I’m just wondering if you guys feel the same way, or if it’s just me.

There’s this “always think positive” mindset when I’m gambling... but honestly, the results aren’t always positive.
Sometimes, because of that positive thinking, I get overconfident.
Even when I’m supposed to stop, like I already hit my limit, stil I keep pushing, thinking, "It’s okay, its just a rough start, I can still end up winning."
But instead, I just end up losing more.

Gambling is for entertainment purposes which means you should play with positive thinking in able enjoy the game. You are just punishing yourself if you are negative while playing because you are denying already the possibility of winning on your game.

Being positive means you can appreciate every small win that you will experience while gambling and can boost your general gambling experience when you are done playing.

People usually say that "think positive" phrase when someone is going through something difficult. It is to keep people from spiraling down any further. Usually people do not become overconfident when they hear that "think positive" because they did not have a lot of confidence from the start and they are just trying to prevent themselves from becoming too depressed so they want to think positive.

In that case, that is not just thinking positively but more like delusion. There is a difference between false optimism and just trying to make things lighter for yourself. You also have to evaluate if you are already losing too much and when is the time to stop.

This topic is similar to most topics I have seen here. And what i said there i will always repeat again; gambling is beyond the mindset. Whether you think positively or you think negatively it won't change the outcome of your bet. You can be confident on your bet but gradually losing all your money so if you are aware of the stop limit then you should start now to be disciplined. It is not the mindset that made you kept on gambling it is because you lack discipline. If you have paused and reflect back to the disadvantages of chasing your loss, I know you will stop gambling for a while.

No I won't gamble that way. I won't be thinking positive while in my face I'm taking wrong decision. I should be able to make myself to stop when I have gotten to my limit and not to be positive to keep playing while I'm still losing. It is not a good strategy that way. You won't see fire and keep tasting if it burns because it will surely burn you. Therefore, what to do is to stop when you have gotten to a limit and not to stretch your limit which amounts to forcing the game to your favour which will not happen.

Gamble responsibly and that includes not to be positive when you have taken wrong gambling decision at all times. You can be positive when you have made mistake in a particular bet and you become hopeful to be lucky but you don't have to intentionally take a wrong decision everytime you are gambling and you become hopeful. Gamble as you can bear is the positive thinking I think that is reasonable.

If we don't have that hope then we wouldn't choose to gamble at all.

When we win, we go for more wins and when we lose we go for the chasing of lost bet amount and these things are very common in gambling, the rare thing is when people lose their entire balance and deposit more to win the lost amount is the point that can be a concern and if you are not doing that, and following the responsible gambling then it's good.

I knew it, there are players who think the same way I did. If I'm having a green streak that sometimes even I was amazed for getting little to no red, I will think I can do it continuously, which usually leads to disaster. I don't know, even after losing, after calming down, I'm back with positivity again thinking I will win the next time I play, and so on and so forth. Well, at least that's better compared to not even starting to play and already thinking you're going to lose. Then, it’s better not to play at all if one is thinking negatively before starting.

Of course, we should always be thinking positive when we gamble, even at times that we felt that we are losing already, there's nothing better than to keep a healthy thoughts that we might going to win.

Like for let's say when you playing slots, you do think that the next reel will be a bonus round or it will give you a lot of wildcard so that you can win big. And even if you lose though, I mean just treat it as just another day and maybe it's not for you to win.

Yeah, it one thing to think positive and keep your hopes up while another to apply the right risk management strategy, it would be wrong to think positive or see only the benefits of gambling without acknowledging the fact that wining isn't a certainty when it come to gamble. Keeping  hope alive is one of the excuses many addicted gamblers have used to ruin their lives. Don't get me I'm not saying it's bad to keep your hopes up, what I mean is, even as you're doing that, never forget to apply the right risk management like gambling with only what you can afford to loose.  Gamble is a tricky game, and if you don't know how to play it with full consciousness of what might hit you if you make the wrong decisions, then you're inviting terrible losses.

I think this is just about normal for most gamblers to really think positive when they play and that the next outcome of the game will be favorable to them. But in any case, this could also be very bad because you might think that being positive will be enough which is very wrong. And then you might go for another set, let's say in a roulette and bet either black or red.

One more try and that's it. But then again, after you win, you are going to continue and play and that positive mindset will push you. And then after that, you end up losing everything you have. So we really need to think logically.

Everyone has positive thoughts while gambling. If there were positive thoughts while gambling, people would not participate in gambling. People would always think negatively and stay away from gambling. However, even if there are positive thoughts while gambling, it is not right to be overconfident in gambling because overconfidence can lead to danger not only in gambling but in any activity. I have always accepted gambling as entertainment and am using gambling as entertainment. If I win a bet, I never participate in gambling again because overconfidence and excessive greed can be very dangerous for me, not only for me but for every gambler.

It is always good to stay positive about whatever you do, but it should be done accordingly. Being optimistic should not push you to increase your gambling budget. Positive thinking is not an excuse to chase losses or borrow to gamble. Even when you have a positive it doesn't set aside the fact that you cannot control the outcome of the games. Gambling is not a job, so even a sound analysis and skills combined with determination will not guarantee a win even if the you have a positive mindset.

When it comes to gambling I don't think it has anything to do with positivity or negativity. Gambling is just having an outcome that favours you or doesn't favour you. I have heard a lot of people talk about how positivity works for them in gambling little so they know that it's just luck, like you said, this feeling is capable of making anyone feel overconfident which is something that can ruin you easily.

I think it's within our minds already carved about being positive at most times. Even if the situation is at worse, we tend to think positive about it. And the same goes when we're gambling, it's nothing actually compared to how much we bet and that's the reason why we are just overconfident at most times because we don't think that the situation that we're dealing with when we're losing is serious at all. I've been in that situation for so many times and until, I'm bringing that to myself that I should just think positive and the next bet might get me a win but I am not forgetting to control myself.

It's okay to be positive but don't become delusional. They say having a positive energy attracts good things and your believe also matters but again this shouldn't make you overconfident, gambling doesn't really work like that. If you continue like this you will only end up losing more. Be positive in the sense that you believe that you are going to get something out of it but this doesn't mean that you should be wreckless with your bets otherwise you are going to keep losing, luck comes on it's own it can't be chased

Excessive positive thinking is also not good for gambling bro. We can always think positively when dealing with someone or with personal life conditions. But positive thinking for gambling, will make you regret more when you lose more and more. There must be a limit to gambling so that we don't spend too much time and money. Losing and winning must have a limit when gambling. If you lose and exceed the limit, stop positive thinking. Maybe next time, even though gambling without any hope and positive thoughts you can win.

Negative or positive thinking doesn't change the outcome of a slot or sportsbet. The reels are going to spin what they spin or the teams playing are going to do what they do.

Thinking positive is only how much you are being entertained by the game. If your team is winning you'll be happy and vice versa if losing. Same with slots.

There's nothing wrong in playing with positive, always expect the best even if you don't end up getting it but you still need to be very careful while doing this because too much confidence kills...if you hit your limit then it's advisable to stop instead of still trying to push your luck... gamble to entertain yourself and have a positive mindset while doing this but when you start chasing or becoming too greedy then you are allowing yourself to get obsessed with it.

You may have to distinguish positive thinking from being out of control. You actually can't control your emotions, but you cover them up by always thinking positively.
If you think positively after you lose, then you will think about tomorrow's luck, not continuing the game, and then a bigger loss.
Sometimes we do have good intentions, but we put ourselves in the wrong place.
