If Anderson Silva can beat Chavez Jr. why not Jake Paul? This will be a good fight if Chavez Jr. can only bring back his old glory days.

I think this is a good fight for Jake. While Chavez Jr. isn't a great boxer, he is a decent boxer. Sure he is past his prime, but it's just another fight to gain experience. I don't know what people expect from Jake. He is just a YouTuber that started doing boxing a few years ago. What he is supposed to do? Fight Canelo and get killed in round 1 and end the hype train? I think he is doing the right thing, just keep fighting UFC big names, and start escalating on the quality on the boxers. The next boxer, if he wins Chavez Jr., will be better, and so on. Just gradual improvements. Don't jump on some big name fight and get dropped quick. He already lost to Tommy Fury in a close fight, so I think he shoud get a rematch for that next.

I though that after a fight against Mike Tyson, level of Jakes opponents would only go up. Though that he would search for a more challenging fight. Yeah he has been calling out Canelo for years. But he knows he will not fight him anytime soon. In marketing this is just a way to hype things up even if they seem impossible now to happen. He knows down the line Canelo will retire, and then if Jake has been successful in his career, a mega money fight could be done. Im sure Canelo wants to fight him down the line because he will make a ton of money. Of course, he has more to lose than Jake Paul. If Jake Paul's career ends with a Canelo loss, well that wouldn't be a disaster. However Canelo is risking a lot, but im sure just like how Floyd Mayweather was risking a lot vs McGregor as the end of his career fight, both never had a doubt that they would win, so for them it is a very low risk very high reward fight. This is did not work for Mike Tyson because he is like 60, but Floyd was 40 and Canelo being 34 now, let's say the fight happens in 4 years, well at 38 Canelo will still be very dangerous for Jake, so I can see that fight happening and im sure it will be an huge PPV success.

And if by chance Canelo retire, I do think that Jake Paul will still wait for several years to let Canelo really aged because if he immediately fight him, then I think Canelo might bet him. And that is not Jake Paul's criteria, it should be retired, and old former boxer. Just like in this case on JC Chaver Jr. during his prime I do not think that Jake Paul will bet him. It's that JCC Jr. for me didn't really push himself to be a great boxer just like his father. Easy fights, easy money, and so when he faces elite boxers, it is shown that he didn't train that hard and that's why he lost. So it's perfect boxer that Jake Paul is looking for.

What where the era of popularity start? 80s? People watch two or more guys fake fight and that industry generate billions of dollars. Well it makes for good gambling opportunities if anything. The fight may not be the best boxing ever, but it's always entertaining for many people to see celebrities risking their reputation if they get KO'd. This is why a lot of people tuned in to Netflix to watch Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul. That fight was a bit of a joke since you shouldn't have 60 year olds fighting even if they were former world champions. But both wanted the paycheck and many people were willing to tune in. If there is people paying tickets then there is a market. A lot of people made a ton of money on that fight betting for a Jake Paul decision. I think it was a reasonable bet. They wouldn't let Mike Tyson get KO'd, but Jake wouldn't be willing to take an L, that was the most expected return. If Paul wasn't KO'd in the first round or two it was set.

Just like in the Mike Tyson fight, it seems that Tyson is not giving 100% on his power punches that's why people see this fight as being rigged.

However, if there are still fans willing to buy expensive tickets to watch this fight then Jake will continue to milk and scam them for choosing fighters that is old and that he can easily beat but he will hype it up as if the opponent will have a chance to beat him.

I guess what fans buy there is to experience watching Paul or Sanchez fighting in live. Also we are not really so sure if this fight is really rigged since we are just speculating about it, but there's nothing can prove that they are fixing things to give it in favor on one of them.

Maybe we could see after the fight if this is really scripted since we could see it base on their movements since real fight doesn't have any hold backs and they want to destroy each other. But scripted fights provably have many possible drawbacks and we could see that they are not serious on their match.

I guess others think that this is expensive because it's not a real professional boxing fight. And even if there are some fights in the undercard, it's a snoozer. Unlike to let's say the fight that the HE Turki are putting, even the supporting bouts are great.

I think we can say though that there are noises about the so called agreement with the Mike Tyson fight. Tyson seems to be holding specially in the last half of the fight as he is not pushing and not pulling the trigger.

And that's why there are fans and boxing pundits who think that fight is a rigged one. So it's hard to read it even during the pre-fight and promotion. Again, there is no proof above this rigging of fights. But it makes us wonder if Tyson is really looking for a win on just there for the biggest paycheck of his career.

Regardless, however, I don't judge Tyson's decision here given his age. If a match against Jake Paul would garner him millions that could render him a guaranteed millions, then go for it. While I do reserve my judgement against exhibition matches, I'm all up for entertainment.

Although Chavez Jr. is 39 years old and has been far from championship form in the last eight years, I think his experience can give him an advantage against Paul.
So even though he has had a bad time in recent years, he has good experience. This match could be a complete fiasco for Jake Paul. Did he make the wrong choice?

We can't compare it to Tommy Fury fight though, I mean Fury has nothing to offer to Jake Paul that time, maybe the animosity is real between the two, but still the amount of money Paul make as compare to Tyson is different.

Paul has once again trapped someone and intends to put on a show. It will be an easy match for Jake Paul to win. His championships and experience will not be enough, there is a young athlete actively fighting against him. He will knockout Jake Paul with his knockout power. Perhaps a final financial gain for Chavez, for his fighting career. The answer to this question is somewhat obvious, whether he will save this money for his retirement or spend it quickly.

In any case as we have said, it's money that we are talking here and so with that, he is lucky that he has been given a chance by Jake Paul.

But the result will be same anyways, Jake Paul should win this fight easy.
