Creating an awareness is important first otherwise you can't really say that the person is following their foot step in trading, you must let the person know, trading isn't some kind of joke, you must always be calculative at all times..if you are using their strategies then they should be aware constantly about the moves you make in the market..if someone who you call your mentor isn't aware then the person isn't your role model in trading, this is how it works.
In trading you should have a personal relationship with your mentor, somebody that is experienced and can guide you to make good trading decisions. A mentor should be someone that you can chat with personally and he can understand where you need directions and guide you through to make the right decisions. Trading is not what somebody should rush into after listening to a couple of tutorials on YouTube, they might not tell you everything that you need to know and do at every point of your trading. Learning from your own experiences and losing money along the line is a long process, but if you have a mentor that has gone through those stages it will be a shortcut to your trading success.

What could be the best possible way to have a trading mentor? could it be to select a mentor and then let them know that you have chosen them as your mentor or follow them anonymously without their knowledge that their mentoring someone, and you are following in their steps?

Whats your thought?

There are various kinds of mentors, YouTube mentor, TikTok, Facebook, and telegram mentor depending on which platform that the person is using to mentor you, and the last is a personal mentor who can also be teaching you one on one. someone can be your mentor without him or her knowing, those are unofficial mentors whereas official mentors the one you approached and both of you discuss and and agree on terms of mentorship.
Right now, many mentors prefer sharing their cryptocurrency knowledge by using TikTok platform make it easily how to get member interested for learning about cryptocurrency. I don't think have any special yet depend kinds of platform using by mentor because all social media platform most useful for sharing about cryptocurrency depend which one mentor become guider for us understood or not about cryptocurrency and they have most responsibility.
I have bad experienced with my mentor guide teaching about cryptocurrency and recommended us to buy any specific coins, but my mentor made fatal mistake due his recommended coins out expectation after dropping most lower price. I think must be selective when finding right mentors in cryptocurrency with their technical and approach easily for understandings.

Now many people learn trading with mentors online and they are quite confident that the mentor can guide them to achieve success in trading.
For me it is difficult because mentors who open online classes teach many people will not be able to individually supervise the process we are involved in.
Mentors are indeed important as a step to control our involvement in trading, but if it is online I don't think it will help much.

Learning trading is not easy because it is impossible for people to get experience just by watching channels on YouTube.
If there is no ability to control emotions and do not have good knowledge, trading will not be able to be run properly.
It is better to learn with a relatively small capital so that slowly you can be more experienced and evaluate every time we get a loss.

Whats your thought?

Replace mentor with admire in your post please  Sad

If you follow them anonymously without their knowledge, how do you expect to ask when you need more enlightenment about some of their actions that you don't understand? Are you scared of being asked to pay mentorship fee?  Grin

It's better to let them know about it so you can have full freedom and confidence discussing with them. If they are aware, they might as well share some secret tips with you and how or when to apply it with every explanation and guide. The best way to learn is to know the plan and the execution process not just the final part. Being anonymous follower will only allow you to know the result but not the strategy behind that.

Be your own trading mentor that’s the best way. Why do you even need a mentor? If you can’t make your own trades, if you don’t have the skills, why don’t you just buy a market ETF or a mutual fund?

I don't know the angle you're viewing this from but is it possible for someone to just wake up and become expert in whatever they do without a mentor? I know we are in advanced technology era and there are various tools to help one out even without a physical mentor but I don't think that is the best way to learn. No matter what, there must be a noticeable difference between someone that learn physically and one that learn digitally and the experience will never be the same.

Youtube is all you do need and some google searches on which its something that you do consider out when you are trying to look or search for informations. We do know that on the moment or time that you do tend to learn something then it will be that up to you whether you do want someone who would be teaching you out or you do want to learn on your own. Its not just that because you dont have money, it is just that you've seen that you can do it on yourself without needing those mentor or would be needing to pay up something just because you have wanted to learn up trading. Somehow it will be that still depending on you because if you do find yourself that learning up fast when someone do make out some guide then its up to you on how you do take it but for me then i will be that liking to go on self learn because i do have my own time on when and on where i do tend to read up if ever there are some write ups and do watch videos or what.

