Hmmm a lot going on over the last few days, traditional markets are really
suffering but the Bitcoin market is showing kind of unphased sentiment, we
continue to go sideways.

I think the traditional markets could be heading for a Bear market, there are indicators
that the US could be headed for a recession.

I would like to think anyone looking for an escape route and a safe house for
their wealth will consider Bitcoin.

We've seen the price recently moving from $85k to $82k, so that is a dip already. And then what follows could be another sideway patterns. And it's obvious that we are affected again by the tariff announcement of Trump affecting everyone including stock market.

So maybe form being positive at the start of the month, to somewhat pessimist right now after the so called Liberation day and this might reflect again for the whole month of April and so it could be somewhat of a bearish sentiments again as the US could be heading into recession.

I never worried about any of this - I think it's just an integral part of bitcoin's journey to its all-time high. More bulls are still expected this year regardless of Trump's policies - this is when we need to hoard as much bitcoin as possible and hold on until the all-time high is hit. I'm still very optimistic that bitcoin will be very bullish - it's just a matter of time.

April should be positive for bitcoin - but many people are pessimistic because of the dip. I just think that this small dip is a good thing if it is an accumulation opportunity - but somehow many people see it as negative and pessimistic about the long term.

What makes you think April will be a positive month for bitcoin? I think bitcoin's performance will depend entirely on tariffs, the economic situation, it won't be able to increase in price on its own if things get worse.

People are negative in the short term, no one is negative in the long term. Because not just bitcoin, any financial market including stocks, everything will recover and grow again when everything is resolved. Any investor with enough knowledge about financial markets knows this well but many people want to make quick money in a short period of time and that is why they are worried.

But the market sentiment could be another story.  So curious what you guys think.  Has the recent events involving Trump kick started the bear market or is it still a bull market?

It's just a bit ironic that Trump is the one that caused Bitcoin to pump all the way to $109,000 (at least for me), but he's also the main reason why the market is dumping these past few months (tariffs and other more).

I still believe that we are in a bull market despite the previous price movements of Bitcoin during the months of February and March. What I think is that it's replicating what happened during the 2021 bull run where the market dumped for months then after that, it went up significantly, surpassed its previous ATH then entered a bear market. I believe we are at that part where the market is consolidating, but in the upcoming months, we will go up again and surpass the $109,000 ATH. Of course, I might be wrong and what we are seeing right now might be the start of the bear market already.

My prediction for this month? It will end up as a red candle again or if not, it will end the month with a DOJI candle, and if that happens, that's a good sign still because neither bulls nor bears are controlling.

So yeah...  I was really expecting March to be green.  It turned out to be one of those ones that started well but ended up being meh.  But the monthly chart below, even though it's red, still looks like it was the up trend since 2023 intact...

It is normal for the Bitcoin market to go up and down, because the Bitcoin market still has some signs of a bull market (although the red sign is visible, but I hope it will be green) and we can expect the Bitcoin market to touch 100k again. But some of Donald Trump's moral reasons have stopped the Bitcoin market, because all the words that Donald Trump threw at the people before winning the election are not in line with what he said at the moment.
Because I think he is currently starting to move with his own coin, Donald Trump is giving the most importance to his own choice at the moment. That is why I think the Bitcoin market is currently stalled, and this stalled market will definitely change and the Bitcoin price will start to improve further this April.

By considering the consequences of Trump's new policies, I expect about continuation of bear market even in this April month. But, bitcoin must follow gold on economic situation like this but unfortunately bitcoin is following stocks and bond or any government regulated market which is the reason why we are still having dominance of bears or bulls are unable to take the control. Even in the long term, bitcoin market sill remains stronger, we cannot be sure about from where we are going to have bulls get back to action.

If people move their investments from stock to bitcoin due to Trump's policies, we may have positive April. But, it seems investors are not still considering bitcoin as equal as gold. When bitcoin will be able to convince investors similar to gold, we may benefit out of Trump and his tariff stuns.

