Very good news. But we shouldn't forget that ordinarily, this is what it's supposed to look like. Being paid something that looks equal to the job one is doing (graduate level entry salary). Somehow it is a normal thing that is supposed to have been by now... This increment will help CORPERS so much!

A look into NYSC, there are so much the Federal government should do that's not originally the idea behind NYSC but have been introduced and that's fully empowering SKILL AQUISITION AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT (SAED) program. Whereby new skills will be fully learned as a CORPER free of charge. Not limited to physical skills but including various digital skills.

A situation where a CORPER is entitled to learn up 3 different skills as the case may be.

I don't think the Nysc bylaws restricted corners from voting doing election. Infact coppers are used to rig election for the selfish politicians. So I'm not out of place when I said the 77k will influence coppers vote for Tinubu because they will use them to rig election for Mr president.

I expected this increment for corp members since the FG implemented new minimum wages for workers, but it took time before they should add it for corpers. This 77k is more reasonable than that of 33k because it will go a long way for them, but the way corpers celebrated for this 77k to my experience during my service  I don't think it's worth celebrating for like that, but it's because they are still new to the system.
This increment will primarily benefit those who relocate to their home state and serve there, even if they increase it to 100k with the current cost of living in the country, I don't think it will make much difference for those who serve outside of their state.

But to be honest, life after service is the most frustrating and difficult stage for many Nigerian youths because it is this stage most of them have no choice but to go the negative way. And it's this stage you will realize that all those uncles who promised you a job after service are not real.  Tinubu has failed to fulfill all of his promises, making him the worst president our nation has ever had. corp members need to be vigilant about their future.

I may not dwell much on the achievement of Tinubu this 2 years because of complaints could change this nation, citizens have complained enough. My view is on the 77k. It is not new that this amount is just little above $48 which can not sustain an average person for 30 days.  With 19.8k paid in 2016 which is almost $100, it is much better than this present pay. The right thing is everyone should be careful with his expenses. Make little investment the much you can. Every corper have to know there's no time for enjoyment. Learn skills and have a backup plan. Anyone in this Nigeria have to be intentional about making money, the government policies are not favourable so everyone has to device a means to survive legally.
