I think a lot of people who were originally in favor of increasing tariffs to encourage the reshoring of American manufacturing jobs are now questioning Donald Trump's tariffs because they are so extreme and punitive, especially toward allies. We are no longer in the 1950s and 1960s with large numbers of young workers ready to shift to manufacturing jobs, and assuming the U.S. did manufacture more of its products, it is likely to cause a massive spike in the cost of those products - particularly electronics and computers. This will slow the growth of technology, having ripple effects into bitcoin, since it trades like a technology stock and depends on technology for its infrastructure.

While an increase in tariffs could be justified, Trump is too extreme with the current rates.

Why should a country be so strong in a way their president increased tariffs and the world or other countries are panicking about it? A single country should not have such a great power that United States has.

Countries all over the world should rethink and know that United States may even be a betrayal in the future if they continue to let things be in this way.

This tariffs should help other countries to know that they should not just rely on countries like United States exports only.

About it affecting bitcoin, I see it more as helping people to only buy bitcoin now at low price. Bitcoin will later increase which we have always know.

Sooner or later, this spree will stop.

And the tarrifs will probably will become smaller, at least in the areas it will be needed.

Trump can't spike up the fear forever.

That's my stand too, the world has looked up too much on the US system in both economy productions and politics and it really sucks that these other countries couldn't have realized this earlier that the US aim as a point of global attractions has been fostered to be world champion whole conditions the growth of other countries so they don't get overtaken.
The Trumps tarrif goal is to expand infrastructures of other countries to be situated in the US for him to generate more money of taxes and other countries relying on exporting to the US will still not scape through uninfected.
The only way out of the handicap is a restructuring of the countries to focus on it own productions of what others too would be in need so there's the tendencies of other countries gaining their own grounds too with it local tarrif policies.
Enough for the US remoting the World.

Definitely the dump where hodlers are crumbling for the fall of market value doesn't go for nothing because it's as well a buying opportunities which after the dump sure would come the pump.
No stress, that's just the system of volatilities when it comes to bitcoin. So we can always keep the flaws off from the Trumps tarrif.
Historically bitcoin has experienced a tough significant market fall of 83% by 2017 so, this current market condition shouldn't seem strange.
So we just buy more now and hold against the sunset.

People who favoring tariffs are US citizen, specifically the workers, because they're the one who get benefit.

Although they can open more job vacancy due to rise in supply, but they have to think this would make the cost of their products increase. If The US didn't increase the minimum salary same or more than the rise of product price, it won't make the employees richer.

I don't think this will make slowing down in technology, technology is more about research rather than creating new product.

A sacrifice must be made for everything to work, and as usual, the bigger part of consumers will suffer the most, and the more time goes on, the more tariffs are going to crack the prices up.

For sure that one will happen since provably Trump just want to see how the world would react towards this huge tariff's they implement. What happened there is it seems they are just flexing their power towards that implementation.

But for sure later on everything will be solve and US will agree to lower down the tariff and get great trades with other countries. That's why its really better for people to stop think about more negative thing since I think Bitcoin is far affected from this crazy tariff implement by US. People are just over reacting on temporary matters that's the reason why we see a decline on the market these days. But for sure Bitcoin would recover soon especially if the this issue will fade out.

I see this as furthering the goal of other countries to move away from the U.S. dollar as a world reserve currency. I also believe this will breed further mistrust of the U.S. I do not think any gains in manufacturing will offset the effects of inflation domestically. Perhaps milder increases in tariffs would bring a net benefit to Americans.

I wouldn't be surprised at all at such an outcome.

It is not by chance that the US has been able to dominate the world for more than 100 years and their currency has become the world's reserve currency, everything has its reasons. What they can do is even beyond many people's imagination and they can make the world worse than it is now if they want to.

Many countries have realized that and they are trying to reduce their dependence on the United States, and that is why BRICS was born. But it will take time for the BRICS to create a multipolar world without the US.

China and Russia are countries that have long been reducing their dependence on the US market.

China has started diversifying its exports around the world since trade war 1.0 in 2018. That is why they will be willing to confront Trump instead of engaging in concessions and negotiations like other countries are doing. But to be fair, they are unlikely to beat the US in trade war 2.0.

