Can introduction of new subjects like trading help the economy?

I don't think on a large scale this would help save the economy, what happens to real jobs if everyone shifts their interests to trading ?? I think what really needs to happen to regulating number of students that graduate from certain schools because everyone wants a white-collar job and these are saturated. People need to go more into engineering jobs, and anyother skill based jobs that don't require the dependency of employment...we need to be out own bosses.

Though the trading can come in as a survival skill to learn, but certainly can't be put as priority one as it needs money to be invested, which is risk on the table already.

Trading is very risky, you need too also think about that. I have posted this countless without numbers on this forum that almost all traders are losing. Should that be encouraged in school? I will say no. Anyone that wants to learn how to trade can acquire the skills elsewhere.

The possibility of being successful through trading is very low because trading is highly risky and not everyone can understand how to analyze the market, it will be a misplaced priority. Look at El Salvador that is teaching their students mostly the technical aspects of bitcoin, preparing them on how to embrace decentralized environment but not trading because it's wrong for government to support such.

Do you mean it to be  taught in the secondary school as a trade subject or in the tertiary institutions whichever way it's a good idea but I think it will take few persons to embrace such opportunities and also we all know the level of risks involved in trading whereas involving it with students that are unable to manage money will prone them to losses,it's just like gambling at a tender age and getting addicted in the long run,it may seem beneficial and at the same time posing threats to the students.

Why i will agree with you about the fact that skills like cryptocurrency trading and forex trading should be introduced in our curriculum is because of the fact that no knowledge they say is a waste, education should not only be about teaching you on how to be intellectually sound or teaching you on how to be expert on a particular field of study, is also about empowering somebody with the right skill set to succeed financial in the  society. So even when there are risk factors involved, those of them who will want to venture into it will be taught a skill set on how to prevent losses on their own part, so that at the end of the academic program those of them who want to venture into trading wether it is crypto or Forex will know what it entails on how they can succeed on their own because they've been taught.

Indivudlas, that I know or have heard about who escaped poverty, are those who were running trading learning centres. They offer to teach you forex or crypto trading in exchange of some money, it's like bootcamps where you pay some money and they give you lessons for a few months with a certificate. Such companies made lots of money from trading but I don't know someone who really escaped the poverty with crypto trading. There are some people who bought Bitcoin years ago and forgot about it but remembered it once it became expensive. Besides them, there is almost nobody because poor can't become rich by trading and if that was the case, then a millionaire would become trillionaire if we compare the ROI that poor needs to become rich.

I think most of the time the word “rich” is actually been used wrongly in this forum. First of all implementing trading as a course of study in any level of education can never be possible because of the volatility or risk involved in trading, the government has already made Bitcoin investment look like a gamble so just imagine something like trading which carries higher risk getting implemented, it is almost a certainty that it cannot work. Best I see is the idea of the bitcoin network (blockchain in general) been thought in school other than that nothing more.

As for the statement about many people using trading to get rich I can’t say many people actually got rich through trading but there are certainly traders who had it better through trading, they could have been living below $1k but certainly they currently have a better portfolio size than that. There are many who even flip there money upto 100x from trading, but it is not much. Those living flashy lives either have mentorship programs and other businesses that supports there needs but there are certainly successful traders who don’t sell mentorship

I would argue that it will.

In the first place, before you teach the concept of trading to a person/student, they must first know the concepts behind trading which necessarily involves money, currency, finances, investments, and other processes which involve the economy. After building and learning the foundation of economics, then the person may be taught on how to apply those learnings into actual experience, which is trading.

So to answer your question, the introduction of new subjects like trading will definitely give students a background about economics as well. You cannot teach a person about trading without knowing its effects. You cannot run without learning how to walk; and you cannot drive without knowing the traffic signs.

It is better to learn in school how to be a trader but not in crypto trading, but trading something else.
Crypto trading is more risky for you to lose than to earn, if you see profit posts from crypto traders, believe me, more people lose, because crypto trading is full of manipulation, those with a lot of funds have the ability to manipulate the market, and retail is more often the loser.

When discussing something like this, it will be more focused if it is to be used as one of the lessons and in my opinion this is more suitable to be applied in college. However, there must be careful consideration when all of this will be used as a lesson.

