Helloo  Smiley

Okay, so i dont know where else to discuss this - Bitcoin has been affected by Trump!!!

Trump’s been in crypto headlines for a while now—whether it’s the NFT drops, rumored wallet activity, or how his political comeback talk seems to stir up Bitcoin sentiment, too. I even saw a chart suggesting BTC price spikes around key Trump-related news cycles. 👀

But that's that - my concern, or rather strange notion, is about the crossover of meme coins being tied to political figures —specifically, Trump and even Melania?

Saw a couple of tokens getting some chatter on X, and it got me wondering…  are we getting ready to see celebs, international figures or so as new crypto mascots???

And how does it impact Bitcoin and the overall shitcoin/ memecoin's hype and all?

I’m not holding any of these, not promoting anything, just genuinely curious—do these projects have value, or was it a stunt act? OR is this just the beginning of a weird narrative phase in crypto?

Hey! Yeah, it’s wild how much politics and crypto are crossing over lately. Those Trump/Melania-themed tokens feel more like hype-fueled stunts than real utility, but they do show how fast crypto narratives shift. Meme coins thrive on attention, and public figures definitely bring that. Doesn’t always affect Bitcoin directly, but it does shake up the broader market vibe. Could totally be the start of a new weird phase, crypto loves its chaos!

Thing is, for years Bitcoin has remained unaffected by shitcoins and memecoins
On the other hand, no matter what number they have reached, no matter how many rug pulls people have encountered, the hype doesn't die, and there is always another one ready to pop

And those who are religiously following BTC might have never looked into meme coin trends and brands, but with this type of progress, does it mean that meme coins will be considered by mass that had been ignoring and avoiding it?

If you have been following Crypto up very well you would notice this is already happening, some with the notice and consent of the celebrities others are scammers using the identities of celebrities.

Trump is the president of America so yes he is very influential and during his campaign he made so many post playing to be Crypto friendly so yes that's the connection but I won't still attribute any success we are seeing in Bitcoin to Trump's policies.

I wish we won't.

Less people will be affected by this craze for easy money.

True!
But what i have seen in the past is scammers USING names of celebs... but no high profile person as such getting involved - so this time its differnt as someone influential coming out openly.

Bitcoin has been affected by Trump!!!

It sucks hearing that people are still with the mentality of Trump being the one behind every market performance of bitcoin, but i must correct this that even the recent fall of the market as it Plummet to $74,000 was not as a result of Trump influence, but other market determinants that are useful in making decision on whether it goes dip or pump were also well considered in situations like this, this has gone beyond the influence of Trump tariff plan, but the market demands and supply shift itself, Trump cannot always be the reason for the performance of bitcoin, if we could see on how bitcoin performed today, we are going to know that its something beyond the influence of the government.

It is really sad to see that cryptocurrency is being used as a tool for the politicians. Shitcoins and memecoins are diverting a lot of attention towards them which is affecting the liquidity flow into the Bitcoin market and it certainly has an impact.

However, memecoins are short-lived. Once the hype dies down, these coins also die. So if I consider long term effect, Bitcoin is positioned well. Whatever impact these memecoins are making, is temporary!

Money grabs.  Ultra rich people are learning that they have the money to support various projects and force them into the mainstream.  Then people seeking to get rich overnight pour money in.  Some make some, most lose all, but the people behind it get rich and then move on to something else, hiring a skeleton crew to keep manipulating their project.

It's sad but this is the state of crypto at the moment.  Nobody wants to build anything and instead they want to get rich and abandon their work.  If you do try to build something legitimate, you will be attacked relentlessly by those who are trying to scam, because you provide an alternative which is unacceptable for scammers.

No doubt BTC will be the last man standing

My POV is that with such attention-grabbing moves will be giving or rather IS giving memecoins more significance.
The other day i was scrolling and saw a new pepe by the name of Fantasy Pepe - and it was on a platform that hasn't listed any meme coins with so much enthusiasm... so yes i feel that the equilibrium has shifted a bit ....

Dont know if its in the best interest considering variations and expansions - or something else?Huh

So why are scammers prevailing and others getting cornered?

Can't something be done - there are sincere people and communities associated with crypto isn't it?

I think this arc happened last year.. Not sure if those memecoins named from a celeb is still a meta today.

Tbh, they earn a lot of money to some shitcoins and yes, they do have value unless it was created by some team under that personality, making you an exit liquidity. If the memecoin is created and pushed organically by the community then it has a value but if it's literally just a shitcoin made by a celeb, maybe fade or don't ride the hype train because it's a money drainer.