Trump's policies are partially to blame but are not the only reason.
The positive news of the approval of spot ETFs caused the bull run to start prematurely. If, instead of looking at the halving date, we measure the time from when the price started going up to the ATH, we'll see that this bull run was already longer than the previous one.
It can still be saved by whales/institutional investors, but I think retail already lost interest and I wouldn't be hoping for them to pump up the price, especially considering that the credit card debt was at an all-time high, meaning the average Joe might simply not have any cash to spare.

There were some rumours of Trump administration planning to distribute some free money to the public ($5,000 each, was it?) to share the saving made by the D.O.G.E. I don't know what happened to that idea, but that would have a potential to start another Bitcoin rally, similar to what Covid cheques did in 2021.

Positive doesn't always have to be a big increase in price - even when bitcoin was able to hold its support at $80K, it should be considered positive in a seemingly weak market. I don't necessarily worry about Trump's policies - I'm an investor, not a trader and I don't focus on the short term. If someone is worried about prices - then they are probably hoping for short term gains rather than long term gains.

I know what you mean - but what should you worry about? If the price goes down - just accumulate as much as you can, but if you don't have the extra capital then try holding. The market will recover over time and you shouldn't lose anything if you don't sell at a loss. Let's be optimistic about the recovery - that if takes time and patience.

In my personal opinion, there's some probability that you may never buy Bitcoin at those price levels again, where this week's DIP might cause it to go.

The trend of the market is determined by the state of the economy, so I don't think it is correct to rely on history to predict the future when economic developments and events in 2021 and 2025 are very different. But I agree that it would be incorrect to say that we will enter a bear season just because Bitcoin has had 3 consecutive months of declines.

Honestly, I am like you, still hoping the bull season is not over and we will hit new ATH this year but the future is uncertain. We should have a backup plan instead of being too stubborn because as we all know, anything can happen.

The economic policies of Trump have some negative impacts. But it doesn't mean this will be the sole reason for the current dump we're experiencing. In this volatile market, we expect the price to go on a roller coaster ride.

We can't say it was a sort of manipulation, but we can't deny that people are too reactive to every Trump word. The price of bitcoin is still high at $78k (at this post), but I still don't think we are going into the bear season.

We have no clue this time as to what will happen next, but I guess we have to prepare.

I got a glimmer of light maybe flickering in the wind like a candle but its there for now.  The weekly bar is about to form and the smallest detail it is a higher low, not by much and Im not certain it matters totally but price not pushing lower would be some positive possibly.   The main thing is to watch on Monday because main markets might make that new low so its a detail that might only exist for hours not anything to build on.

I'm not blaming anyone for the dip again, it's not just crypto, but stocks market has it's worst and being compared to the crash in the 80's. Nevertheless there are still a lot of hope in the market. Maybe not for this month, but all throughout this year as we could still be bouncing back at 6 digits.

So this is a great time to restock with your Bitcoin supply and look at the long term.

I think we will see more declines when the tariffs go into effect on the 9th and things could get worse if the tariff war escalates as countries retaliate against each other.

The market has been correcting for more than 2 months and we can buy anytime, no need to wait. But the problem is that most retail investors don't have much money and everyone believes in cycles. That means more people are waiting to take profits instead of continuing to buy, which is why we see more complaints than excitement when prices drop.

Tariffs that cause confusion in the world market, and so with that, the US is entering into recession that really added to  the price of Bitcoin and others to go down very hard. It's not just correction for some, this is a full blown bear market for them.

In any case, if this is, then we can't do anything about it. But if we are still in the bull, then why not take this opportunity? If we believed that in the last quarter of the year we will have a parabolic rise then this a great time to continue to buy and stack our wallets.

And it's obvious that we might have reacted again to the negative news coming from the US. Not sure if this is still base on the tariffs, as this news has been out in the last 2-3 days ago. I avoid to enter the market, though i have cash. I think the current price of bitcoin is still too high to enter. Bitcoin chart shows inverted cup and handle, which may be possible going down. All of bad sentiment happened to the Bitcoin came from the trade war. and almost all of volatile assets are going down.

There's no delay in the market reaction, but trade warr gave continuous impact to the market. I expect it will still happen in coming days following some bad news that may still come.
