I don't mind ppl posting links about how the logo. I'm waiting for ppl to say Satoshi's connected to the devs which coded the game. It'll be a new reason for social media to become interested in finding out about Satoshi's identity. When stories like this make social media it's keeping bitcoin in headlines so it's more activity & news.

It looks like the btc logo but there's differences. There's got to be a story behind it so ppl should be careful to believe every thing they're reading. If the game's from 1991 how's there a connection between Satoshi & the company which made the game ?

People do love to see what can be interpreted in different way, so I agree with this take - even if it's true, it's just a little easter egg, nothing more.

This is actually pretty crazy and cool at the same time. Can you imagine if Satoshi really just copied this old game logo for the in game currency? I mean I'd say the odds seem good. Great catch here OP that is a good little nugget right there. Could Satoshi have played a role in the creation of this game you think 🤔?
It was not Satoshi who designed the Bitcoin Logo. I think it was a user called bitboy that came up with the logo designed. I see this similarity as a coincidence because I have seen many unrelated artworks looking very similar. Sometimes people get the same inspiration, and you might conclude that they copied each other. We might also reduce that the designer have seen the game or played it.

Oh I see, yes I think I remember seeing something about Satoshi just basically asking everyone here one Btalk one day and he sort of put it out there like hey everyone good with the logo? And everyone was good with it, and so it was and will be and is! Maybe the designer did have the original idea and there is a coincidence I mean it is a fairily simple logo a B with the dollar sign notches. I mean how original can that be? Perhaps the lad subliminally remembered the logo and drew from deep unconscoius memories from playing that game when he was younger and thats what happend, a possible theory Cheesy

It's pure coincidence and the B thing for currencies in a game logo or even shows are mostly being used.

It looks like the btc logo but there's differences. There's got to be a story behind it so ppl should be careful to believe every thing they're reading. If the game's from 1991 how's there a connection between Satoshi & the company which made the game ?
There is no connection. Maybe satoshi also seen the game or anything that's related to these B logos. And obviously with the staring letter of Bitcoin, he's got to make it known through its logo that also signs as letter BTC. I've seen almost the same logos all around but I don't think they're significant or any relation to actual Bitcoin and how satoshi decided for it.

It's a coincidence there's no connection between the game & Satoshi. The logo doesn't mean any thing but it's being discussed in social media like it's a big story. Some ppl will say Satoshi's got some thing to do with it but isn't a significant breakthrough to connect them.

Hey guys, I just found out this interesting thread on reddit :

In the 1991 video game Space Quest IV, the in-game currency, known as Buckazoids, had the Bitcoin BTC logo. Roll Eyes

In a way, before Bitcoin there were Buckazoids.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1jlcfye/btc_in_a_game_from_1991/?share_id=s30czhuqUf5XbNNhyTKyK&utm_content=1&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_source=share&utm_term=1
https://medium.com/@viam_/the-mystery-surrounding-bitcoins-creator-may-soon-be-solved-c7e110ed31d4
I do not believe in conspiracies but I have to admit that some conspiracies do make sense and might be true but in this case, I don't think there is any secret. Buckazoids are a currency in this game, $ symbol is the most acknowledged symbol of a currency in the world, so game devs had to make a symbol for buckazoids to represent them as a currency. Buckazoids starts with B, let's take that one line | from $ and put it on B and call it a buckazoid currency.
As one user above me said, Bitcoin's original logo was BC on a round, yellowish circle.

I do love conspiracies but there are things on which its explainable or something that you can say that it is just coincidence and having that very valid reason on why
this game ends up on having that Bitcoin Logo, just like on what you have said from the initials "B" + $ of a currency then its most likely they will be able to
came up with the idea on adding it up.

Come to think that $ could be having a double line basing up on the fonts.

I’m a bit late commenting on this here, but it’s funny how fast this news went from a cool screenshot online to someone creating a token for Buckazoids (I think that’s what they were called) to try and profit. There’s a whole other side to this crypto world that isn’t really serious, but plays around with lots of money.

