A good idea. I have also tried this and it was quite helpful by going through my local board threads to understand basic information about the forum and also realized that the forum isn't as hectic as thought when you first visit it and see the not so fancy interface. I also tried to reach out to few senior members of the local board to help guide me on the basics and integral aspect of the forum like the posts and activities count and the merit system.
I believe The reason why most newbies find it pretty difficult to adapt, grow and navigate the forum with ease is often because what they were told before/when joining the forum. Call out some of the newbies here and ask them why they’re here, you’d be shocked to hear their responses. Some of them were actually misinformed and then they come and try to grow with that misinformation which makes it pretty hard for them. Some even get to know what the forum is really about, right after they’ve joined the forum and got to interact with some of the enlightened folks here.

Maybe I'm too picky, but we live in 2025, a time when people have been using the Internet for many years. The question immediately arises: if we create user guides on surfing the forum for new participants, how do they  exist without these guides in the ocean of the Internet and many sites? I think that the very understanding of what a forum is cannot be incomprehensible and new to many, which means the rules of existence should be the same for many forums. Being self-disciplined and being able to navigate through the necessary sections, reading interesting things, and answer or asking questions of interest is the meaning of being on the forum. Communication that will lead to growth: there are no templates; go there and write this. The forum is not a closed institution with rules that differ from people's presence on the Internet.

I think that nobody mentioned this before, but I have recently known about Talksearch.io and it claims to have a superior performance to Bitcointalk's builtin search.

You'd better look into it by yourselves. Here is the link to NotATether's thread about it. You'll tell me what you think Smiley
