I staked on this PSG match live when the scores was 1:0. The bet was for the home team to win the rest of the match regardless of the current score. At 28 mins, USL scored again and the bet was winning, there was no other goal until 45 mins, just before halftime, PSG scored a goal and invalidated my best. It was kinda painful because I thought I already win the best. The bookmarkers were evil too and didn't want to bring out the cashout option .

Reflecting on the matter and the fact being that this has happened to me a number of times, I thought of putting up a discussion on it.

Near misses can really make you overthink, I almost won a huge amount of money last night but a single game ruined my bet slip...this always gets frustrating for me and most times it makes me want to chase the win I didn't get by staking wrecklessly...my next step after experiencing such is to give it a long break, I have my reasons for doing..As someone dealing with an addiction you must be able to spot your triggers and this here is one of the things that triggers the urge to gamble more...I simply block my account temporarily and allow my head to cool off before gambling again.

The cashout can be disabled by the bookmaker at anytime. Even if you are winning, they can disable it when getting close to the end of a match. But there are some bookmarkers that will not disable it at the time. When I bet on Stake last week, I was winning but I check the cashout and it was disabled like 2 minutes to the end of the match.

I do not check the matches that I bet on. I leave it alone until the match ends. I do not go for cashout either.

Do not try to bet more. If you lose, just call it a day and do not bet that day again. It is hard for me to check for matches to bet on which can not even make me bet that day again.

I am not upset about it. Most time I do not check the minutes for each score but I just check the total score at the end of the match.

There would be that cursing or even banging up my own table on which this is that a very common scenario on which most betters do experience.
Time primary thing that comes up into your mind is that whenever you do made out some near miss then you do believe that the next one will be already a win.

I just need 1 more point from the Cleveland Cavaliers, and I will win that x7.90. Imagine that. A whole parlay went wrong with just a point difference, and I could've been less greedy and taken the -4.5 instead, but I wanted to increase the multiplier so bad that I took that bet instead.
These kinds of things we cannot control, so as sports bettors, we must always have the attitude of forgetting the mistakes that we have made and moving on as quickly as we can. This also just proves that we have no control over what happens in professional sports.

Near misses are part of the gambling experience, so I take it as my luck. Stopping or continuing gambling will depend on my gambling budget. If I still have more money,  the game will continue but I will stop playing if I have finished my budget. Having a near miss experience is painful because you are already feeling joyful because you are coming close to winning. But if you are gambling with what you can afford to lose, the pain will not be too much.

I also have that mixed feeling whenever I deal with near misses, it's exciting and also depressing at the same time but at the end of the day it's gambling. Some people people believe that having a near miss means that you have been jinxed or the sport bookies are after your bets in particular, when people think like this it always makes me laugh. The game can have any outcome and you should always be ready for it. If you are not careful you might start chasing your losses, this is what most gamblers deal with Because the lack self control.

I will not bet more to try my luck. I have a habit of leaving bets when I finish making them. I don't even watch the match except for a few matches for my favorite team. I will come back to see the final result, if I lose then just consider it unlucky, if I win it's a pleasure.
I also often feel almost winning in parlay bets, only thwarted by one match that is beyond prediction. But there is no problem with the defeat. Just an experience that I have to choose several matches more selectively to avoid defeat in similar bets in the future.

When ever this kind of lose happen to me, I usually feel so sad, especially if I even staked in the game when the match is already 45-50 minutes gone it makes me feel that the game would not go against me again again because time is already far spent but that doesn't stop what will happen from happening, if the game I bet on are bound to lose, it will happen irrespective of the time I bet on the match. If I lose the bet and I have money to still bet on other live game, I will continue but if I don't, I will just leave with my disappointment.

I don't feel discouraged, whenever I have a near miss in gambling I just reduce my stake on the next bet and change my strategy but there's nothing wrong In giving it a break if that's what works for you. People who let this get to them are not ready to gamble. This is what gambling is all about, when you think you are close you can end up losing. You wouldn't have been thinking all about this if the game has played for you with the x7.90, don't sweat it as I fancy no need for a regret on this, mostly for a game outcome that's out of our foresight. It's just about moving onto the next predictions and making sure to keep it cool and what you know how to do best with your analysis on the different teams before making your picks.

We have this winning mindset and not affected by what we encounter in the system. We face our fears with every positivity. They increase you in experience which you gain as the only positive from such lost tickets, now I don't understand well how the odd is 24 for PSG unless this is another PSG from what I know though if it is the same team leading the Ligue 1 you get a valuable life lesson which is never to bet on a favorite when playing against lower division teams, as result like this can happen and you get an experience which tells you to never bet anymore on such games, especially betting on the way team, you are more comfortable betting always for the home team which in theory has a 5% referee advantage. This is the only thing you can get as a positive from such happening, everything else is completely negative unfortunately.