I have to admit I'm a bit surprised it hasn't nuked to zero yet.

That's quite a wild ride for a token that just points to a Reddit link. However, if you bought at any time from April 1st to now, you'd be sitting on a loss.

Just goes to show the power of the BTC meme, even if its not really BTC in the picture.

By the way, don't buy this token, if it still needs to be said.

They're trying to make a profit so they'll use top news makers on social media to promote ideas. They know they can't make every opportunity go viral so they'll try to be the first to put top news memes on the market. The ppl behind the tokens know it's going to fail but greed doesn't stop them.

B just a sign of Bitcoin this is not a actual logo. The creator of Bitcoin did not think about the Bitcoin logo, he thought about its cutting-edge technology. B is the first word of Bitcoin, so the B sign has been used as the Bitcoin logo. However, if you look closely, the logo of this game and the Bitcoin logo are not completely the same. It's normal to have similar logos, so it doesn't mean that the creator of Bitcoin copied the logo from them or that the creator of that game created Bitcoin.

~

Well, I believe he actually did think about it.  The original Bitcoin symbol created by Satoshi was more than just some random thing.  The symbol was a capital "B" with two vertical lines - it was obviously a reference to the dollar sign ($), and influenced by other currency symbols, like the Thai baht (฿) standard symbol.  Satoshi intended for it to look and feel like real currency, but with an additional two strokes to set it apart.

The orange logo we all know today came later, created by member of this community, as an update to Satoshis design.  Although there is no "official" version of the bitcoin logo, most of the community accepted
the simple updated design and it is still used to this day.

I respect other forums, of course, but if a theory didn't originate here, it's considered invalid. So, it must just be a conspiracy Establishment theory.

Then again, if we're going to be picky, back in the '90s, a video with 160x100 pixels e.g. was considered, wow!  Wink

(Anyway, with all the Boomers here, maybe they've been able to travel... I think this thread is good for laughs.)

I have to admit I'm a bit surprised it hasn't nuked to zero yet.

Just to follow up on this:

Soo... at least 90% of the people trading this token lost money. You'd have to be very clever or very lucky to capitalize on timing the brief pumps, or else be an insider who scooped some up at the very beginning.

That's the thing about memecoins, they're just based on thoughts, and once those thoughts stop being circulated, the meme withers. It has to compete with all the other memes being created and repopularized in a fight to capture attention.

I dig deeper on what information shared by OP but it appears that their assumption is not true.

That logo represent their currency named Buckazoids in Space Xll. Its just coincidence that it has the logo of Bitcoin but there's really no relation on the current coin we are using now.

Bitcoin has not been launch on that date since no blockchain has ever exist on year 1991.

Also Satoshi publish the whitepaper on year 2008 and he release Bitcoin on year 2009. So everything is just a coincidence and people just got hype or get curious when they see a same like logo of Bitcoin in that game before.

So everything is just a coincidence and people just got hype or get curious when they see a same like logo of Bitcoin in that game before.

It's all just a coincidence, but some people have taken advantage of this to come up with theories to attract attention and create hype.

Similar to the cartoon The Simpsons, there are many creepy coincidences with real life events. Since then, thousands of conspiracy theories have been put forward such as the world is being manipulated or everything is pre arranged by a group of people. But obviously, it's all just a coincidence, so we don't need to make things complicated.

I get the feeling that a lot of people are so obsessed with bitcoin that they see bitcoin everywhere and just one similar detail is enough for them to make crazy assumptions,  Tongue Tongue.

Hey guys, I just found out this interesting thread on reddit :
In the 1991 video game Space Quest IV, the in-game currency, known as Buckazoids, had the Bitcoin BTC logo.
The games in the past were much interesting. But I dont think that someone hid something like bitcoin there. Look, I found something too. The game is Final Fantasy, and it was the year 1994. It is not the complete Bitcoin logo, but it looks similar. And there was an episode of the Simpsons where Homer walked past a store that didnt have a bitcoin logo, but you could tell it had something to do with cryptocurrencies. If we searching, I think we would find a lot more.
