What do you check for when trading premarket ?

The crypto market is currently bullish rn, and i’m finally feeling optimistic again. I won’t lie i’ve been thinking about premarket trading lately because the past few ones i traded made me good returns.

I’ve seen there’s mixed sentiment when it comes to trading tokens on premarket and i can’t overlook the fact that it’s highly risky but when i check the technicals, the volume and liquidity of the token i have in mind, it has helped me a long way. Also, most especially its usecase. I remember when i traded Grass on premarket, the return was quite good, recently went for Initia and now I’m thinking of getting my hands on Sign after realizing, it’s powers tools like TokenTable.

But what would you check for, if you were to trade a token on premarket today ?

Total supply, the project's market maker, roadmap, and whether the project is an L1.

As of now, the only projects that can have big FDV and yet keep rallying are L1, I've seen IP, BERA, and now INIT all of them can rally even after massive airdrop dumping.
So, I think if I were to invest into premarket I'd choose project like these, other project will automatically out of my investing list.

But I won't bet too much on pre market though, too much manipulations since it got small volume, unless the coin is truly under priced in the pre market.

Thank you for this…i never specifically focused on L1 projects on premarket before but you mentioning now kind of made me realize that’s also a smart way of choosing. I mostly check for the project’s usecases, volume and liquidity, i later checked Sign on Bitget premarket, it’s been performing fairly well but won’t compare it yet with the past successes.

I do pre market if the project has utilities and the hype around it is genuine and not generic..

For sign it seems it listed 60% above the pre market price, which is good imo..

Usually I will check the trading volume of the token, price history is in 1 month, and if they have social media, check their posts, to find out what they are working on, but this is if I trade on a token that is relatively new, if I trade on a token or coin that is already quite stable and has a high trading volume on many big exchanges, then only look at the price movement within a certain period of time.

Premarket is pretty tricky and very risky. During the times I traded, I didn't even bother with the technicals because the tokens were prone to manipulation. Trade premarket tokens is almost similar to trading Solana meme coins that have just be listed on dexscreener or dextools

You just have to be lucky to buy and sell the right token at the right time, and that has happened to me sometimes. I think I also got lucky with GRASS too, but I sold if off too quickly. Other tokens like SMILE, COOK etc I made losses.

In the end, you may only gamble with the new project and risking your money without know if you can make a profit or not.

That’s why you don't have to be curious on buying any token when you have not make all the necessary research of the token, because if don't make a search and know at least the average potential of the token I don't think that you maybe able to if the token will survive or not after listed, it's obvious that the sponsors of a token will determine if a token will survive or not, that's why it's very important to make findings on any token before you purchased, because you can purchase at higher rate and after awhile the market value crash

Actually your right, but the thing is that if make a proper research very well, it will make you to have some insights of what the project is all about, and that will also make you to have a limits on what you're investing on, knowing the gravity of  the survival of the project....you have already said it all, that we should invest in what we can afford to lose, so if the project turns good we accept and if it turns bad we will deliberately accept it.

Actually pre market have bad impact for any coins when already officially listing at market, I found many coins have pre market listing get dump drastically with official listing and never find any coins have higher price from premarket listing. Premarket can be a reference for coin prices when listed later, there are even some coins that can be cheaper than the premarket price, for the premarket price itself is not stable, just like the coin price after listing on the market. When there is a certain moment the price can go up but only lasts a few moments before listing, the price is certain to go down.
It is highly not recommended to buy coins during premarket because many coins are priced way below expectations during premarket compared to after listing. It is better to buy after listing than to take the risk of buying during premarket.

When it comes to premarket experiences then i can say that i do made out some profits and made out some loses. The primary risks or problem that you would be able to encounter is on that losing money that you had invested. We do know that not all will be able to made out some jump and also its a bit hassle that there will be that some sort of collateral or what. Lets talking about the probabilities on losing up tons of money on which not all pre-market prices are that accurate since not all projects will be that similar on the moment that they do get listed or having that TGE on exchangers. This is why if you have decided on investing on premarket then it will be that up to you. I have made out myself hanging out with those new projects on whales,market. The only issue on here is that whether you had that accept out the risks involved on dealing up with assets on which it didnt touch up on centralized platforms first. So taking up such further step isnt something that will be that so easy.When it comes to checking then the primary thing that needs up to do is on how you do made out some analysis, whether it will be giving out that failure or would be come that a success. In live trading, where you have to analyze a coin, when you go to trade in the pre-market, you have to analyze different aspects. When the pre-market first started to launch various exchanges, you could make very good profits. But currently, most of the coins listed in the pre-market are much lower when they start trading. So only sellers are getting more profit than buyers from the market. Trading in the pre-market is much riskier than live trading. One problem here is that it takes about 2-4 hours to release the coin you buy from the pre-market, due to which even though you can make a profit according to the starting price of trading, when the coins are released, the possibility of loss is more than profit. So in the current context, I am not very excited about the pre-market.

I am not sure about pre-market, you mean here like it is before traditionally stock exchanges open? Because in crypto, you can trade 24/7, anytime.

But for me, I always tend to check price trends, support and resistance levels, volume (this is important).

To add more, the other disadvantage is lack of transparency in aspect of the technical side of the project, devs can still change around the tokenomic putting pre market buyers at risk and if the developers are somewhat grifty, they can inflate total supply and your money become 1/10 of what it is supposed to be since you're already in buying contract that will be fulfilled in the future.

I can't see how people can make money in pre market other than pure speculation.

Doing this is likely pushing yourselves to such great risk.

I'd still remember those days when NFTs and meme coins were hyped. Many traders found it difficult to sell their tokens because nobody was buying after a few days of launching. That is why it is not advisable for new traders. But if you have a long experience in trading and with this kind of approach, you can make money from it.

 - Being listed on top exchanges is a big factor, but this won't guarantee it will take longer. Many were still turning to scams.

It's still becomes really necessary for anyone to get prepared and look out for factors that likely relevant and related to engaging in stuffs that wouldn't be of huge risks speculations.

Usually for trading market feature allocated much percent of coins supply for their community from airdrop hunter until developer teams holding above 50% more coins supply. For my self, not really interested for trading coins at pre market have much experienced when listing at market price drop drastically than price of pre market listing. Important to check detail about coins already at pre market listing have bigger reward for airdrop allocated or not? there are fairly distributed for airdrop hunter regarding many project already at pre market listing but when release official listing price get down significant.
High risk when trading at pre market coins after checking almost 70% coins have pre market listing getting down when listing at market, usually premarket coins taken longer time until listing and you need get longer patience for getting profitable or coins already to sell. Better buying coins at pre sale or trading coins already listing at market than take risk from pre market coins trading.
