Some parents do open a bank account from their toddler to save some money which they can use In supporting when the child grows,  as bitcoiner it is even more appropriate to do something like this , since it will be something that will be used for the child in the future and bitcoin is more profitable when it is hodl for longterm. For me I think doing such savings in the bank for the future is not the best because of money lose value due to inflation but it make sense when it is bitcoin,  when the child is grown-up it can be handed over to the child.

I somehow disagree with what you said about spreading your knowledge and information around so that others can benefit from it, too. I know that it's a good thing to teach others what you know but when it comes to financial stuff, it's much better if we keep those things to yourselves instead of sharing it with others and letting others know how we are making money or how we made investments and how we are making profits from those investments, and I say this because we don't know who is actually loyal and who is not, so it's better to be cautious.

Mining bitcoin in his name will be nice, but the thing is, how much is the OP willing to spend on mining tools which could be able to give him something worth passing over to his or her child? Without having enough capital to pilot mining, the outcome is almost minimum to nothing.

I will prefer where the OP can make some scheduled purchases of bitcoin instead for the newborn over time; before the child gets off age, there should be enough already accumulated to be transferred to the OP's child.

You are right - I don't take it as a joke at all. Knowledge is something that will save our children's future in the future - inheritance will only destroy them without knowledge. When I talked about bitcoin to my kids, I'd see no interest from them. Then I ask myself how I will pass my holdings if they have this kind of view.
