I don't think there is anyone who is an expert in hunting airdrops, I think it's all luck and perseverance. Even if you ask about what usually makes people lucky in airdrops is because of the large funding obtained by the project that is holding the airdrop, so the rewards they will share will be greater when there is large funding.

To be honest, there are now several people who hunt airdrops most of the time, some of whom get VERY good sums and make it practically a job
It may not last for many years, but it has been one of the things in crypto that has rewarded users the most, even more so in times of falling or sideways BTC

I think airdrops are announced on the altcoin session of this platform, but not as popular as the rest of the other threads are, because people are not giving it that attention anymore as they used to because airdrop these days are not what it is anymore, majority or most of the airdrops we see out there are scams and there is nothing anybody can do about it. Perhaps those who made huge profits were really lucky. I have been involved in this field for years and the most significant amount I made was $1000, which came from a startup project. I worked on its testnet until the mainnet was launched. However, regarding the airdrops that are launched on Telegram, they are not worth trying. All of them are projects that exploit their communities and drain their funds and fees without any noticeable return. I even participated in many of the previous mini-games whose team set strict withdrawal conditions, which led to unfair distribution after weeks of playing.

Therefore, there are already channels on Telegram and YouTube that publish opportunities to participate in potential airdrops. Still, everyone should conduct their own research and use a secondary wallet to participate.

We haven't had any airdrops for many years. What we have is jobs that pay you for the work you do in something (usually the token) they've "printed" out of thin air with virtually no cost.
The work you do is usually advertising their token and getting more people to drink the Kool-Aid, somewhat like how the Pyramid schemes since the tokens are completely useless.

Altcoin airdrops are shit and they are big traps. You can spend your time and perhaps computer resources, capital resources for on chain transaction fees, to receive their token airdrop. It can be high or low price at and shortly after airdrop distribution time and listing time, but the bottom line is months later, token price falls to hell.

A latest example is Zksync with hundreds of million dollars fund raised successfully and massive airdrop to community. Now months later it dumped to $0.04 days ago, and from $0.32 to $0.042 within less than 1 year, it's nightmare for anyone who is Zk token holder.

I understand your point of view but however I have also read articles that claims that Airdrops still exist but are not full free money, you have to work for them either by staking or buy spending time and resources in mining for several times before you can get them, there are a lots of airdrop out now but it takes so much to get this airdrop so guys no longer consider it airdrop but a job for some token or rewards.

Here in forum yes there's no one from here are still interested on airdrop. Most of the people especially those old timers know how to earn decently from crypto and wasting their time in airdrops is out of these.

But if you look at on social media particularly on X there are still lots of people looking for any potential airdrops for thinking that they can earn huge profit from it. I feel bad for them since most of the time they are just wasting their effort and they are free tools from scam devs to scattered their scam projects for free. That's why I encourage people to stop participating on this programs since profitability is not really sure. Although to be honest I don't really like anything airdrop due to the fact that they are not always trustworthy, most of them are just full of scam at last so is very hard right now to see a good airdrop that would going to bring out money for you at the end of the day. Been early plays a vital role in airdrop allocation but most importantly, the market trend was the major reason. There was a time people were all doing this tapping thing from Notcoin down to Hamster Kombat, some people were happy because notcoin did well and that's because less people participated while many complain of Hamster Kombat not doing well but there is something I notice between projects that launch on market during Hamster time and new projects that are coming to the market now with some airdrop incentives.

Many of the new airdrop are poor because the altcoin market isn't longer interesting, most altcoins that are launch are launched with low FDV meaning airdrop participants will get low reward. Hamster that many complaints about have high valuation than most of this ones and that's because there is no interest in buyers, the meta structure of airdrop is on longer there again and all I can say is if anyone that want to do airdrop should up learn skill of trading.

Correct, I've seen someone who's wallet was wiped out because his wallet was connected to a site to claim tokens which was mined on it. Some of these airdrops are scam activities. The crypto space is porus, the least we can do is being very security conscious.

Just keep on learning, everyone is sharing the same sentiment about airdrops nowadays. They're mostly a waste of time although some optimistic might say that people have been saying the same thing to airdrops last year.

But to be honest, they've become a waste of time for real.

No airdrop has made any significant impact after NOTCOIN, most of the projects after it are mostly scams, so anybody looking for airdrop that will be profitable to them might be disappointed. I also think that the profitable era of airdrops are mostly behind us now and most experienced people in cryptocurrency have moved on because most of the airdrops now are waste of time. Get a regular source of income and invest some money in Bitcoin, perhaps risk some amount that you can afford to loose on reputable altcoins. There are lots of scams in the crypto market and we have to ba careful and informed so we won't be their victims.

Some members already mentioned Notcoin, it seems that it was the last "good" one. I also remember UNI tokens by Uniswap, which was quite good too, and back in 2017 there were many more which, better or worse, paid somehow.

The further back in time you go, the better they were. In 2015 or 2016 I participated in Decred by chance (one of my very first interactions with the crypto world) and it paid quite well -better if I had holded or converted into Bitcoin, but still-, but I think that airdrops like that are gone forever, and if not, the chances to catch something like that among all the shitty ones is very low and which, additionally, will make you lose your time, your coins or your personal data in order to participate,

It's been a while since I last heard of altcoins doing airdrops in this forum. Way back in ~2017, it was fairly common for new projects to airdrop their tokens after a certain requisite has been made.

Anyway, I do recommend that instead of hoping for airdrops, you could check the token section for other services that they require for you to earn tokens or cryptocurrencies from these altcoin projects. For example, you can participate in campaign signatures under the altcoin section and once you have accomplished your task, you will be rewarded for your service in tokens.

Though not all airdrops are scam perse, they are notoriously well-known to scam users by inserting/injecting some sort of malware by downloading their application. Just be careful if you think you find a token which airdrops their coins.

After  Notcoin airdrop was successful, i knew lots of scam projects will be created, and they will want to take advantage of NOTCOIN airdrop success, and that was what happened, lots of coins were created, and most of them asked people to pay some amount of money to boost their rank, but after paying, some got listed but didn’t even go well, and some didn’t even list, they just went away with people’s money.

Am not really expecting anything serious from airdrop for now, I will say we have passed airdrop period, maybe later in the future we might be seeing some good airdrops again, but for now it’s just better we get other things doing, and just ignore the airdrops in crypto space currently. If you are having some funds, then it’s just better to accumulate some bitcoin, and hold for some time.
