I personally don't mind him fighting people who are not in top shape, it shows that he understands he's not at that level to box with top professionals.

He understands that he is not at that level to box with professionals? He wants to fight to Alex Pereira, so I wouldn't say that he understands that. By the way, to be honest, he probably understands but won't admit because he wants to make money and if he is lucky and beats a top fighter, it will only give him a huge boost while if he loses, he will say that he is just an youtuber and that's all. The man has nothing to lose but everything to gain.

The part I don't agree with is the speculations that some of the fights are faked and the opponents have to sign undertakings. If that's true, it's a huge low.

That's what I have been thinking lately because bookmakers accept his matches and if they were faked and Jake's win was guaranteed, it would be a terrible for bookmakers.

Yes, that is the thing, with Jake Paul becoming bigger and we can say that he is also a cash cow now, similar to the status of Canelo Alvarez. In which when you fight him, it's like you are hitting a sweepstakes.

With his previous fight you mean the fight against Mike Tyson? If that fight wasn't staged, I don't know what fight could hav ever been staged. If he had a chance to knock Tyson out with one punch, I doubt he would have done it. This was not what the deal was about. It would in fact have been the worst sequence of events if Jake Paul knocked out Tyson in the first or second round. Netflix wanted that event to be nerve-wracking, but the intensity of that fight probably evoked quite the opposite feelings.

JCC had a couple of losses and his practice level is low. He had six fights since 2020 and won three and lost three. But Jake Paul set the hare running although I think he can't afford too many boring fights before interest from broadcasters in his fights will decline quickly. It's time for him to have a real boxing fight that isn't suspected of being staged. We want to see some blood.

Well said. In his recent matches. Only Mayweather didn’t agree to let Jake win, because that guy has too much pride and wouldn’t tarnish his undefeated record just for money. It would be a joke if he lost to a content creator, especially when he defeated great boxers during his professional career. After Jake’s fight with Chavez Jr., I wouldn’t be surprised if he wins again in his next fight. Yeah, initially though it was reported that Jake Paul wanted to be a professional boxer. But then again, he is just fighting bumps and we all know the back story of him. He is a Youtuber who is already a well known. But when he gets himself involved in exhibition matches in the height of the pandemic, what's what turn everything on his favor as he became famous earn a lot of money fighting former boxers and mma fighters.

So as boxing fans, it's not new that Jake will continue his way to make money out of us and as somewhat has said before, he is scamming his fans from buying or even just watching his fights. In my opinion, Jake Paul needs to show that his fights are taken very seriously. To do this, he must beat strong opponents by knockout in the first few rounds. Same here, I know that there is this fight, but forgotten when is the date until I scroll on my social media and see the results. I guess I'm one of those who are not that interested to see this fight or I might be tired of Jake Paul and his exhibition fights.

Perhaps that is what he wanted in the beginning, he is just interested in the money and we can say that he was very successful "entrepreneur". He has fought Mike Tyson and make a ton of money. So it's a easy route for him and his brother to continue this kind of fight and then hide under the guise that they want to be a professional boxer. But for some of us, it's now obvious and will not follow his fight in the future.

Watching this fight it seemed like Jake was lucky it didn’t go longer. He was dominating the fight up until he wasn’t. Those last 3 rounds he was getting beat up and wobbled. I think 2 more rounds and he would’ve gotten knocked out. He’s getting to be a better fighter with each match, but this fight showed he is nowhere near the level of top tier boxers yet.

Julio Cezar Chavez SR. can accept Chavez Jr. can accept the loss, but it’s hard to take if your son is accused of being part of a terrorist group. This is so weird; they have their passports, and the DHS should have known about the warrant, but they let them continue the fight.
I think they knew it all along, but they let Junior continue the fight because the promoters are going to lose a lot of money if they stop it.

Yes, it's really very unfortunate case for the son of one of the most beloved and legendary boxer coming from Mexico. And it's contrast to see that Jr. is very different, from his father, under performer and doesn't care about his father's legacy. And as a parent, we can see Sr, frustration on his son.

But he is retired already, and most likely drawn by Paul's offer that he can't refuse that's why he goes out of retirement and for a good money. However, he lost the fight although there could be a good chance in the late round but he Paul has built a good lead already.
