I had to put up this thread for our own good as I believe there are likely some of us here who have little or no knowledge about this happening and they just keep wondering how their information gets to the public or how come they observe things changing after they have had conversation with someone confidentially to embark upon something or so. Have you ever wondered why sometimes it seems that your information or privacy is breached? Many people have no idea about this whole happenings and they would just assume or conclude that it just happened like that and maybe that is how it was destined to happen, but this is far from the truth. Your communication can be tapped, leading to your privacy being breached. People get attacked or robbed when they do not inform anybody around them about the money they took home or maybe documents that are highly confidential to events or assets being stolen.

I should let you know that most of these happenings occur as a result of your phone being tapped by unknown people without your knowledge. From there, they get your information through calls or text messages, which they act upon, and you have no idea how your information leaks. Some use it to blackmail each other, and lots more crimes are being committed as a result of this act.

It is nice to do a regular check on our phone to always make sure we verify how secured our communication is and also to disconnect any possible tap or breach on our line so that such information leakage does not continue. I will put up some code which can be used to check for ourselves if our numbers are wired or tapped and also to disconnect our numbers if tapped.

To add more on what you have given, i will also suggest that we ensure we properly dispose any unused material or device, even if they are still functional but we are to give another person for use, we must ensure that all logs into such device and our credentials all cleared before giving another person or discarding away such device, some have been tracked through all these means forgetting that they have valuable information on their old device.

Another thing wey we go need to know na about our old phones. Most of us are careless about our old phones. Sometimes we go get loved ones that are in need of phone and we go carry our old kept phone give out like that without properly disposing within dey the phone. We fit do those checks and flash the hardware so that information wey go hurt us later go wipe out, but we harmlessly give them out to people we don't know how them go use the information there. A good post deserves it, by the way. Now I'm more curious on how service providers does things relating to this to customers. I knew the fact that we are not secure with these providers in Nigeria and I think it's similar situation in every country, since they will be more likely selling customers data's, after all that's where the main moneys is and not the amount we pay for subscriptions. I might likely share my findings in our LB so we become pre informed about all these.

You are absolutely right. One of my acquaintances had his mobile tapped. As a result, he was a victim of scam calls for almost a few months. The scammers were able to hack his account but he was lucky that he had withdrawn all the money from his bank account the day before due to an event. Later, by contacting cyber security, his problem was solved.

But now, since we came online, as our security system has increased, the number and methods of scammers have also increased. So it is very important to be aware of our every step. Currently, most scams are done through click ads. And information updates are an even bigger scam so that we cannot easily understand how our secret information is stolen from us.

So we all have to be careful every moment.

Omo, this is absolutely really serious my gee if must confess. Because who knows if you never had tried their codes out, so that's how you would have kept on living your normal life and not knowing all your calls and movements are being spy on. Omo, this is absolute madness, when you have literally done nothing wrong. Because to be frankly speaking, if I were you, what I would have done is to immediately call Glo Customer service to enquire why were they spying on me, when I have literally done nothing wrong. Because that's a bridge upon my privacy to be done by a telecom company I entrusted my personal safety.

Greetings BigMan, I have personally tried the code on my Android phone, and it is perfectly okay on my side, but you know, phone varies, likewise the codes for example IOS and android are not same product and their codes varies so anyone using it should know that already hence the disclaimer and aside that everyone is liable to their actions as nobody was compelled to use the codes.
