China and India are selling goods to Russia, so they get Russian rubles. But at the same time, China and India are also buying Russian oil, gas and raw materials from Russia, which means that they spend the Russian rubles in order to get oil, gas, raw materials and other goods. It's crazy to think that Russia had a fairly fearsome reputation, some even called it a super power, before they embarrassed themselves with the invasion of Ukraine which has decimated their armed forces and shown how their equipment is so poorly built. Putin could have stuck with just intimidation tactics and manipulation which he seemed to work well. Now he has crippled the Russian economy, which was barely managing before the war due to rampant corruption and caused itself to be cut off from outside companies. This is all part of his (rubbish) plan however, because the only way he can retire in peace is if he controls Russia until the day he dies.
