Remember, gambling is either an act of entertainment; or for profit. If your goal is to derive entertainment from gambling, then if you feel like it does not give you any joy or any form of happiness, then perhaps it is the time to move-on and look for greener pastures. In addition, if your goal in gambling is to earn profit but you only experienced losses, then maybe another kind of venture would be better at your situation.

People have different reasons for gambling and it is the same reasons that will determine when they stop or quit for the day, a responsible gambler and an addict have different mindsets when they gamble. A responsible gambler plans his bankroll before gambling and can quit when the fund finishes or when he feels like calling it a day because he is in control of his emotions. An addict will most likely quit when he has run out of funds to gamble, as far as he is winning or he has more money to gamble, he will not know how to quit and call it a day. Gamblers should have the discipline to control themselves while gambling, anyone that doesn't will likely end up becomeing addicted.

It doesn't mean that because gamblers are after winning, they will just quit because they don't have it. Whether you agree with me or not, these gamblers don't believe that every bet is a losing bet. Because if that is true, nobody will gamble anymore. So why do they keep gambling despite the low odds of winning? That is because the hope is there, and they believe that luck comes the next day or the next bet.

So many reasons for a gambler to stop.

Someone can stop gambling as long as he has an activity that can affect his source of income, in other words an activity that can produce money that is quite promising. Although it will not 100% eliminate his habit of gambling, but at least it will reduce it and gamble only when he has free time to relieve his boredom.

I think the right time for a gambler to stop gambling is when he or she is experiencing too much losses in gambling. Is all it takes to pull you down.

Stopping is when the money mapped out to gamble with has been exhausted before such person should think of stopping than continue gambling using additional funds, we know that everyone usually have a gambling budget and until the budget has been exhausted they wouldn't stop or space the casino. Like you said, when such amount is used up then such person should be able to wait till the next time they funds their account to gamble again than dipping hands in the funds that is not set or meant for gambling.

Some of the ones I mentioned are some of the common conditions that are the reasons for gamblers to quit gambling. And from a positive perspective, gamblers who are still gambling, they just consider it as entertainment and small wins are just a bonus.