But many people don't see it that way, they complain and blame instead of seeing it as an opportunity.

I do not even think we have seen the worst of it yet. It just got implemented and stocks are declining because they think those companies will suffer soon so many investors are now pulling out. But we will see worse effects in the economy soon.

Tariffs are bad for everyone. I don’t think Trump will take back whatever he did though. They seem pretty happy with their rates and think that it was even almost generous.

This is not about bitcoin alone, Trump tariff increment is a significant move that could have wide reaching economic implications. I don't know whether the increment is just for short term or a long term strategy but in whatever circumstances, it would bring about serious disruption in global markets.

Why should a country be so strong in a way their president increased tariffs and the world or other countries are panicking about it? A single country should not have such a great power that United States has..

The truth remains that America has the supreme power but Trump is trying to blow it up. If he continues this way, he will definitely blow all the trust America had with their allies. At this point, I'm simply observing the game to see how the whole drama will end but he should be aware that this is pure gambling.

I disagree with this and I actually think the opposite is true. These tariff and trade wars are causing people to spend less and save more. As you all know well, saving means investing. People are looking for safe places to invest. That means nothing other than gold and Bitcoin. The nonsense Trump is doing will have a positive effect on Bitcoin in the long run. These things will seriously affect the global economy but in the end Bitcoin investors will be the ultimate winners.

I think that it's true. Trade wars will impair the ability of Bitcoin and other cryptos to become the world's digital currency. If international transactions decrease in size and numbers, then there is less need for an international currency. Bitcoin was built in the old days of fierce globalization. Trade wars and protectionism will only have the effect to provide strength to traditional fiat currencies.

These tariff wars will not last for a long time. The US knows that it cannot sustain these extreme tariff. Donald Trump just wants a fair deal from US trading partners. The bitcoin market will stabilise immediately after trade negotiations start.

I disagree with this and I actually think the opposite is true. These tariff and trade wars are causing people to spend less and save more. As you all know well, saving means investing. Bitcoin has not established itself as an investor's safe haven. Investors might prefer to put money into government bonds, gold, Japanese Yen, etc than to invest in Bitcoin.  Bitcoin is still a new asset and its volatile nature scares investors away from it. Maybe in few years more people will understand that Bitcoin is a solid hedge against inflation.

Why should a country be so strong in a way their president increased tariffs and the world or other countries are panicking about it? A single country should not have such a great power that United States has.

oooh instead of becoming a superpower by embracing many parties, the US is doing the opposite and showing off to provoke resistance from other countries. Who knows what Trump is thinking, but if it is only aimed at restoring the US in the eyes of the world, it seems too late because other countries have responded in the same bad way. Since the tariff increase, the Bitcoin market response has been bearish, everything is interconnected institutional investors who have finances in Bitcoin are clearly the most wary.

It has nothing to do with the 1950s or the past, if this is the only way to solve the issues in your country as a leader won't you do it? Maybe you won't because it takes someone with the balls.

I am not against this method that Trump is using, but I hate the fact that he took advantage of the crypto market to fill up his own pocket, it should have all been about Bitcoin not other memes that he shill with his family.

I believe things will get better because this tarrif war will come to an end, but still it is possible that the bull market is already over, anyone who failed to secure profits when Bitcoin was over 100k is complete greed.

If Trump doesn't realize yet, this increased tariff is not just affecting Bitcoin alone it's even affecting the stock market too and if time is not taking this tariff issues would really cause a significant problem to the world Economic system. I used to think that it's only the politicians of my country that can be very greedy compare to the government of some other country but the persistent of Trump regarding this tariff issues simply means that he doesn't even care about what ever happen to the economy.

I disagree with this and I actually think the opposite is true. These tariff and trade wars are causing people to spend less and save more. As you all know well, saving means investing.
it can go both ways if the economy has gone really bad and the people are trying to get every penny they can get they would not be thinking about investing maybe right now people can still prepare for the worst by saving money but at some point if they struggle enough they might take money out of their investments so they can survive for the day or week or who knows how long
