The moment I don't have to do any work aside just investing my money and expecting a fixed amount paid to me over a period of time especially when the amount looks too good to be ignored then, my suspicions are always very high because I've been taught that nothing good which is supposed to last will just come with no strings attached.

That’s what most people want isn’t it? To not do any work, rather seat down there and keep earning money because they had a little deposit they did put in somewhere and to think of it, the profit is usually high.
Since they know you want it, they sell it to you and most people would buy in that idea so, the Ponzi scheme grows.

Having to identify these signs and back off is usually the best thing anyone can do for themselves otherwise, its always a matter of time before you loose your money.

I do not know if it is greed, or if our people just ignore all obvious signs of a ponzi.
Yes, it's greed. people you see falling victims to these ponzi schemes are already aware of these signs. But they intentionally neglect them, hoping to eventually be  profitable before these scammers carry out their shady activities. That's why you'll hear things like "this one na still new update".

In my opinion, reviews are very important factor to consider too. Once I check your rating on trust pilot and Google review, I'll have a clue of the kind of organisation I am dealing with. Although, not 100% reliable but it has helped me escape so many scam scheme.
Greed is an under statement, some people are too lazy and all what they want is an easy ride to riches without stress, so even when they see all the signs they choose to ignore as they are overly carried away and see it as the opportunity that are looking for, funny enough many they don't just put little money, they go all in and sometimes they borrow so they could have the highest profit than others, no means of making good money easy, so any means that proves itself to be easy is already a bad sign that should not be ignored regardless of how true it looks.

Didn't you see how many Nigerians rushed to buy Dangote IPO, that's same way they rush ponzi schemes especially when they hear that a prominent figure is also investing. I was hearing someone saying that Otedola bought a huge number of the Dangote IPO and that's his motivation that if someone like Otedola can invest that they too can invest but they didn't understand these are rich men doings so an ordinary person is not supposed to use them as a motivation because they are people that has been making investments for years and have encountered many losses before they finally won. When they're investing they calculate their risks to kmow if the risk is minimal.

If you think about it, he's right to an extent cause so many schemes have come and gone and they successfully drained people, mostly the poor. Rich people don't invest in schemes the bad ones launch schemes to drain the poor while legit ones invest in proven investments like Bitcoin, Gold etc.

Don't say that rich people don't invest in scheme because they do and even do more than the poor just that the rich don't make noise as that of the poor when they profit or lost from the scheme, people launch scheme to drain both from the poor and the rich infact, the rich are even the main targets and not the poor. However, every risk taken should be calculative either from the poor or from the rich by ensuring that if things go as planned you can still have your life put together, this is because we have heard of stories where people take their own life after a failed scheme.

Ponzi schemes looks too real to be truth. How can you get into an investment, and you just do nothing while you get paid.

Just because people need to level up financially, scammers use it as an opportunity to scam people through too good projects that seems too enticing and it becomes too difficult to resist. What baffles me is the way they package the investment to make it look so attractive that you can't say no, especially for those who are eager to make money with all means. They are just criminals.

If it looks too good good to be true, them am not involved.
If it demands money to start first, and they are approaching you for it, then there is a problem.

You see that referral of a thing, even for apps or brands, if you have to make doing a referral as one of the criteria for using your platform then you're either not serious or you just want to scam me, cause if the product is good, trust me, you don't have to tell me to tell my friends, like of course I want good things for them, so of course I would refer them to you if you're product is good and certainly not for the benefit of a reward but if the brand wants to give out rewards for referrals, it should be as a bonus feature not some requirements to join or use the platform.

Actually you are not far from the truth, there are different sign that raise a red flag about scammers but people ignore them out of selfish reason or greed. The sign are often obvious because it comes with pattern. The pattern are as listed by op. But among the 3 sign you listed, the most common one is big offer. Scammers always find way to convince people into believing in what they say and this promise comes with offer, the offer is to invest now and get your return within the shortest period of time, but people fall for this scammers because they fail to read and understand the warning signs. The big offer often overshadowed their sense of reasoning until they get scammed before they realize.

Most victims of these Ponzi schemes know about these red flags, they will know that they will get scammed if they put in their money because it usually sound too good to be true be sure you don’t expect any investment to give profit just like that within short period of time, but greed and eagerness to make money as quick as possible will push them to try their luck with the aim of being the first users that will get their money withdrawn, and once they put in their money, that’s all.

The only people that avoid Ponzi schemes are people that are doing well for themselves, and some people that don’t want to out themselves into any problem because some people borrow money to put in Ponzi schemes just to find a means of generating their own money which is very wrong because it’s a money they can’t afford to lose.