I really miss the utility meta right now... Ethereum really needs to pump right now along with Bitcoin. I don't like how things happen in Solana, pure cash grab there but if you're lucky, could be easy money.

I believe this term for the president is outstanding, knowing he is crypto-friendly. Still, his influence on the market is exceptional, knowing it could lead to uncertainty and volatility.

For meme coins, I think they’re just speculative actions that shouldn’t be taken seriously in terms of value because they are just taking advantage of their popularity. I do hope that they’re regulated and not used as scams to rip off investors.

We all know that Bitcoin is the one for the long-term.

One of the fears people did entertain about Bitcoin is that, at some point in the future, there would be a government that would completely outlaw Bitcoin and the rest of the world would follow, creating policies and technologies that would rival what we’ve got in existence today with a purpose to dump Bitcoin.
However, this current dispensation ain’t about that, it’s about cryptocurrency and technology. Which to some extent, renews hope and grants assurance to investors that, Bitcoin would be around for a long time. People tend to gravitate this and are taking the opportunity to enrich themselves real good.

Forget about those shitcoins. They come out every once in a while, but they will also leave eventually. Also, this isn't new. If you look back several years ago, there were already such kinds of coins. There was Putincoin, Beibercoin, Poopcoin, Boobcoin, Titcoin, Jesuscoin, and so on. This shouldn't come as surprise anymore.

Do these projects have value? Nope, none at all. Can you make money out of them? Yeah, but you have to be very careful as these are pump and dump coins.

Those celebrities and popular people know how to use something for their benefit. So that is what happen to crypto especially Bitcoin because Trump can affect the Bitcoin movement. When Bitcoin affect with Trump, the crypto market affect too so we should be careful deciding.

You don't have to hold shitcoins and only hold Bitcoin for your long term investment. The affect of Trump will not stay forever and will only temporary so you don't have to worry with that and focus with your Bitcoin investment. Today, Bitcoin get a good move where the price can increase and stay at $92k.

That is a good news for us and there is a chance for Bitcoin to increase to $100k nearly. If that is happen, we can feel happy because the rally could happen shortly. But we still need to be careful in this situation because anything can happen.

Saw a couple of tokens getting some chatter on X, and it got me wondering…  are we getting ready to see celebs, international figures or so as new crypto mascots???

Its been going on for quite some time already. Usually they are hired by a company (like FTX hiring Tom Brady, for example) to promote their product, but every once in a while a celebrity endorses Bitcoin on their own accord. Thanks to the help of Grok, I compiled this list of celebrities that independently endorsed BTC

Ashton Kutcher
Snoop Dogg
Mike Tyson
Elon Musk
Mark Cuban
Kanye West
50 Cent
Akon
Aaron Rodgers

Then you have the whole slew of celebrities that have launched memecoins under their name, and they are all pump n dumps without exception.

do these projects have value, or was it a stunt act? OR is this just the beginning of a weird narrative phase in crypto?

What you mentioned are definitely stunt acts, and every narrative phase gets weirder than the one before it.

Yes, we cannot deny that Bitcoin has been somewhat influenced by Trump recently, and we have witnessed an improvement in the industry as a whole since Trump took office due to his support for Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. However, to me, there is no correlation between Bitcoin and Trump or any other influential figure.

Trump will go, but Bitcoin will remain. Bitcoin is stronger than all these presidents who use their influence to attract people to buy junk coins. These memes created by influencers have greatly harmed the industry, both by draining liquidity from good coins and by the bad reputation they have inflicted on cryptocurrencies as a result of pump-and-dump operations.

Trump’s been in crypto headlines for a while now—whether it’s the NFT drops, rumored wallet activity, or how his political comeback talk seems to stir up Bitcoin sentiment, too. I even saw a chart suggesting BTC price spikes around key Trump-related news cycles. 👀

Yup.. the way BTC is making its way and replacing fiat currency in many places.. its likely that there is no end to it.

A gamble for the gamble, and they should be overlooked to keep the person's funds - safe. No other way around it.

I agree.

So why are scammers prevailing and others getting cornered?
Can't something be done - there are sincere people and communities associated with crypto isn't it?
Because even though they are technically scamming people but they are not legally scamming anyone! And when they are not breaking any laws, nothing can be done about them. This is why shittoken creation has gotten this widespread that even president of US is creating a shittoken and scams people with it!
