Wow, this is really great information to know. More holders mean growing trust in Bitcoin. Even though there have been some downtrends, more people are still committed to long-term holding. I think this helps strengthen Bitcoin, and maybe we won’t see those massive dumps like we’ve seen in the past. This movement is probably being led by institutional investors. Their actions likely give individual investors more confidence to hold, especially since they don’t panic easily. It’s normal for Bitcoin to have sharp drops, but just like what happened earlier this year - it almost dropped to $60K, and now we’re back around the $90K range. Looks like we’re entering a bullish phase again. (hoping...) I’m not the best at reading charts, but you can check it out from this source. https://www.coindesk.com/markets/2025/04/24/long-term-bitcoin-holders-show-commitment-buy-more-btc-than-short-term-holders-selland these are also the the information we should know abou the topic. What to know: Long-term investors' holdings have increased by 635,340 BTC since January, absorbing more than what's been distributed by short-term holders, at a 1.38:1 accumulation ratio.
Despite a rebound in the bitcoin price, 2.6 million BTC remain at a loss reflecting lingering overhead resistance from investors who bought above $95,000.

With every new bull/bear cycle, more and more people decide to hodl bitcoin for the long term and that’s why there will always be a floor price for btc.
If btc makes a dip it will always be a buying opportunity.
We only need to hodl it long enough to enjoy our profits. Everything else you hear is nothing but noise. If you get distracted by the noise, you’ll make mistakes and lose your stash.

It is more trusting to know that strong hands keep increasing on bitcoin. These revelation begin to happen as bitcoin starts getting the vibes again as volume begin to increase with tariff cut .
However, the dump will happen so long as correction will also take place at a certain time just as we have gotten out of it and probably to complete the bull circle. Bitcoin has a historical circle of doubling a previous ATH and maybe we are on that phase to get to $150k for an ATH.

The market was never in the bear season. That dump was caused by Trump increase in tariff, but as you can see those news can only affect the market temporarily. However, it's a norm that more whales will join the bitcoin accumulation train to hodli for long as a lot of them are investing in bitcoin to safeguard their asset from inflation.
Fiat is losing its value overtime, which has made investors, institutions, tech firms and even government see bitcoin as a good place to throw some value into because bitcoin is becoming a safe haven asset.

So many holders sold their coins when Bitcoin price reach $100K, but they were not wrong because Bitcoin price went to $76K-$80K which they can use that moment to accumulate Bitcoin.
Long term holders will not stop to hold, the peak ATH in this super cycle will happen in Q4 this year, that's why people still accumulate Bitcoin or hold until now.
I'm curious whether we will see another short dump after tariffs implementation or the market wouldn't care because we already know it will happen.

Now it is clear but we also can’t deny that bear run will come. It doesn’t mean that bitcoin will crash a lot or to 0 but it will also decline at times even without manipulation from Trump or other political leaders. It’s just something that we have to accept because nothing much we can do. But it’s less scary now because bitcoin has less chances of crashing to near to 0 because of long term holders. You just need to have confidence that bitcoin will come back stronger.

Now the fear got a bit down and put on the second place, and everybody sees the opportunity to pour liquidity back in - hopefully, it will stay that way.

It's normal for ppl to trade when the market's hot. Investors buy & sell because they're following market patterns. I can't afford to buy bitcoin but ppl who did for $95k they're remaining on losses they don't have options so they'll wait. Any investor that bought bitcoin at $95k and plans to holdi for long term is not at loss and waiting was the plan. If you're not a trader, why would you bother on the price that you bought bitcoin, when we know that $109k isn't the highest price that bitcoin will reach in future. Hodlers will always buy bitcoin at any given price provided they have the plan to increase their bitcoin portfolio overtime. No matter how dip bitcoin price is, if you don't sell below your entry point, you are not at loss.

Bitcoin's values bring it the respect and users it has - it's pretty obvious why it becomes only more relevant as time goes on.

Exactly, we have always been in the bull run since this year. The market only reacted to the dumps by weak hands due to the FUD created by Trump. But the market has started rebounding since the 90-day pause in the tariff war. Both long-term and short-term investors are important parts of the Bitcoin ecosystem. When the weak hands are dumping strong hands are given the opportunity to buy at a discounted price. Some of these institutional investors are now aware of the reliability and profitability of Bitcoin, and that is why they are accumulating.

The market can not have long-term holders if it does not have short-term holders, hence I'd like to say both short-term and long-term holders are important contributors for Bitcoin strength.
Every long-term holder has to start as a short-term holder and each new bull run of Bitcoin market especially an Euphoria phase of each bull run do need appearances and participation of short-term holders. Some of them intentionally and confidentially become long-term holders, but some unintentionally stuck in the market and luckily tested by bear market, grow up and become long-term holders.
Long-term holders are market participants that stay in bear market very determinantly and they are very important in hardest months of each market cycle while short-term holders will contribute more fuel and capital to help market rising more speedily in bull run.

Because almost most people realize that holding bitcoin for the long term can bring profits more optimally, so it is quite natural that in the end many of us are trying to become strong hands by continuing to hold the bitcoin owned.
Even though consciously or not that people who are in crypto are quite diverse where some are in shitcoin, altcoin, bitcoin, trading or even becoming long-term investors, I am quite sure that the longer it takes, in the end people who are in bitcoin for the long term will get bigger so for this I am not too surprised if in the future there will be a much more increasing graph of this.
We know that bitcoin's journey of just over a decade has been extraordinary so there is great hope for a future where bitcoin surpasses what we expect so it is not wrong when many hodlers and strive to continue to be a strong hand with their bitcoin holdings.

Yeah, long-term hodlers are the strength of the market. They're the reason why there's scarcity. The more long-term hodlers there are, the fewer available coins there will be. The fewer coins available, the higher the price goes in the face of a rising demand. People are competing against each other for an asset that has a limited supply, so that they're willing to outbid each other.
Furthermore, for good and for bad, it's also the hodlers who somehow keep the transaction fees low. They aren't spending their coins. The more hodlers there are, the lower the fees would be since there won't be competition in the network.

If you think that way, and if it's true, then that's actually a good thing. It means we've already gone through the bear season and we might be heading back into a bull season. Normally, the bear season lasts a long time, and we still haven’t hit $100k yet, so we're still in a critical stage where a dump could happen anytime. What I just want to highlight from the article I shared is the bigger picture: more people are holding Bitcoin, and holding means trust. That shows Bitcoin is getting stronger, and it won’t be easy to dump it now. Since the all-time high was around $100k, if this strength is real, Bitcoin probably won’t drop back to $50k or lower anymore.

Yeah, we hope no drop for the price and only increase although that is for a little by little. We need to happy to see what happen to Bitcoin as the price now is back to $90,000 level but you need to be careful because the price get another correction.
Long term holder will take the benefit of their Bitcoin investment because in this current situation, they will just buy back more to increase their Bitcoin amount. They will not wait for longer to buy because they can miss that chance if they delay it.
If holder can still hold their Bitcoin and not panic with the current situation, maybe the market will not shaking to the lower price. The price can sustain in the current price and wait for the time to increase.

But honestly, I don’t think this whole tariff war will affect Bitcoin that much. The long-term investors trust it because they believe fiat money might lose value or get hit hard by inflation but Bitcoin won’t. That’s what I believe too.
