Your suspicion was right. The live RTP is the main reason why you experienced that brutal loss. I have same experience like that on different provider that a bonus buy doesn’t convert anything significant aside from the breakeven result as only win.

There are sometimes that the game will not just favour someone, this could be what that happened. But it you continue to play the game like let us say tomorrow and next tomorrow, it is possible that the RPT caused it.

Higher RPT ones will be better, but also a game volatility should be considered if you want frequent wins but do not be expecting 10000x in such games.

The reason I started this topic is to know your thoughts and if it’s weird because I have never seen such a brutal loss without any good return. Adding to that some Bonuses in this same session were not directly bought but after spending more than 100 spins to get the three books as scatters in other slots, just to end up with a return under 40x.

Now, I wonder if I kept playing the same slot will at least get me some good returns, not to recover all the losses but at least a 500x win in the next 5 bonuses. I know it’s gambling but can you guess the chance of this happening.

Low RTP could be the cause, but it's not entirely true. It could just be that you're just unlucky. As far as I can see from Bigwinboard, Fire Portals has a lower RTP than Gates of Olympus 1000 which even has a maximum win of 15,000x bet.

For the platform itself, I mean 1Win, I tried playing there because it was a ticket to go to a saturday poker tournament & so far I've been playing on this platform, I haven't had any wins that make me want to keep playing, yesterday I spent almost $300, no big wins or anything surprising. I have to say that it is common thing in Pragmatic game especially when the game is on its freeze mode (live RTP below its default RTP too much).
Then, Fire Portal itself is a type of game where big win is quite hard even if the live RTP is good enough.
I would suggest you to avoid any Pragmatic games with 10,000x max win, better to choose games with 5000x max win or even the ones with 15,000x or more.
Of course luck is also important thing as always, so if  you have done like 10x bonus buy in a game but most result is bad, better to move to other game.
Never think that the more bonus buys you do continuously will give you better chance to win later.

slots are slots period. Most of the time you are going to lose money on a bonus buy, doesn't really matter the provider. Yes you can get a decent hit, but most times it will not even get you even for the day. Go search online and read about land based casinos and how they keep their lights on, you will probably see a reference to the slots are how the casinos pay their bills. They're for suckers.

With that being said, if you are going to play a slot I would consider Hacksaws or No limit City. You'll lose a lot on bonus buys but when they hot they pay much better and have more potential then the Pragmatic provider.

You mentioned the name of the casino, that is indirectly you are saying the RTP on 1Win casino is terrible. Trust me when I say it has nothing to do with the casino you are using to gamble. At times things don't go the way you plan them to be. Not because you have received a more preferable RTP from other casino as a result of luck you feel it has to be the same when you gamble with every casino. You were unlucky when you gamble using 1Win casino which is why you did not win neither your RTP was higher. Another gambler will tell you how profitable he has been while playing the same casino game you play in the exact casino.

If the casino is licensed, they most likely disclose to their customers the RTP configuration they have. We know that there’s different kinds of RTP configuration and licensed casinos can’t just choose their own because it depends on the rules and regulations which they should follow.

I've been experience this on Pragmatic play slots my worst experience I only got a 5x combo, so it is not worth it to buy a bonus over doing it manually or automatically and hitting the bonus because I win in auto sometimes in manual and the RTP is higher than in buying bonus.

Hacksaw seems most of the slot I saw have high RTP nowadays same as yahoo suggested above.
