Sometimes, we could suspect it to be people close to or around us, but it is very far from the truth. Let me tell you, most of the unexpected events sometimes happen as a result of communication breach, ie, our phone line being tapped, and the majority of us have no knowledge or idea why this happens so often. It took me a whole lot of research and findings to know more about this on my own.

Although it looks like just a minor thing but it can cause a whole lot and should not be overlooked or undermined. After pondering about this as a safety-conscious person, I had to put up a post about it on my local board here   Always check your communication gadgets for your safety. for those who have no knowledge or idea about this, and to my surprise, a member in my local board did it and discovered his calls were forwarded here and looking at his position, one would think that would never happen to him but it isn't so, what you never expect could happen hence we ought to take our safety serious.

I had to bring this here for the general house, to see it because it is of utmost importance that we take this aspect of our safety seriously. No matter our level or age, we could be a target, and as such, it is advisable to constantly do a regular or routine check on our lines to see if our calls are being tapped or forwarded to another number we do not know about. Doing this would at least keep us safe and free from any unforseen trouble.

From the link I had provided, you can see the codes to check your line if it is being tapped or diverted to another line and also how to disconnect it if you notice anything of such nature on your line.

To be honest, I don't check my phone much because I'm confident nobody accesses my phone, not even my wife knows my password. Even if wiretapping exists, I'm probably not important enough to be a target. That said, I always keep in mind that when it comes to personal privacy, I don't fully trust anyone not even close family members.

Im very cautious when it comes to my personal line and number but in anycase this would happened to me this is alarming. How come my phone can be tapped by someone maybe fed or higher ops? You are right that phones are a quick target and as such would be nice we take our phone safety very seriously because we might not know what have been sent to us which we have clicked or downloaded. maybe someone could have tapped our lines and be listening or recording our phone conversations without we knowing it. As always, I do check my phone with the appropriate codes as stated so I could see if my lines are tapped so I can get it disconnected. It is better I do such with immediate effect and stay say than not do have a such knowledge and be facing issues as a result of my ignorance.

Thanks for the advice but no one can access my phone, and as someone who have centralised way of keeping money it will be a waste of time and strength spent to have access to my phone.

Try all you can and end up with nothing, why? Because I don't even keep anything money on my phone, I don't store private keys in email address, I don't store BTC on mobile wallets.

I always make sure that my way of keeping my assets and money safe is far away from Internet connection, you don't have to tell me how safer and more secured this offline way of keep assets are..

In certain contexts we are not one of the people who are sought by them because we might talk about some information that is not so important that we have on the phone, so tapping our phone does not give any results. But talking about vigilance is important because at least we can keep our identity secret so that it is not used by those who are irresponsible. Posts like this are indeed quite useful because at least we can guard when it happens and have the option to take security measures.

Routine checks need to be done and usually tapping is more often done to people who have influence or just people who have been targeted for certain interests. For people like us, they may not be targets because there is no important information they need, but vigilance is indeed necessary.

For me personally, I use my iPhone as a device that I use for crypto, mobile banking, and other sensitive things—and won't use it for other things like browsing or accessing unimportant things, that is to protect me from malware, spyware, or unwanted things that can sneak in when visiting websites. Thank you for sharing this, I'm also a safety conscious person and I take my mobile security very seriously, anybody that does online transactions should be very safety conscious and shouldn't trust anyone easily, I don't actually check my line often because I know I have nothing to loose if my security is tempered with as I don't even save any of my valuable information in my phone, and you won't even find anything in my email and I don't even connect my phone to any public WiFi to avoid being hacked or monitored, I will take your advice seriously @OP because I may not know who have connected my line somewhere else to listen to my conversations or to record them.

But I occasionally do a restart to my phone whenever it's kind of slow. I don't also keep wallets on my phone, it's more of a personal use and browsing.

I have some bank apps in there but it's not that much at all. Keeping offline and lowkey is the best way to keep ourselves safe from these unknown potential threats.

Also, if you are an Android user, make sure your Play Protect is ON from time to time. There are dozens of parental apps that people are misusing these days. If some of your friends ever get access to your phone and install an app, then hide it from the menu, you wouldn't know anything about it. They can access your contacts, media that is on your device, and many more.

There are some paid apps as well. But there are some free tools like https://mobile-tracker-free.com/ which could be dangerous. Personally I have tried it on my secondary device and it really works until you turn on your play protection again.

I usually do a routine check on my phone everyweek, i think it’s high time i started doing it everyday. And yeah, thanks for this trick never thought turning off one’s phone can also be a precaution.

Yes I do like to make a check for my communication devices. I have been scammed so now I do make sure that will not happen to me again any time.

I do choose to power off my phone every day. I do this to make phone performance better. But it is also for better security. I did read it is good thing for us to do on cell phones.
