CoinGambling.info earned 25 merits for this post. The sender was bitcoincasino.info who has been on the forum for over a decade, and who has never earned any merits or sent any merits other than that transaction. Probably got the merits airdropped when the merit system went into place. This makes me think: 1. That post does not deserve 25 merits. 2. The two accounts are probably managed by the same person or they are likely people from the same group. Not that it deserves a red tag but surely a follow-up.

We are allowed to speculate, but post quality is totally subjective and the holder of the smerits determines what deserves merits and the quantity they are willing to give. Not that it deserves a red tag but surely a follow-up.
If it can be proven that they are the same person, then it's deserving of a tag.

Those two accounts are most likely connected in some way, but until there is a definite proof that they are controlled by the same person, imho nothing should be done. At least not now.
But yeah, not a bad idea to keep an eye on it.

CoinGambling.info and bitcoincasino.info are clearly connected with each other. See this post: To answer your question, bitcoincasino.info is our old project, which we are not currently updating.
It seems that a single person owns both CoinGambling.info and bitcoincasino.info. The person (or a group of people) created a new casino and a new bitcointalk account.

There's nothing against it as long as both stick to the rules But Meriting your alts is frowned upon here. So I'm guessing you are among the team that's behind both accounts. 1. That post does not deserve 25 merits.
It would have made more sense if the ANN was merited or since there's none Merit the thread itself.

Two accounts from the same user are allowed in the forum, but the same user owning two accounts is not allowed to send merit to each other; that's considered merit abuse.

There's nothing against it as long as both stick to the rules But Meriting your alts is frowned upon here. Not only merit transactions can be disliked. But also, if a larger account happens to be a DT member and gives a positive tag on their new casino account, it can also be categorized as trust abuse. But this case did not happen to the account referred to by OP. We have seen the relationship between the two accounts. Maybe both accounts were operated by the same person/group in the previous casino management. That assumption might be enough to be the reason why there were merit transactions from both accounts in large amounts.

While this was said to be done by a legitimate casino, it's important for any service or individuals to be well aware of the rules and regulations of any place or platform they choose to stick with in order to avoid acting against it and facing the backlash.

It seems that a single person owns both CoinGambling.info and bitcoincasino.info. The person (or a group of people) created a new casino and a new bitcointalk account. Hmmm... The two accounts are connected with the evidence you provided. But there will be more issues to be treated; 1. As a project, it means they are more than one persons. Just like their statement read "bitcoin casino.info is our old project". It could mean that different persons are handling the accounts. 2. Since we don't know who is behind the accounts, it will be fine to assume that one project account is a separate entity from the person controlling it. We might not be wrong to conclude that what happened is merit sharing between projects owned by one person or same persons. This should be against the merit rules.

"our" has the same requirements as "me", or else everyone would start using "our/we" to imbue confidence. . A different person in the same "our" should be assumed or treated as the same individual. In this case, you have the recipient receiving 25 merit they should not have, simply because they had an old alt account they/he/she/whatever decided to use. If a person has alts (like Loyce and mobile) or you need a second account (like vod.bot) or you have a business account and a personal account, announce it, and don't pull the "fiscal responsibility scam"; giving 25 merits to an alt secretly, hoping you are not caught. :/ Edited for clarity

CoinGambling.info has registered since 11th of December of 2024. That makes it more than more than 4 months that he registered on this forum. Probably he was frustrated today for not having any merit since he has registered and decided to use his alt to send merit. This is highly not necessary at all as he may think it is good for him but he instead painting his account bad on this forum.

Account bitcoincasino.info probably changed hands back in 2023 or 2024 when he woke up. Before that there was already ownership change registered in 2020, so I am sure this is not the original owner. I would say that member CoinGambling.info is just a altaccount of bitcoincasino.info, and this is a case of merit abuse.

Not to mention that most members here have no idea how to use pronouns appropriately when writing in English, so if I had to bet on whether those two accounts are controlled by the same person, I'd put my money on 'hell yes'. And of course there's the fact (which OP pointed out) that bitcoincasino.info has only ever merits that one time to CoinGambling.info--nothing before that post or since. That definitely smells fishy Fishy smell or no, suspected merit abusers aren't usually punished despite what others have written here. DT members could hand out red trust if there's solid evidence of it, but I don't see that happening. It's a much lesser offense than scamming, ban evasion, bounty abuse with alt accounts and the like. Poker Player (that's the last time I'll use that username, I swear) ought to know that, and I'm surprised he created this thread. Still, it's a good catch of an alt account connection and I wouldn't be surprised if there was some other shady stuff going on with one or both of those accounts.

I don't think so. bitcoincasino.info is still controlled by the person who created it. As I said in my previous post, CoinGambling.info and bitcoincasino.info both are owned by the same person (and both have been created by the same person) bitcoincasino.info was their old casino which no longer exists and CoinGambling.info is their new casino. If bitcoincasino.info was controlled by someone else, he wouldn't send merit to CoinGambling.info

You can do as you wish of course but red is prob too far IMO.

It's a much lesser offense than scamming, ban evasion, bounty abuse with alt accounts and the like.
But ultimately, with time, it propagates into either of this. As for having a lesser offense, maybe because everyone knows the terminus would be submitting an application on a campaign thread, or trying to get a loannnn (like a huge one). While this is uncertain/awaits more research to further prove the connection, I think it's better to keep a note on them. I wouldn't even realize such an account especially since they had to merit a post from 2024, in the gambling section. As I said in my previous post, CoinGambling.info and bitcoincasino.info both are owned by the same person (and both have been created by the same person) You may be right.

I already noticed this, as I reported them for creating multiple threads on the Gambling board. Forum moderators have already locked the threads I reported. I didn’t make this kind of post before because I’ve seen similar issues in the past and nothing happened.
I think a neutral tag for this account would be fair, just to serve as a reminder that the user is suspected of merit abuse. This kind of issue is very common within circles of gambling teams—if you know what I mean.

The goal may be to make images visible without having to pay the copper membership fee. In general, the best thing to do now is to add a neutral trust unless one of the accounts is involved in scam.

Well, actually I think a red would be a bad use of the trust system. I am considering a neutral but I might not even leave it. Fishy smell or no, suspected merit abusers aren't usually punished despite what others have written here. DT members could hand out red trust if there's solid evidence of it, but I don't see that happening. It's a much lesser offense than scamming, ban evasion, bounty abuse with alt accounts and the like. I don't mind you using Poker Player. I do not know why you are so surprised because many times when we see between two accounts something that does not seem to have much importance after revealing it to the community we end up realizing that it was the tip of the iceberg, and so far, apart from the transaction that I describe in the OP we already have that the two accounts are operated by the same person, as hosemary says, and that according xLays explains they have a not very honest behavior when creating threads in the gambling section. So far nothing like for a red tag, probably a neutral is OK, but sure worth keeping an eye on.
