I’ve spent quite a bit of time researching this project and didn’t want my efforts to go to waste. Maybe someone will find this information useful.

Everyone in their chat is hyping it up as a PQC blockchain, meaning their blockchain and cryptography are supposedly immune to the quantum threat. However, that’s not the case. This project was built to incentivize the development of quantum simulation. In other words, the idea is for mining power to be spent simulating solutions to quantum algorithms. It has absolutely nothing to do with quantum resistance.

I’m not saying it’s a scam or a fraud—not at all, the project is actually quite interesting. But when you buy QTC, you need to understand that if (or when) ECC is cracked, you will be hacked too. Given the transitional nature of the project, I honestly still don't understand its long-term function once actual quantum computers finally arrive.

I'm not sure which chat you are referring to but if it is the main Telegram, I haven't seen anyone really hyping this as a PQC blockchain, the only official reference to PQC was from an early team AMA which made clear that (stating the obvious) one day it will need to be PQC. You are right that they are trying to achieve SuperDense Consensus, ie a decentralized network that produces actual quantum fata output each time a block is mined - very cool if the team can pull it off.

Again, I haven't personally seen the Telegram members hyping it as a PQC project at all (genuinely speaking here)

The most interesting part of Qubitcoin is not only that mining simulates quantum circuits, but that the network is also presented as a long-term benchmark for comparing different simulators and eventually real quantum hardware.

That makes the historical record especially important. If a new solver, optimized kernel or hardware implementation appears later, researchers and miners will need to know which circuit format, precision rules, verification method, difficulty logic and performance claims were officially in use at that exact time.

The same applies to the broader project statements: the alpha-mainnet status, the planned simulator improvements, discussions with hardware companies, wallet development and the role of Superquantum. GitHub commits preserve code changes, but they do not necessarily preserve every public explanation, benchmark claim or roadmap commitment in its original form. Websites, articles and forum posts can all be revised or removed.

Is there an official Qubitcoin archive where these technical claims, benchmark results, roadmap updates and major announcements are permanently timestamped and cannot later be silently edited? Please share the link if such a record already exists.

I have forwarded this to the lead mod who in turn will ask the team. I'll post once they respond (being honest it may take a while as I know the core team are a busy bunch). Will share once I have the info 👍

I did put this to the community manager and was told it was forwarded on. I've not yet had a response, I suspect the team are quite busy and there has been a positive shift in activity behind the scenes ( it seems  to me)

On that note, they posted earlier that there is an AMA on 17 August on X with the newly appointed director of the Qubitcoin Foundation. They have invited questions and I have posted your queries there on your behalf.

August technical update, taken from the official twitter:

Here's our monthly update #3 for August, and you can expect some more announcements in the next month:

Technical

We are reaching the final stages of implementing Qubitcoin’s second computational task. The node’s verification and RPC capabilities have now been implemented, alongside additional features for SuperDense Consensus and expanded testing coverage.
Development of the reference miner for the second task is also nearing completion. From a technical perspective, the next major milestone will be preparing for the testnet launch, where the new task can be tested and observed in a live network environment.
More information, including details of the task itself and the scientific principles behind it, will be shared in upcoming announcements as we move closer to its testnet launch.

Executive

On the executive and community side, we hosted our first AMA with Dmitrii, moderated by Sparta. We hope the session gave the community a better understanding of the project, the team, and where Qubitcoin is headed.
The team has also been working on a new community growth initiative designed to strengthen Qubitcoin’s outreach, engagement, and community operations as we enter the next stage of the project. We expect these efforts to become more visible alongside the launch of the new task and the upcoming testnet.

Happy to share the September monthly update! And, just to note, we usually aim to publish the updates before the end of the month in our timezone, which is US Eastern, so take this into account when waiting for the next ones.

Technical

During this month we have fully implemented the second computation task and the remaining details of the Superdense Consensus architecture. We have been doing extensive research and conducting many experiments to find the optimal task parameters that will be suitable for the launch, and this currently remains the only thing still blocking the testnet release of the task. We expect to finish that within the next few weeks (and hopefully earlier) and make an official testnet launch. Following that, we will start our preparation for making the task available on the mainnet.

Executive

As we mentioned last time, as we get closer to the release of the second task, we'll be announcing an exciting initiative focused on growing our community. A lot of internal discussions and planning is already happening behind the scenes to make it happen. We can't share much more just yet, but we'll post the full details as the release gets closer.
