The volatility of Bitcoin isn't really as high as other crypto currencies (altcoins) this makes them more stable compared to others. But you are right, investing in Bitcoin also puts you at risk of losing but the rate of the dip isn't going to exhaust your portfolio the way altcoins does.  To me this is one of the reason why Bitcoin is more invested in than any other crypto currencies in the market. At the end of the day everything we invest in the financial market is risky.

Your opinion is correct @Tungbulu on one aspect of bitcoin exercise which is Trading. Bitcoin investment comes with a very low risk and stress. This is because a real bitcoin investor (not a Trader) does not invest for immediate profits. He invests for a very long period of time of even up to 10 years. Bitcoin is an asset which gets much better over a period of time.

When it comes to bitcoin trading, there's a lot of risk and not many people can withstand bitcoin volatility, hence the risk is not very worth taking.
