Like the title expressed it all, I am wondering at what point should a gambler stops gambling?

If gambling doesn't have any side effects on real gamblers, it will be very difficult for them to stop gambling because there will be a time in their lives when gambling will be the only thing they will derive fun from, and gambling will even help them to live longer, so there's no exact point or time to stop gambling.

Again, why do people keep trying luck even after knowing that the Next game still won't gonna give them winning they desired?

Even though the next game or next gamble won't give gamblers the winning they desired, since they can control their gambling habits in such a way that they will not borrow money to gamble or use the money meant to run their family to gamble, they should keep on gambling since gamblers don't know when they will hit a jackpot.

when you’re an addicted gambler,it is always difficult to see yourself out of it even at the verge of failure,anyday you don’t gamble it will look as if something is missing right inside of you.Same goes to drug addict,if they try force themselves to cease,it will result to another bodily injury like seizures.Both are working in pari pasu.Gambling work with people emotions,if you’re an emotional being when it comes to gambling.It obvious that,you will always sees opportunity in the midst of failure.

Age is only a but a number it does not limit us to doing soft things. Anyone can gamble even at age a gambler can choose to gamble. But some persons get tired of gambling after having a family to look out for. Some quite due to the idea that gambling is for young people so after reaching a particular age they don't feel the need to gamble anymore. While majority quit gambling because they have never won anything substantial all their life as a gambler.

The OP didn't specifically mentioned if he meant quitting totally from gambling or just taking a break for the day, probably when the gambler is losing so much. That's why in my first comment, I was asking him if he meant quitting permanently or just taking a break due to losing streak. That has not been answered yet but if he meant quitting, then what you said is absolutely right, quitting in gambling is not based on age but just some personal decision due to any reason of the individual.

I agree and disagree with you at the same time. I agree with you if the gambler is rich like me. Because my monthly expenses are fixed. I cannot spend more than a certain amount for myself and my family. So I can gamble more than I need. If I win then I will make a profit and I can invest more money in gambling or I can build some assets. So people like me can continue gambling until our monthly expenses are gone.

But I have some friends who are in business. Now if they think like me then I think it will not take them long to go bankrupt. Because many of them have taken large loans from the bank. And many of them do not have a fixed budget for their monthly expenses. And if they think like me and continue gambling then they will lose all their money very quickly.

Why should the gambler stop if I may ask? I feel for the gambler tho stop, there should be a solid reason behind it, maybe addiction issues, struggles with finances, personality change( possibly elevated to a religious position) or whatever reason that necessitates quitting gambling. I think answers to the question advice would provide a specific direction of contributions

Personally, gambling ain't doing no wrong to me and never interfering with my schedules nor am I gambling responsibly, so my quitting gambling isn't yet in view.

A gambler knows when they should stop gambling and if they are honest with themselves, they'll look for help if they find it difficult to stop.

As long as you are not mentally unstable we still have the capacity to know when we are engaging in a self-destructive habit and we know when to call for help. Why some gamblers don't do so it because they are too proud to ask for one so they do down with the habit.

Well, I stopped gambling when this happened to me;
 1. I never find gambling entertaining
 2. I experience a losing streak
 3. Lack of budget

I considered stopping physical gambling when my partner began to complain that I spent more time during the weekend gambling. There was a time I got a job that needed me to interact with young adults, and I had to restrict myself from gambling since I was now a role model. But  if I'm to be a judge over this I think a gambler should stop gambling when he/she feels the games ain't in favour of them and when the chances of losses are more higher than the chances of winning. Whereas no one will ever enjoy to keep loosing without winning so it's advice to give a stop at that end.

Ture facts. The way we humans take some certain actions at times on things they lack experience of, not minding the level of advice someone with that experience will give to them. Well, everyone has to be their own judge at some point because at the end they will do whatever they have place in their mind to do. Neither family problem (parent/wife/child ask to stop gambling), productivity problem (can't focus, anger issue, keep complaining), financial problem (can't pay bills, in debt, drain all savings, asking a loan).

Well yes that's what I think too, because the title above can be two ways, namely quitting permanently or just taking a break as you said, but the point is a gambler must stop when they are experiencing a losing streak or when their involvement is no longer healthy in the sense that it has caused many financial problems then they must stop permanently, there is no other better choice than that.
Another thing, yes I agree with your opinion and my friend @Agbamoni that the decision to stop does not depend on how old you are but rather depends on whether your involvement in gambling is problematic or not.

These are the pretty basics of a gambler would do but the impact would be made isnt something that would really be that good.
It will really be that important that you should really be that knowing or be wary into the actions that you are really that making because

It is true that it is better not to experience bad experiences in gambling yourself because we actually already have examples from other people's experiences that we can learn from.
It is indeed not advisable to gamble beyond our means, even spending all our income on gambling. That is why it is important for gamblers to always be disciplined regarding the allocation of funds that they will use for gambling.
We don't need to experience bad experiences ourselves until we can decide to stop gambling. But when there are signs that our gambling activities have started to deviate, we should stop first to evaluate the mistakes we made in gambling.
