Tracking Bitcoin price versus tracking share market price trends

Can you not see how some announcements are live and which can cause increase or decrease in the proce of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies immediately after the announcement. I am watching it live on BBC, CNN or on X. What that is important about cryptocurrencies are already on the news.

It may not be like the stock market news but we are seeing the relevant information that we need.

In my countries they only discuss about the stock index instead of specific companies, except there's a sudden rise or news about the companies which affect the stock price. Recently my television channel always discuss about gold, because we know gold crossed new ATH.

Some channel do talk about Bitcoin, but it's usually during new ATH or big dump.

I haven't seen a channel that talk Bitcoin frequently, like once a week.

I get that, but based on what I've seen, the correlation is only temporary. Sure, there might be an initial reaction, but even if the stock market keeps struggling, Bitcoin tends to move differently, it always bounces back fast. That’s why I think judging crypto based on stock market performance is unreliable in the long run. The two don’t always follow the same path.

Crypto for what we know is to the world an upcoming technological advancement. Things like stock have been existing for long and control majority of the world economic power. There has to be a continuous update on the change in the market as most people would be interested in such. Also it's not that hard to get updates on news about cryptocurrency, we have many sites that give updates on both price and market changes, like coingeko, cointelegraph and some others. Some of them also have live update, like floating tabs you can add to your screen to help monitor price.

This is not even an issue the Bitcoin or Crypto-currency price is not hidden under the rock and there are tons of outlets where you can easy see it in real time. I don't know if you have heard about CoinMarketcap? You can find the price of almost all listed crypto-currency and for sure the top 100 coins are available there for you to track.

Getting prices from television is only for outsiders and people who are in the market even as newbies do know where to check price by themselves, and I am quite sure with you that they don't rely on televisions, TV shows, news channels to know about Bitcoin price or altcoin prices.

If people spent money in Bitcoin or altcoins, but don't know how to check price, they are gamblers, not investors. Those blindly gamblers in this volatile market need to be educated more. If they can do research and learn, they can be better educated for knowing how to check prices, and be able to avoid risk better. If they can not learn by their off efforts, the market will teach them by taking money from them.

A lot of tools like tradingview allow you to track them side by side, or even compare their graphs. I think tracking and getting market data for Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies might even be easier than stocks, because so much more data is available due to their transparent nature.

I don't think TV guest and analysts have much to cause market to move either up or down except the analyst is a whale hodling alot asses and discussing his next plan of action like Elon musk on some of his Saturday night live shows or Trump for instance. But if for an unknown media analyst, I don't think there will be an impact on cryptocurrency price because they are only analysing what has already happened using technical analysis and charts although they might analyse the future but it is not as the same with a whale saying his next plan of action. This is same with stock, a CEO coming on television to discuss the company's agenda, challenges, future plans etc is not the same with what an analyst would say. Over all, I prefer technical analysis. That is what gradually guide you to where price is heading to.

Share market have been in existence for a longer period of times before bitcoin so they've had existing structures and ways of decimating information about share and stock prices, However recently I've been seeing news about Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency prices on my local TV channels Arise whenever they want to do their business news and market price analysis. Since bitcoin has been growing In width and bounds across the globe, I'm certain that crypto will have TV channels that will be dedicated to cryptocurrency price analysis on a daily basis.

We already have similar things happening to cryptocurrency because we have dedicated telegraph, youtube and other social media channels dedicatee to sharing news that might affect the price of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency too. We mightn't have TV stations for now because we're still new and there aren't many people interested in knowing things about the market unlike for stocks and shares.

The channels on social media share both cryptocurrency dedicated news and news of the world economy that's also going to have effect on the cryptocurrency market because the market currently doesn't only get affected by news relating to the market but that of general markets too. Shares market didn't have interest when it started but currently, there are many people interested in knowing what's happening in the market and that's how it'll be for Bitcoin soon.

This is the post I was looking for, I think the issue of actually tracking shares as OP mentioned is very much easier with bitcoin and cryptocurrency. There are many tools for tracking of data with TradingView been one of the top platforms. It can be used to check the chart data of different pairs and even compare the chart pattern between two coins to one another, it can also be used to check past bitcoin chart pattern, backtest the data and see how it can be used for future predictions. Aside the trading view, there is also the likes of Coin Glass that can actually shows the volume open interest of a coin, long and short liquidation prices and many more of these datas to help get the information one actually wants

Of course traditional market will be shown on media they are mainstream. They are part of the economy too. Whatever happens in that sector is always worth mentioning in news. Because it usually signifies anything that’s not good.

As far as I know, bitcoin is already seen sometimes in news. They can talk about bitcoin’s price a lot and speculate about it as well. It might not be all news yet but it’s a start.

Exactly. Tradingview and coinglass are two of my favorite tools and I believe tools that everyone should be using to track both technical and on-chain data!
