When I recently joined the forum, I sometimes make researches to know more about Bitcoin and out of excitement of learning new things I never knew about Bitcoin, I would want to create a topic with the hope that I'm imparting knowledge to forum members but at the end, I get backlash from majority of people here telling me that such topics have already been discussed and that there was nothing new about it. So you see, the thing is that when you create a topic even if it has already been discussed on the forum before, you need to understand that, it is not bad to bring it up again. And if you must, there must be something new about it. A fresh perspective you wish to share with the forum on the subject. There must be new and updated information that you think is different from the previous one that the forum can benefit from. And lastly, though not mandatory, if it must be created as a new topic, make sure that the same old topic, has several pages( 8 ) already that you don't want it to be like you are bumping an old post.

I don't want you to make the kind of mistakes I made and that's why I'm putting this up here, I hope at the end someone learns from it.
You've shared your own personal experience with the newbies via this thread and that's going to be very helpful for those newbies who're serious about getting ranked on this forum. that's why the admin provides a "search" button so that you can find topics that may have been discussed but are buried because new topics keep appearing, and don't be discouraged because the member who reminded you meant well so that your account's reputation is maintained well because accounts that often create new but repeated topics are usually marked as spam accounts. My advice if someone want to create a new topic, look for the latest news (can be from social media or the latest news sites that discuss bitcoin or cryptocurrencies) that can increase the interest of other members to discuss, don't just create trivial topics that have been discussed.

Write what you can, it is true that someone might have created similar topic but do not forget that newbies are also joining this forum everyday, don't expect them to go around looking for old topics.
I was a newbie at a time and I can remember very well that I don't visit old topics, the first page of every thread is where I do my readings, so just be yourself and write what you can, avoid spamming that's all I can say.
Also, don't care about what people say on here, some will sound very mean and some will sound supportive, we can't all be nice at the same time, so avoid taking such to heart, just don't care.

Yeah, that’s right. I’ve seen multiple cases of repeated ideas in different threads, even amongst high rankers, what’s more important is that your presentation of idea is unique and educative and that don’t plagiarize. I’m not saying people should normalize rephrase other’s posts and contents, no. But if turns out that you got the idea and then after publishing, you find out someone had already made something similar, then there’s no point to taking it down because someone else had already made or done something similar.

While it is important newbies go through the board they are posting to see what have been posted before creating topic, we should not also forget that some of them are entirely new to the forum and may not know how to search and properly use the forum. It is from posting and being corrected some of them learn so we should always try to guide them when we find such opportunity. Also, don't care about what people say on here, some will sound very mean and some will sound supportive, we can't all be nice at the same time, so avoid taking such to heart, just don't care.
This is very important aspect of enjoying the forum because the moment you pay attention to what everyone says, you might be discouraged to create topic of join discussion here because there are people that will always have contrary opinion to you. I have made it a norm to pay attention to learning and sharing my opinion while the burden of understanding rest with others and I can't help with whatever interpretations they might have because thinking differs.

Learning never ends, we keep learning everyday and that's just what this forum is anchored on. There's no need of having a feeling of low esteem when talked down on for anything rather it should be a means to grow thick skin and develop your mind with it. Sometimes the topic newbies recreates could be topics that have been recently discussed on or still in discussions and that's why forum members tend to point it to newbies about their ignorance.
However, there are topics that are being discussed that have been created a very long time ago and as knowledge evolve such topics are being recreated to add to our knowledge with the new developments. But it's always important to bring to the forum fresh new informative and quality topics for discussion.
As a newbie who recently joined the forum and is told about the rules and the dangers of going against the rules, it's expected that you should be walking on egg shells and that's why when a newbie out of excitement of learning new things about Bitcoin, comes here and create a post but ends up getting heavily criticized will most likely suffer low self esteem. While we advise newbies to be courageous in learning more about Bitcoin and not be afraid of discussing their learnings, it's also important to tell existing senior members of the forum to be considerate in their bashings of newbies.

I'm not expecting a newbie to be making too many researches before engaging on the forum but considering what I passed through as a newbie, that's why I dropped this topic to help other newbies from suffering same fate. It's important that we all criticize newbies with love and not criticize to them harshly. That's what I experienced and that birthed the idea for this topic I created

If a newbie asks a question that is meaningful I know that experienced members will not hesitate to guide him, unless if the question is irrelevant that is when the newbie will mostly get backlash. A newbie can ask a question that is related to what has been discussed in the past and still get answers from experienced members, it dropends on how the question is presented, whether it's worth discussing again. Instead of backlash a member can share a link to a post where the newbie can get more clarity. But a learner that is not ready to receive critism is not ready to learn and increase their knowledge. Nobody is obligated to teach a newbie or post in their topic on this forum so newbies should not be discouraged when they are criticized. It is better for newbies to read and learn from other people's posts and only start a topic when they actually have something important to contribute or ask.

That beginners who create new posts about something they want to write about Bitcoin are allowed and not prohibited. To avoid topics with the same content, it is better to use the search button. If more than 85% of the forum members already know the new thing they learned about Bitcoin, it means less than 15% and that is a small number so there is no need for beginners to create topics even though what you mean is there is an exception. The impression is what you are saying is that beginners do not need to create topics anymore. It is okay for beginners to create posts even though many forum members already know because it can be a reminder that there has been a similar topic. The thing that beginners need to do before creating a topic is to use the search button. I was once a beginner, you too.

There’s really no problem when someone brings out an old topic, especially if that kind of topic contains a lot of golden ideas that would benefit and remind everyone. The thing is, you need to update and reflect it based on your personal experiences so that others can relate. If you think that topic creates an impact on you, then most likely the same goes for majority of the forum members here.