Should your mentor be aware? If you are paid then you do definitely ask on what are the things that you are that you are confused or doesnt get on whats being taught. If its free mentoring then you also ask out too on which it isnt bad to take up such questions as long it do clears up on what are those things that you've been that not be able to understand. So it will be that up to you on how you do act things in according on what you do seem its right. Its just that too impossible that you cant be able to determine on whats better for you and whats not.

The first job of a trader is to put his own skills to use. Because your mentor may give you wisdom or advice. But you also need to continue your work through your own skills. Your mentor may be connected to your business. But your trading mentor's work must continue through your own skills.

So I think when it comes to trading mentors, you should follow your own work. Then you will be able to reach your goals accordingly.
Indeed, having a mentor makes us gain knowledge or insight that can speed up our learning process because they have quite a long flight hours in understanding the market, as we know that the market is sometimes difficult to predict where it is going, even though the mentor has experience, what they teach is not always accurate and in the end the success we achieve we have to develop or hone our overall abilities independently
A mentor is different from a trading signal provider because a mentor is like a teacher who will teach and guide you through the processes that you need to go through during your trading journey. They will tell you how you can read candles and charts, what strategies are useful and effective in certain market conditions, how you can use risk-management techniques to reduce risks, how you should manage your bankroll and divide it into different positions or assets, etc.

Once you learn all these things, then it's your own responsibility to judge the market and make your trades accordingly. I don't think a mentor would take the blame for your trades because their job is only to guide you about it and not to tell you when you should open and close a trade and what coins or tokens you should trade, etc. It's your money, and it's your responsibility to do that.

Even though a mentor will usually be experienced in trading, we should still not expect them to provide us signals.

I learn about trading by just watching videos from different influencers. I realize that I can gain more knowledge from having multiple sources of information rather than from mentoring one. Might informing them that we are following them could boost their reputation and confidence, but I'd never do this.

With so many traders around, surely they are following anonymously. We can do whatever we want because all the information is available online. Exploring the internet helps us learn more, but sometimes, this also gives us confusion. That is why I've found it better, especially for new traders, to just follow one person until they have gained enough knowledge before exploring other strategies.

People have different ways of learning something and not everyone can see guidance easily without guidance.
Mentors are quite helpful in improving one's skills in trading, but it takes one's own ability to analyze the learning that we get.
If your ability to get involved in trading without needing a mentor, then this is much better because you don't need to pay someone to learn, but not everyone can learn independently without guidance.

Now there are many learning methods that can be learned, but it comes back to each individual.
Nothing is impossible, it's just that what I mean is having a mentor is much better because we can learn to understand trading faster.

They work differently in the sense that the benefits you'll get from either of them influences your chances of focusing on one.Apparently, seeking to chose someone as your mentor anonymously, without their knowledge will require that you'll be learning without their thorough guidance and proper counseling support that you'll be needing to scale through as a trader and that's based on self discovery and development you can achieve that.

It will be difficult for someone who's not smart to learn how to trade from an online trading mentor because they need a lot of break down on their learning process. However, online mentors and offline mentors are not the same because a beginner trader have access to meet the offline mentors for future explanations. Many expert traders don't teach newbie traders how to trade for free, and they do not teach them everything. But one who wants to learn quickly will make their own research.

No doubt during trading learning need too much discussion with usually its better works in groups where many different minds give their ideas and also sure their expertise with all online classes or mentors never give real time things like these.
Due to recent domestic issues now online classes and things are getting good intention but results are not like mostly expected so still having real time class with going to talk with mentors and relates persons always give better strategy and way or learning.
Many usually complaints about time and want to avoid real time mentors which surely never help them but still few try to go ahead which never works or give them things which never works for them as they can do with face to face which are superior system in all conditions.

What could be the best possible way to have a trading mentor? could it be to select a mentor and then let them know that you have chosen them as your mentor or follow them anonymously without their knowledge that their mentoring someone, and you are following in their steps?

Whats your thought?
It’s your choice, you can decide to follow your mentor anonymously, and you can make it clear to them that you are following them, if they know that you are following them, then they will be able to share some things with you, and they will be able to guide you very well, but if you are doing it hidden, then even if there is anything they are suppose to share with you, they won’t do it, because they won’t even know you are following them, but to me it’s better you let them know about it. But I still have some people I follow and they don’t know about it, I just read about things they post on social media, and I do make use of the post which I know is useful for me, but I don’t have to start chatting them, and telling them they are my mentor.

