It might be a cool idea if
1) You had theymos' blessing that the form wanted this done and were willing to get behind it.
2) You shared the profits from sales with the forum.

As it is now I don't see anything about how the profits will be used, so I can only assume that you created these shirts just to make money from this community.  I don't think many people would support that to be honest, but if you put in some effort and made some contacts that are in charge of the forum, maybe you would find a different outcome.

Thanks for your feedback. You right would have be a much better strategy to get in touch with the forum mods before publishing it. Is definitely possible, and we'll be happy to support the forum with the profits. We keep pricing to the lowest near to production, so there isn't much profit. Just wanted to have the idea delivered and receive some feedback.

For some reason, none of the links in the opening posts seem to work!
^{- BTW, have you done anything with regards to what OgNasty mentioned in the past? IMO, regardless of the profits being little to nothing, theymos's permission should always come first (assuming that you'd be continuing with current designs).}

Thanks for the reminder, yes I've actually send a PM to Cyrus and hilariousandco just after OgNasty mentioned the previous time, but no response received. Sent to them both because with my newbie mind I saw they are moderators in the forum. I'll message theymos and see what he thinks. Happy to delete if this infringes some copyright or cause other issues. We did it with the best intentions and because we did not find any merch for the forum ourselves so we decide to make it and to check if there was any interest from others too.

If he didn’t respond, I doubt he cares that you are selling these items. I don’t think you need to stop offering them, it would just receive a lot more support if it were authorized.

Yes, no response yet. Maybe he just don't care? I would not mind find any way to collaborate or contribute to the forum

It would be a good idea to receive similar merch from bitcointalk for participating in various contests. Then it would have "value": a T-shirt with the BTC-logo received from this forum.

What you're doing can be done at almost any studio: provide the logo and text, and they'll put it on any merch. A product purchased from you and one ordered locally won't be fundamentally different, as it won't have any "intrinsic value" (much like btc ).

I also suggest immediately putting a red crosshair\target on top of the BTC-logo , as wearing merch with this logo will attract the attention of ill-wishers locally.

This merch is only acceptable to wear at home; otherwise, in the outside world, where the prevailing opinion is that anyone with a bitcoin is a millionaire, some problems may arise.

That's a great idea and thank you for making us realize this detail. Do you think organize a give away will be a good start? What other contests or events could they be offered with?

Ahahah I should do a pajama, LOL! I agree for some it might be seen in this way. But in the other site it could be safely worn at bitcoin events, conferences, meetups, dinner with other bitcoiners.