While research is important, it is also paramount to drop links and address to any post that must have been created from research. That very day, I got a very encouraging reply for legendary member that helped me to develop interest in learning more about Bitcoin as well as engage in insightful conversations with more meaningful and impactful submissions (I'm still developing my knowledge though). As a newbies, you are not suppose to feel bad or discouraged when you are criticized on the forum here, you are suppose to take that as part of learning process. This is a forum, and everyone is free to express themselves, what some members will say might not really be encouraging, but that shouldn’t really discourage anyone from interacting on the forum here. Most newbies don’t always take their time to go through the forum, they keep on asking questions that have been asked so many times on the forum here, their is a search engine function, if their is anything you want to post, first check if it has been created here before, you are not suppose to be in rush to create a thread on the forum here. Most newbies that come to the forum just want to rank up easy, and join campaigns, they are not really ready to learn, or impact their knowledge on others in the forum here. Most of them don’t even know that without creating threads they can still rank up, if you make quality comments, then your comments are still going to be merited, and you will be able to rank up your account.

Newbies often make these mistakes because of their inability to patiently understand the forum guidelines and rules of engagement, or in another opinion, I can say because of the overexcitment that comes with, hey! 'I'm not in the forum' and they want to immediately create attention in the forum. We all were once newbies in the forum but overtime we've grown to learn and understand the basic rules of the forum and till date someone like me is still learning about things that concerns the forms of engagements in the forum. Some failed to understand that learning forum rules is not a one day job and requires continuous learning and asking to be able to understand the rudiments of the forum activities.

Nobody wants to be criticized, even if what they are doing is wrong. But the truth is that criticism is almost part of learning. If someone is always doing the wrong thing and has nobody to criticize him or her, they may not take the correction at the right time. Sometimes, criticism by other people makes someone become more serious in what they are doing, and they may not want to keep repeating the same mistakes all the time to avoid critize by others.in this forum, there are many members who didn’t like criticizing newbies before. But the way newbies kept repeating making one mistakes over time is what made many members change their attitude towards them. As a newbie, the first thing that needs to be in their heart is that they are in the forum to learn, and they are entitled to make mistakes and Criticizing them should be seen as a way of learning, because not all forum members will have the same character. Since our characters are not the same, some people will take things easily and others will take it hard so newbies should not expect everyone to be nice to them.another thing is that newbies are expected to calm down and learn the rules and regulations of the forum before taking any actions like posting. If newbies give themselves time to learn first, they will hardly make the kinds of mistakes that make other members criticize them.

It is hard for newbies to come into the forum and use the search engine to see him the topic that they wanted to post has already been posted by someone earlier. They're too eager to draw your attention to them thinking that's the best way out. However, as time passes on and you are always active in the forum, you will learn a lot and will not forget to use the search engine. If you're a member in this forum, you must have a thick skin so that you can tolerate forum members replies and grow fast.
well to this I agreed with you most times I do think I am the only one who is going through this I guess it a piece of cake that every newbies have to get use to, I guess it is a tradition to learn how to tolerate forum member here, just ask you have stated I guess if you want to learn faster and grow well one must have to learn and grow fast. Well making me self as an example when I first came into forum and which I didn't no how to use search engines to collect some useful information.

Whether you post a new topic or respond to an existing thread, it’s still best to conduct a good research most especially if you aren’t familiar with the topic. That will be a great help so you will be able to provide a high quality post which majority of the forum members will benefit most particularly those who are still newbies that are hunger for new information that will help them in the future.

Normally, to some extent, some replies need to be tolerated because you don’t have to reply. Everybody has the way they correct people or teach people something, whether harshly or with play. Some people can be teaching you something and still be cracking jokes with you while you are learning and understanding. I think such a thing is this forum too. Some forum members will correct a newbie as if they are fighting them, but nothing like that is just the way they use to talk. Or maybe they are doing it to make a newbie feel like what he did is very wrong and he or she needs to take correction, so they will like to make it look like they are being rude to you.
Sure. This is what some newbies don’t understand, though; I feel like they don’t really understand what the forum members need from them. Some newbies who are new to the crypto space need to hold on and not be creating new threads because they have limited knowledge on what the forum is all about. Some threads they are trying to bring up have already been posted here for a long time. What they need is to use the search bar and learn what they want to learn instead of asking questions.

well to this I agreed with you most times I do think I am the only one who is going through this I guess it a piece of cake that every newbies have to get use to, I guess it is a tradition to learn how to tolerate forum member here, just ask you have stated I guess if you want to learn faster and grow well one must have to learn and grow fast. Well making me self as an example when I first came into forum and which I didn't no how to use search engines to collect some useful information.
I now get it well to me all I would say is that when corrections is been made by any members please let it been done with love and I no that most members here gave different systems of communication style just like you said most members use humor or sarcasm to pass thier message which sometimes can be misinterpreted by most newbies.

Honestly, I can relate to what the author is saying. When I first joined the forum, those kinds of criticisms were killing confidence. I know some people use humor, some people use sarcasm, but sometimes you can see it plainly when it's rude or harsh. Let's not hide the fact that some people can be really rude and harsh, and it gets to people. It did get to me, so I totally relate to what he's saying. I guess sometimes it's needed to help form a newbie but we can be nicer. Once newbies put in the time, they begin to understand the forum. And I love the tip author shared: if you want to post a topic, just search for that same topic, something that has similar keywords might come out, then you read it to be sure that the idea is not the same or similar,l, it will help.