Besides most "parents" will call it out as a method to promote gambling tendencies at young age.

Financial literacy does not equal to trading. Learning about taxation, how to do savings, assets classes and how to manage them are things that come under financial literacy. Those are important and can be taught and I do support that.

Also people who are running their own businesses or freelances do not depend on the government for money. Even then government jobs are always sought for. And these are often going to lead to stable finances.

It might help some individuals, but it cannot be applied on a larger scale because forex or cryptocurrency trading is more than just knowledge, but also experience, intuition, psychological factors, and several other factors. That's why it's not suitable to be included in the curriculum, because not everyone is suited to this and it can't be standardized to everyone. At most, forex or cryptocurrency trading can be included in extracurricular activities that students can participate in, so only those who are interested can enter the activity.

introducing trading to higher institution is not a problem, provided that they can bear the risk involved in it. trading is complex and will require a highly knowledgeable person who can teach properly for better understanding. but then another thing is that even if trading is introduced to the educational sector, many will not even take it seriously because there are many business opportunity that was thought in the higher institution but was neglected because they have not entered labor market. most student only realized their mistake after graduation and that is when they start becoming serious

People make money from trading but we can't deny the fact that it's a risk... There are other things that that can be taught to help the economy, trading is something should  be a personal decision and not to be introduced as a new subject because it's pointless..not everyone is interested in it, some people see have lost a lot in trading even though others are making profit, it's not something that should be added to the curriculum, it involves taking a lot of risks.. This isn't the solution to to help fix the economy

Not saying trading and Gambling are the same but you can't teach everyone about taking risks, there's a mental maturity an individual should attain before learning about such things. It's a bad idea to add such as a new subjects, instead what should be added is financial management and business. Funny enough we learnt business studies in school from people that didn't have a business. We weren't taught about ideas or what to do to make money. Trading cannot help the economy in the economic situation of a damaged country

Before seeking for this to be introduced to schools also ask yourself how many people are being helped than those that are losing their money because we have many people doing it wrong and losing money instead of them making money hence it mightn't be a wise decision to introduce this new ways of making money that has high risk to schools. I'll be better anyone that's interested in learning should look for how to acquire the knowledge outside the schools as it currently is.

Cryptocurrency trading, Forex trading and other types of trading aren't that easy to learn and when people are being forced to get into it, it might turn out worst than we expected because while we'll be thinking it'll help many people, it can put them into situations that'll be more harmful to them because they keep losing and not giving up on it without realizing their faults.

Doesn't need to be trading. Heck it shouldn't actually be trading really imo. It just has to be with knowing how to read economics, value of stuff (with country to country basis), exports and imports stuff like that. Some deepdive of these topics would probably for business people/entrepreneurs but afaik there's no school path for that since they just do it on their own, but some basics would reaallly be great. And don't give it to people in elementary or highschool. I reckon college would be the best for it since it's part of the things they're stepping on. And add on to that lessons about taxes as well!

But if the government of another country wants to support this trading, I think it would not be wrong if the place itself is a campus or university that already has students. Because the thinking of students is more independent than the thinking of an ordinary student who is still in school, so government support for things like this should be more directed at universities rather than schools because students are still not independent, both in terms of work and thinking.

It would be similar if we proposed to the whole world that no one would have to do anything, we would all live off sports betting. So all we need are athletes, bookmakers, and us who bet! Oh yes, there would be banks and loan sharks too... We are not far from the circus even now, but such a world would be on a zillion times higher level.

Your logic has a few flaws, in trading while one profits, another must lose, and every society needs people who actually create/do something. So it will not work. Bottom line, not everything is for everyone. But I guess people should be free to try it and only with money they can afford to lose...

It seems to me that trading will not be able to help the economy if it is introduced to students, because it doesnt produce anything real. And there are also high risks of not increasing money thanks to trading, but on the contrary, decreasing it, which, on the contrary, will have a negative effect on the economy. Students can be taught the basics of financial literacy, but not trading. That is, it is better to direct students' training to the real sector, which will help the economy.

El Salvador prepares a legal framework first and legal bitcoin there as a transaction tool so that it is much easier to apply. But it is different when this is applied in a country that only receives Bitcoin as an investment asset, more precisely the introduction of investment compared to trade because investment is no more risk of trade.
