For everyone who loves Bitcoin and watching movies there is a chance to attend Bitcoin FiilmFest in Warsaw Poland.
This event is going to take place from May 22 to May 25, in Kinoteka, Warsaw.
Early audience is worth €55 and they are accepting Bitcoin payments only, including Lightning Network.

There are many sponsors and patrons and I noticed familar services like kycnot.me, orangefren, cryptosteel, etc.

I am sure most of the movies will be released on youtube and similar services after festival is finished.
This are not big budget movies that are seen on notflix, it's mostly documentaries, shorter movies, AI videos, etc.

I'm a bit surprised to see so many films about Bitcoin. I never expected there to be such a surge of interest in Bitcoin, and I've previously watched a few documentaries of varying lengths that touched on issues directly related to Bitcoin.
Unfortunately, I won't be able to watch the film live, and I really hope it's of good quality, otherwise it won't be released on platforms. There may still be some hesitation from major film producers and screenwriters to support such a concept.

This is interesting. I have never seen any of the movies listed in the OP neither have I seen a trailer for any of them. I guess there aren’t any popular actors starring in the movies that can draw public interest. After seeing the topic, I went online to check the storyline for movie ‘Hodl’, and it seems quite interesting. However the movie interprets the term ‘hold’ as holding on for dear life. That to me is a misinterpretation of the term and since it’s a crypto show that’s being financed by crypto as they say, then it should have all the facts right.

I believe this to be a majorly documentary about Bitcoin, and I must say that this fiilmfest would be a lot of fun to attend as lots of educational information would be released as it relates to Bitcoin's invention and many other discoveries that were related to Bitcoin's evolution. I would have loved to be a part of this festival, but doing so means a whole lot of budget running into millions in my local currency, and I just can not afford it right now. Maybe in the future, I will be able to do so, God willing.

I'm surprised by your reaction though, I mean Bitcoin has been covered by mainstream media in a negative or positive way already. So at least there is this interested on Bitcoin already. And some other movie films has also been released or at least it has been mentioned. And as early as 2016, [Collection Thread] Series and films in which Bitcoin (or Altcoins) appear by @tyz.

Majority though won't have the the privilege to go to Poland and watch it.

But for sure we're going to wait for some streaming services like Netfix and watch all of this films.

Very nice to see somewhere is having a film festival for bitcoin as there are alot of movies about it in the past few year.

just recently watched one called Cold Wallet while lounging around looking for something to watch on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

It was quite bad and was mostly about stealing the bitcoins from a founder of an exchange that went belly up.
So hopefully these films have some other storylines that are alot more creative when it comes to this subject.

It would be great to have an event like this in my country. Unfortunately, it is impossible for me to travel so far these days. I hope one day to have the geographic freedom that only financial freedom provides. I will wait to watch them wherever they are released.

Bitcoin FilmFest in Warsaw Poland seems like fun event for people who like Bitcoin and movies. It is good that they are accepting Bitcoin payments including Lightning Network. Many sponsors and supporters including well known Bitcoin services are backing this event. If anyone like Bitcoin and movies this is chance to combine your interests. If anyone is planning trip to Europe this spring visiting Warsaw might be good idea. Bitcoin FilmFest could be great thing to add to trip letting meet people with similar interests and see city culture. Unfortunately I can not attend because I am not an European citizen. But if anyone going their or a citizen so he/she should visit. And also should share his/her experience here.

Wow this looks like fun! Do you have any idea if there will be vendors there or any special guest attendance or like a before or after party with the producers etc? Poland would surely be a fun place to go and make a trip for this. I wonder if this is an annual thing or if this is the first ever one.

This is intriguing.  None of the films mentioned in the OP have ever been viewed by me, nor have I ever seen a trailer for any of them.  I suppose there aren't any well-known actors in the films that can attract viewers. 

Some of them are documentary, afaik, like the My Trust in You is Broken. I think it was released in 2024. It's understandable if there are no S-class actors if the goal isn't about making money from them.

But in the film, the word "hold" means "hang on for dear life."  That, in my opinion, is a misuse of the phrase, and because the show is, as they claim, supported by cryptocurrency, it ought to have all the facts correct.

Can you link the timestamp when it was stated? I don't think I recall hearing that from the short film, just the word "hold".