The country is hitting it hard on the poor and the government made it to be so in other for them to be respected by the poor people, they made the country economy to be difficult for the poor so for this the poor masses always found anything that promise quick profits as an opportunity to get out from poverty but unknowingly to them that they are putting them self into more trouble of losing out the little they have to scammers who clam to be a real investors, the signs are obvious that people are supposed to noticed that it's another ponzi scheme because these things almost occur every year, i believe by next year another different one will come up and people will still fall for their tricks.

I do not know if it is greed, or if our people just ignore all obvious signs of a ponzi. No matter how much ponzi organizers try to disguise and hide that they are not a ponzi, there are some common basic signs that gives them away.

Don't go there oh because there're still very well organized Ponzi schemes whose illegal obligations can't be identified not until there's a leakage whereas, someone has been victimized.
The story of the MMM should be a clear reference that had existed with a legitimate picture for an entire 1 year before it got crashed.
Then you would not see any figure of scam as they were also patient allowing investor's to cash out while they were nurturing the platform user's trust's to attract more investor's attention.
I'll agree with you to an extend because the past experiences had real thought lessons that we now becomes skeptical at every unknown or unverified source of investment as well we've also been witnessed in the crypto space.

That bolded part caught my attention. There's no way around it, there must be pain before gain. Indeed laziness has blindfolded many people in this country that they always go for the easy way out. The very first day I heard of CBex was when I went to refill my cylinder at a gas station. The operator introduced me to the site but I refused to sign up, reason being because there were no positive review about them ( both in Google review and trustpilot). I persuaded her to quit the so called investment scheme but she didn't listen. Now she is regretting because she incurred enormous losses.

The problem is that people fail to do little research/investigation on the platforms they invest their money and this naive approach to things makes them learn the hard way.

Ponzi schemes are getting more organized in their mode of operation this days but one thing still stands out the same quick and high returns. They promise outrageous profits and often operate only online luring gullible people, they even go as far as registering as subsidiary’s of trusted businesses. They use referral systems to get people to bring others in to the scheme in order for them to claim fake bonuses. It is important to do proper research before making any financial decisions so you done fall for these criminals.
They are advancing, and some businesses which operate today are Ponzi schemes in a new-fashioned way. For now, it’s still being covered with their temporary system until when it will crash. Imagine some investment and real estate companies which are running a business model promising investors high returns and have been paying almost equal to what they promised, but those money is not actually coming from business proceeds but from other investors. funds, until new investors stop putting in money will they get exposed.

It's high time people come to understand that there's nothing like free money or something for nothing. People are the cause of their misfortune, someone brings a non-existent company and starts selling investments and they jump right at it because the ROI is high, without taking their time to verify the existence of that platform. Most of these Ponzi sites even go to the extent of uploading fake licenses, but it is the duty of anyone who intends investing in any platform to check for the integrity and originality of their existence. Ponzi scheme thrives on greedy and desperate people and the creators knows that those people always exists, so they always craft the next offer to lure them in.

But no matter how a ponzi scheme tries to advance this days, it's core characteristics properties of promising investors huge returns of investment within a certain period of time and also the usual claims of being a part of a foreign international investment film  will literally not change at all,as all these will be very obvious to any individual is security conscious with his funds. Because one big question people do fail to ask is how do these Ponzi scheme do generate those funds they always claim to give as profits, if not by taking from A to give to B.

If you think about it, he's right to an extent cause so many schemes have come and gone and they successfully drained people, mostly the poor. Rich people don't invest in schemes the bad ones launch schemes to drain the poor while legit ones invest in proven investments like Bitcoin, Gold etc.

This IPO might not be bad the way many people anticipated. The IPO is a way for company to raise money and list shares on the market. The challenge is that Dangote has failed in many business, some of the IPO he did back in 2007 has failed, some where delisted but this refinery IPO is different, even the company is different, the oil company is different from others.

Some IPO has failed, not just him alone but I think that oil is a global investment and as long as his company continues to work, it will remain functioning and will be profitable.

How can you get into an investment, and you just do nothing while you get paid.
That alone is enough reason to call the said dude in order. But no, greed wouldn't let him do that till he finally learn some hard lessons then he will understand better.

There is a saying that said. If mugu fall guy man go chop. Scammer's has already knows their weaknesses (greed), and for this reason decide to monetize it without any hesitation. The golden rule make it clear and for us to understand that once any offer look more attractive or irresistible, then there is more to it that is yet to be uncovered and at that point common sense is needed else you become a victim.

If it looks too good good to be true, them am not involved.
If it demands money to start first, and they are approaching you for it, then there is a problem.
No legit stuff will demand for money, as in making it mandatory or set you on some unnecessary pressure. One it's spotted, Just run for for your safety