Only few that will be able to learn on line there is lot that the person have to learn over and over again because you will need to study things well before you can understand it, it can can actually take months before you can. There things that you will have to get a better explanation for something because it is actually very technical to learn some things alone.

There people that they will teach you for free but there people that won't value so this is why they make some people pay for it, when they want to give up they will look at the money and the stress they have gone through just for them to learn. Even if you have to get mentors it will help a lot because I believe that when people are thought it is easier for them to understand than weh they rely in information that you read online. And for you to learn you will have to open your mind so there is a lot that will take longer period to learn. You just have to wait till you can find your way around.

As support or additional knowledge, mentors have a role for someone who wants to learn to trade, but they need the ability to independently determine.
Mentors can play a role in providing knowledge on how to apply strategies and usually it will be much more optimal when they can meet in person for the learning process.
Expert traders do not open free classes because they have to be paid, but many people are trapped as if they cannot learn to trade without a mentor.

Individual abilities can be developed when someone wants to learn and mentors also do not determine the level of success of a person's trading if they do not have the ability to make decisions individually.

That depends on the mentor because not many will teach you everything they know about trading. It will be good if we can find a good mentor who will share many things about trading and really teach us. But they will ask you about the fee before teaching you so that is why we need to learn trading by ourselves. We don't have to worry because we can find so many good lessons on Internet. We can learn many things we want and improve our skills. So when you meet a mentor who ask for the fee, you can leave him and search for other mentors or other ways.

You have to let the mentor know about it and you have to seek for his guidance, that is what mentors are for. Mentor will have to teach you about trading, risk management, trading strategies and everything about trading in a way you will make money from trading until you are able to make money on your own.
You are actually right, and this is the exact duty of a mentor, but the major problem this days is that most times you can't even get access to your mentor again, especially if the person is very successful in the craft, and most times for him to even know that you sees him as your mentor is a problem, because for you to get close to him or talk to him in person is a major problem, due to the fact that the individual in question mostly surround him or herself with securities or is too far from your geopolitical location, so this are one of the barriers  you normally get these days if you really wish to talk to your mentor on were you are still failing and how you can improve.

Quote
But one bad thing about mentors these days is that some are doing it to make money from people but people will not really benefit from them in a way they will trade and be losing. Also some people can say they are mentors but using it to scam.
I don't necessarily think that it's about making money here, where the real problem is, is in communication and how easy it is to get access to your mentor, because I believe that if you can get access to someone easily, it would be very easy for that person to mentor his students very well, and that person will improve overtime, but not having easy access to him will greatly limit him or her in his ability to improve if he greatly depends on his or her mentor for guidance.

What could be the best possible way to have a trading mentor?
We don't need trading mentors.
We tell ourselves that we need one just so that we can be lazy and not do the work. YouTube can provide all the knowledge that any mentor will share with you. There are traders who are sharing their real-life unscripted trading journey which includes their losses and successes.

You can find traders in a forum where they also do the same thing. Even the people we want to mentor us watch YouTube to get that knowledge to share, they watch YouTube to working on their set up. And if eventually get a trading mentor and they ask for money, you are better off paying for an online course than that.

This is exactly my thought. The mentorship will really flow well if the mentee can ask questions and engage with his mentor properly. Although people learn differently, trading is very risky, and those who wish to take up careers in trading should put in all efforts to learn from the best. I don't know why anyone would want to remain anonymous while learning from someone whose teachings they admire so much. Maybe they are only trying to avoid paying some mentorship fees.

The best way is to follow many mentors and watch them closely through their social media posts. You can pick based on the things you see.

A mentor is a person whom you can ask questions of and who can guide you. It is someone whom you could trust, and of course, you should let him/her know. As we mentor a person, it is to believe that we follow their words. Because it was useless, if not.

Seeking advice from these people is expensive, that is why some just prefer to watch free tutorial videos. In fact, there are a lot of trading sources online. It might not all be able to be learned, but at least we are already guided.
