Trump may be correct in his opinion that other countries impose too many tariffs on US goods, which damages US exports. So he thinks that he has the right to implement tariffs on other countries and eventually make the US great again. That's his plan as of now.

It's not that people are used to this, but that news has been forewarned. In late March, Trump announced that he would impose a series of tariffs on April 2 and the market also reacted negatively to the news at the time. That's why the market didn't freak out on the news and didn't dump as much as many feared.

Yes, what we should be concerned about now is whether other countries will impose corresponding tariffs in retaliation against Trump. If they decide to retaliate against Trump and escalate the tariff war, I would see that as a sign of the end of the bull market.

Altcoin holders are certainly losing heavily, so far. Right?

As much as I know, this tarrif increase impact will not only affects other countries importing and exporting from the US but also on the US economy. By the time the presidency will see the generosity of the United States can be replaced when there will be no inflows of external alignments, then he would understand the damage he has caused to the US economy. But for now, he thought the increase of the tarrif is a  strategy to build the economy.

Yeah it would be naive to feel relaxed immediately after just a day of the implementation of tariffs. The effects on it to the market may be felt later on but for now maybe the impact is not as severe yet.

Well, finally, the tariffs are implemented, and you can find the exact details all over social media. However, since the tariffs are now announced and most importantly all that waiting and uncertainty was over, this can be good in the midterm. It would indeed provide a framework for business to plan their strategies. Whether or not the reciprocal tariffs is good for anyone would be a political question but economically there are clarity and this is heading somewhere. If there are counter tarrifs rises, that might volatile the market for a few more months but after that, we would have a more stable and probably a correction towards the upper side. Russia-Ukraine and Israel-Hamas/Hezbollah is still problematic but both sides on both front has been moving towards negotiation which would probably descale the conflict making economical outlook better for the whole world.

I like the tariff. I don't like it because of its effect on the American economy, I like it because of the advantage it gives to the other countries that has had their tariffs increased.

It is time for these countries to wake and seek to be better themselves. Trump is doing what he thinks is best for his country and I don't blame him. The problem is that so many countries are complaining about this tariff. What trump did can be accepted. I am starting to understand the whole point of this tariff declaration done by Trump. So, basically, he has lessened the taxes onthe  income of an American citizen so that they can spend more on their things. Whilst for the government to still have that bread and butter through taxes, they're going to take it from the tariffs. And so, if a normal spender and American citizen doesn't want to spend that much on these imports, they have to support their own local goods that have lower tariffs/taxes. The best impact will be for the American citizens that are hard working and only spends for their food, etc and not with wants that are prolly imported.

A bit doubt of what you think of Trump may not be what really he is up to.
Trump can be intimidating and with his political influence just doing what he wants sentimentally.
I don't think if there had been any country that had impose dubious tarrif on the US rather due regulatory processes were adhered by those countries against US being limited to attain local partnerships services which is a result of exportation in the case of non tarrif legal sanctions.
So that of Trump was horrible. Besides what he aims at is for foreign countries to install industrial layouts and infrastructures in the US to uphold them on his regulations.

It is a strategy because with the tariffs, the US government will benefit because some countries have high tariffs on US goods so they need to do that to compensate. My country has a 64% tariff on US goods and that is what prompted the recent column about the US tariff increase on our country, the impact is quite significant because the stability of the economic growth process will be slightly disturbed.

In Trump's speech he said he wanted to bring back the wealth resources to the US so the tariffs went into effect. This reaction triggered the crypto journey so what happened was that there was a process that could hinder the recovery or increase in the price of the coin and now we can see this in the market.

Initially, I also believed that Trump imposed tariffs on imported goods to balance trade and promote domestic production. But it is clear that the tariff war not only affects the taxed countries but also negatively impacts the US economy. More than $5.3 trillion has been wiped off the US stock market, and that figure is even higher than the crypto market cap.

Not to mention, I realized that moving production lines from overseas, or building factories and being able to manufacture goods domestically would take several years. Meanwhile, Trump's term is only 4 years, so I don't think that's the real purpose of the tariff war.

Recently, Trump posted on social media and called on the Fed to lower interest rates, which reminded me of some people's previous hypothesis. What Trump is doing is trying to pressure the Fed to lower interest rates because the economy cannot function well and grow if interest rates are high. Trump is putting pressure on the economy and making people think the economy is about to fall into recession, which is exactly what the Fed fears most. According to Trump's strategy, the Fed will have to cut interest rates because they don't want the economy to fall into recession.

In my opinion, this is a confrontation between Trump and the Fed.

Of course, Trump's current policy is not liked by many people, although initially it was only to improve the US economy and encourage US consumers to buy more domestic products, but the tariffs imposed on foreign goods need to be reviewed, because it is very burdensome, of course the global impact will be felt, especially suppliers of goods to the US, with this policy facing higher prices.

Those countries already imposed very high tariff even before US did it. Look a few asian countries that were imposing 50% - 90% tariff to the US goods.

Does it sound make sense if they're imposing additional tariff to fight Trump's reciprocal tariff, which is still 50% lower than them?
