I’ve heard a lot of crypto enthusiasts say they can’t be involved in the gamefi industry as much as they used too. Simply because the ecosystem is kinda declining in value with many projects failing and their tokens price dropping and i keep thinking about the reasons the gamefi sector failed despite its huge potential.

I keep thinking could it be lack of interest in investors or could it be the ecosystem is lacking in value because i think gaming projects should come up with more solid ideas rather than the common play-to-earn format.

Seriously, i’v been thinking if AI could solve the problem a bit, i mean if AI is implemented to improve projects use cases beyond the typical P2E then maybe we could see some improvement. Honestly, when i saw this gamefi project, Balance was to list on Binance and Bitget, I thought would this be another project that won’t happen to see the end of the day. Hopefully, the gamefi sector growth increases this year.

Gamefi with the P2E concept at the beginning of its emergence was quite well received because in addition to being able to play but still be able to earn income. It just didn't last long when the P2E concept took longer for users but in terms of income, especially the tokens obtained, it was not comparable to what we spent to buy some special items if we wanted to level up. Maybe AI could provide a solution but for now gamefi developers need to find something different from previous releases which were considered monotonous.

AI or whatever will never change GameFi. We must first know why the GameFi sector is so easily abandoned, as far as my observation, it is because there are more token hunters than users who really enjoy playing. This condition then causes the token price (economic side) to continue to decline. The worse impact of this is that fewer people believe & are confident to invest in GameFi projects.

I think the only way to solve this problem is to make games that people actually enjoy, look at how Roblox & Minecraft are still played by many people even though there's no financial gain from playing them.

I mean what else there can be? Instead of chsnging the play to earn format I think it’s about the concept of the games. The playability and it’s longevity. It should be a game that people would want to play regardless of being paid or not.

Imo, AI could help in making a game look better and be engaging as well. AI might be the key to building a game with its own metaverse. In general, AI could make better games.

Tbh I don't think we could see anything tangible for gamefi except like you said developers think out of thei box.i actually know about balance. They aims to bridge Web2 and Web3 by creating an AI-powered entertainment ecosystem that combines gaming, social interaction, and decentralized infrastructure

A known fact is that the balance team is the same team behind E-PAL, a Web2 gaming companion platform launched in 2018 that has grown to over 4.2 million users and 450,000 active companions. Since they've had success with epal let's see if they could replicate came with balance, but EPT price trend isn't encouraging atm, probably it'll be easier to just farm on Poolx than trade on spot imo

It's not that easy because AI itself requires big data to make something, AI that is trained must have data in advance and not just one game that must be entered into the data, exploring a lot of references so that they can have very good conclusions to make something innovative.

I only see this gamefi will be assisted by AI with a limited capacity, at least the customer service or guide that will be assisted by AI, while the development of the game itself requires human pilots for something more interesting.

How it would be implemented specifically? And what use cases "beyond" P2E?

AI is has taken lot of small script workload from developers already for a long time, but since this is cryptocurrency scene, i am assuming you are talking of some kind of project that tries to ride with AI hype, and frankly those are always horrible ideas.
