Randomly saw a post earlier saying you could get rewarded in XRP just for verifying KYC and doing a bit of trading, like up to 100+ XRP or something. Not sure if it’s old news or one of those sketchy things that pop up now and then.

Did anyone else come across this or try it out already? I didn’t click through fully, but it kinda looked like it’s part of some campaign running right now.

Could be nothing, but figured I’d ask here in case someone’s already looked into it. If it’s real and not some bait, it’s actually not bad. Anyone know more?

You are right and if that be a case of an exchange in that response, that means they are running a marketing strategy to obtain users to the platform which can only be achieved by giving bonuses.
But in any case, it does not seem encouraging to trade on platform just because of the bonus offers. If you are not aware, there are means they could be extracting from you which is to say the bonus was just a sign post to lure you.
I think whoever than comes across that of Ops should just be careful.

Random posts should be taken serious in the market? These exchanges wouldn't seem to amaze me with these outstanding features and rewards. All for what exactly? There have  been some dump and pump in the market, we learn to acknowledge the fact that these rewards are never up for grabs and even though they're true, what other extending features we could possibly trigger because the market is never a solid route for hope, we work initially to understand the market.

I also came across an event similar to the one the OP mentioned. I think it’s on Bitget where new users get to be rewarded with XRP after their first trade. In my opinion, it’s just another way to gain more users, afterall these exchanges want to increase their customers.

Hmm, that’s exactly what I was thinking too. “Up to” is always a bit of a red flag because it usually means only a few people actually get the max reward. I was hoping it was one of those things where even if you don’t get the full amount, you still walk away with something decent. But yeah, if there’s no track record of people actually getting paid out properly, it’s probably not worth the hassle.

Well I do think we all want to see that post you are saying you did see. To make 100 xrp tokens is more then $200. I do think alot of people will do the kyc just for the free tokens.
But there is also alot of scams like this I have seen. On Twitter there is alot of fake links so we must be careful if we think we can get something like that for so easily.

That may be Bitget event. They are incentivizing the people who did KYC in their platform, and also completed several tasks in order to give you XRP reward. You have to reach 5 millions futures trade volume in order to receive 106 XRP, but it's hard to do that.

For me, it's not worth with the risk unless you're a smart futures trade who can always get profit from your trade. I also hereby to confirm that the title may be a little click bait as it says "complete your KYC and receive 106 XRP as your reward".

It's typical CEX's marketing to attract people to come to their platforms.

i believe that this campaign is from an exchange because you need to do some trading to get the reward. but the 100 xrp reward is quite high just for verifying your identity and trading. i suggest you do some research on the platform, because i think the reward is just too good, and it could be an attempt to scam people into giving up their identity.

100+ xrp is a lot especially considering how high the price of xrp has gotten for sure many would be attracted to this offer i don’t know anything about this but there’s most likely some absurd requirements you have to meet in order to qualify so no thanks from me

This is a subtle shill in my opinion because the point require someone to PM you or indicate interest for you to send further instructions which you did not share in the posts. Nice try for me but I will pass on this because the offer you are making is too tempting and therefore may not be true. Maybe you need more referrals in one platform that promise you heaven on earth, the reason you are here to get them. Like others already said, the amount you are quoting cannot be paid to someone for ordinary KYC. It is, like the saying goes, too good to be true.

Be careful with those type of campaigns. They can promise a lot of XRPs and other altcoins in return of complying to KYC. But guess what? They can also decline or reject your application afterwards. That's how these campaigns are working for these when they don't succeed. They'd tell you that you'll only get the rewards once the project becomes successful. And that's why if you are going to participate and comply with such, you have to be ready with the any potential outcome because not all of them are truthful to their rewards especially if you have just seen them randomly somewhere.

Those are campaigns which are typical of centralized exchanges which seek to increase the percentage of users who are fully verified within their platform. It is something which I have also witnesses in Binance from time to time, they promise you to give you some crypto-currency rewards in exchange of going full KYC and do some trading, they also encourage to bring people to join the exchange and get a reward after depositing and completing KYC.

It is not outright a scam, but before diving into those offers one needs to check the terms of the promotion and be sure what one can get from them in exchange of one's personal information.

That's a risky gamble, especially if there's no proof that people actually receive XRP in return for their KYC.

Sometimes, we don’t realize that we might just be getting scammed. Our KYC information and documents can be used for identity theft, and the risk is that, in the future, we might be involved in illegal activities online without even knowing it.

So, we should avoid going down this route if we want to stay safe. Never believe in making money without investing money, as most of these schemes are scams - this one included.

That's crazy. It's more as an incentive and not a reward. Who the heck is going to chase for that when they've just KYCed and passed on it.

But those that have been verified and trading there for so long, they can take that for however they want it to be. These are the kind of mechanics that are absurd.
