When I watched the Tyson match, it was arguably one of the most scripted fights especially when Mike was restraining himself to go all-out. Regardless, however, I don't judge Tyson's decision here given his age. If a match against Jake Paul would garner him millions that could render him a guaranteed millions, then go for it. While I do reserve my judgement against exhibition matches, I'm all up for entertainment.

After the Mike Tyson match, I was expecting them to make a new promotion and a new organization.
Although Chavez Jr. is 39 years old and has been far from championship form in the last eight years, I think his experience can give him an advantage against Paul.
So even though he has had a bad time in recent years, he has good experience. This match could be a complete fiasco for Jake Paul. Did he make the wrong choice?

I do think that Chavez Jr. would win here. Given his track record and his experience, that could not be faked or anything. In conclusion, I do believe that Chavez Jr. would get a landslide victory against Jake Paul especially if the former gets really serious about it.

Im just not sure about that. I think Mike Tyson was just too old, and the dude seemed confused or out of place. Mike Tyson looks great on videos when he is training against the bag or against pads, but it's a different story getting in the ring for many rounds as a 60 year old. Perhaps he was holding back and it was scripted, we will never know, but I wouldn't be surprised if that was his real performance last night, and I may even add that it was Jake Paul that was holding back. People talk about Jake Paul as if he was a couch pottato. This guy has a good background is wrestling, he has been training with boxing professional for many years, he's no joke. Sure for an experienced boxer he gets smoked, but im not sure if the age gap there isn't a big problem and experience makes him win. With these celebrity fights you never know if it's all a script or not.

damn, jake first targeted an old guy with a chronic disease and now a guy who was in jail, rehab treatment and a psych ward. I won't be surprised if Jake won this fight.

Anyway, I saw a Facebook post from Eddie Hall where he said he just got off the phone with Jake Paul, where Jake Paul offered him a fight with a condition that he will go down in round 3. I am not sure how legitimate the offer is, but I wouldn't be surprised if Jake Paul proposed that offer.

This is possible, thinking a premeditated can occur in an exhibition fight is possibly normal.  It was a non-bearing fight and the aim is to entertain the audience or build a career of a certain boxer.  Probably that kind of offer is also given to the previous opponent of Jake Paul.

Anyway, I do not see any excitement in this fight, Julio Chaves Jr. vs Jake Paul, but probably a grace deal so that Chavez Jr. can have a fund and exposure to shape up the future of his boxing career if he wants to continue or totally hang up his gloves, after going to jail and other hurdles of his life.

Their fight is not about boxing. At least not for a 100%. So it isnt right to look on this fight from pure boxing professionalism point of view. WWE is full of clowns, they dont fight seriously, but do serious preparation for a fight. But we dont blame them for fights being staged, or make fun when they fake being hurt. And they get paid a lot of money for that. Besides Jake vs Chavez Jr there are a lot of other mismatches in boxing, but nobody gives a damn about it.

That's how exhibition fight goes for and we can expect that this fight would provably stage. But we don't know on which this fight will be in favor with. But I have strong feeling that they might give this fight in favor of Jake Paul since he still have more exhibition fight and promoters would provably take advantage with his youth and fame to gather a lot more money from his future fights. Defeating ex champions is good to add on the record of Paul and provably more people would watch him fight to other ex world champions again.

This fight is both win win for them especially that they get a lot of money after this fight ends. If we look at the stats Paul is so behind with Chavez jr. But since this is an exhibition match we cannot expect to see an intense fight between these two fighters.

What is a pro fight then except different rules? Still goal is the same, knock out your opponent or win by points. I dont get why people are so negative about Jake opponents? That's what the initial goal of exhibition fights, and remember this is prevalent during the pandemic days as everyone is bored so they have to create something that will still interested people and so this is born.

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. is a huge disappointment. He was primed. He was taken care of. He was treated like a baby in the harsh world of boxing. He was well-fed with easy fights early on by promoters. Despite all of this, he didn't succeed. In his fight against Canelo, he showed he wasn't his father's son.

He eventually turned into a Jake Paul, even defeated by an old Anderson Silva. And now, he's trying to make money once again by making fun of himself. He's effectively tarnished the name. Indeed, this is garbage.

Since it’s an exhibition fight, you can’t really expect it to be a full-on, real fight.

And let’s be honest, he’s the one promoting it, or let’s just say he’s the king of exhibition matches, so of course the script is going to favor him.

Cruiserweight is a very thin division. There are some top guys that Jake could conceivably be competitive against if he was willing to take even the smallest risk and fight somebody his own size. Badou Jack is a beatable champion who is on the way out. If Jake worked his way up the rankings to set up that fight and was competitive, he would earn a good amount of respect. In the meantime he could fight Junior Makabu and Chris Billiam-Smith, two former champions that would help build his credibility.

There is no impediment to him fighting better opponents. Jake is not contractually tied to any promoter or network and can move freely. Jake is the reason why people are buying the PPV, how well-recognized the opponent is isn’t too important. He can choose to take things seriously and build a good reputation, but has instead decided to play it safe for easy money. That is not deserving of any respect. When you make a mockery of something that many people put a lot of effort and dedication into, Jake will be treated like the clown he is.

It would be easy money if he would knock his opponents out with first punch and fight ends with only 1 punch. Even if the fight is fully staged, he is at least trains for the fight and motivates others to try to do something in sport. Btw, I think Jake has such a reputation of easy money, that there a line of active and former boxers who wish to fight (and even agree to lose on purpose). That is the problem. If a top boxer comes against him, he would fight weak, take unnecessary punches and lose, to have a chance for a rematch and earn again. If a guy comes, knocks Jake, there is no chance for him to earn once again. Like Tyron Woodley. He could have finished Jake. Instead he agreed to lose first fight, get KOed in second. Staged fight.
