an edge to players with higher risk preferences, it increases the luck factor for all players as less hands are played and the one who gets the better hands in the now shortened period of time literally has the upper hand in many instances. There is less room for tactical maneuvering.

No you do not need to be on top places in order to get bounties. Whenever you will knock someone out you will get $5, no matter what is your final standing in that tournament.

After 4 league tournaments there will be a Grand Finale where  6 players with most amount of money earned from all 4 tournament combined will fight for $500 GTD. In GF we will have $125 for 1st place and $75 for second.
Apart from this fixed $200 prize pool, you will get $50 bounty each time you will knock out anyone.

When I made my last post I thought for a second to edit it and add that there is a reason why my exists and that I don't end up losing my mind, but now you are bringing it up, the years of experience. Guess where this is all coming from - Pokerstars. I played multi table tournaments for so many years and while I think that hyper and turbo is fun, I figured that playing tournaments with deeper stacks and slower blind structures gave me an edge as long as I did not become a loose player for no reason. Many players can do the calculations more or less, understand table positioning etc, but only a minority of players sticks to the rules they impose upon themselves.

There are still a couple of other things that give good players an edge, but that edge is getting smaller if it is not for some other players losing their mind anymore.

Format is pretty easy to understand so basically we play for 4 rounds which is 1 month and top 6 in winnings gets to play on the grand finale for extra cash huh. The only downside from this was the 1x wagering for all those prizes which is kinda meh but oh well cant really expect a non poker related site to be that generous either way

Buy-in requirement is only $1 minimum deposit at betpanda.io and wagering it 1x, before the 1st League tournament. So yes, you have secured your seat for the 1st League tournament.

The only downside from this was the 1x wagering for all those prizes

It is only 1x and you can wager it on any game at betpanda.io with no minimum or maximum bet limitations.
IMO it is nothing and honestly betpanda.io showed a great gesture of goodwill. You can PM me about how to do it safely, I have lot of experience from my past tourneys Lol.

Yeah IMO it is quite easy to get into GF if you play all 4 league tournaments. I understand your time slot related limitations but as you have already mentioned that there is a chance that you might hop in, I am sure it will not be easy for others .

The only problem is that I don't know if I will be free on the weekend to play this tournament. I really will try to be there, but I can't promise anything.

Regarding betpanda.io planning to integrate poker client into their platform, I am sure they are thinking in that direction (honestly I am not the right person to tell you any thing with authority) but this event is specifically sponsored by them to strengthen our poker community here.

There has to be a balance between the interest of players and the interest of the sponsors in order to make these events sustainable. You know this far better than I do. IMHO 1x wagering requirement is nothing, you can complete it in a million ways without losing more than 1-5% of your funds most of the time. Besides that, you can complete that in any game with any amount of bets, no restriction at all.
 

The game is ran off platform, so we should have the option to be paid off platform. I get why they want to pay on the site, but I like having options since it's not hosted on their site.

I am not sure if this logic holds up . Not all variables that are essential to the success of this event are running 'off the platform' like sponsorship.

I will try my best to convince a reputable member like you to get onboard, but I will also respect your well informed and experienced point of view regarding this. Just give it a chance, and I will try my best not to disappoint you .
