Laziness and sleepiness are not the same thing, you can attribute tiredness to sleepiness but laziness can be somebody that is not tired but don't want to work. It's natural to become tired after a stressful work, at that point the body needs rest and sleep can be a remedy. A lazy person wants to rest and sleep all day when they have things to do and their body can carry them.
If you're talking from a medical point of view I can say that laziness and sleepiness can be because your body is lacking some vital diets. People who don't eat well or their bodies lacks some vital nutrients will not have the energy and willingness to engage in any physical activities. People who are in these conditions can check on Google to know the causes and solutions to their problems or better still see their doctors for prescriptions.

While laziness is a behavior which is contrary to the expectation or people being eager to work and make a living off their abilities and skills. Even though I could agree having a healthy gut is always good for one's being wellbeing, I am not sure whether it has something directly to do with the pack of sleep or the behavior of a person when comes to working. When there is too much sleep, there can be symptoms of deeper problems in the body and OP is right about that. But if someone is healthy and there seem to be no problem at all with their bodies, it only means that they don't want to work at all. Although, let us not judge them by that. Because most of us just want to lie on the bed whole day long when we've been working hard with our day jobs and our body gets tired. Maybe a day or two of rest is fine but if has become weeks and months, that's something else.

Laziness and drowsiness can be caused by various factors. Starting from lack of sleep/rest, stress and maybe there is a certain disease suffered by the person. There are several ways to reduce laziness and drowsiness by improving healthy eating patterns, managing stress, improving sleep patterns, and exercising. But if that can't reduce your laziness and drowsiness, you can consult a doctor to find out what the cause is, and can be treated immediately by a doctor if it is considered very disturbing for someone to do activities.

I understand your point as you are trying to proof that if you give yourself a real time to rest and you fall asleep so fast your feeling sleepy not lazy as someone who have been in stress for long require it. By definition they are not the same thing. But one can led to the other. This means if you do sleep on a regular basis when it is not a symptom of any diagnosis people will consider you lazy. For instance, you kept on sleeping in your office or business place every day, what do you think your colleague or business partners will say if not about you been lazy.

Everyone needs sleep in order to relax our nerves and calm the brain after been stressed up. Sleep is very important in humans life but when you are sleeping too much, it shows that you are idle. Laziness is the act of not in the mood of doing anything with your eyes open i.e unwilling to work, or when you do something little and get tired immediately. Laziness varies in different individuals.

And to expand on that, given the circumstances you could argue that Laziness and Sleepiness are the opposite. Somebody lazy doesnt want to work - "if there was work in the bed, he'd sleep on the floor"Anyone who is a really hard worker and puts in long hours will be very only very happy to get as much sleep as they can, the might feel "sleepy" Also a good healthy diet may not cure laziness whereas a good diet will help with an active work life and proper sleep pattern.

Another reason behind laziness and sleepiness could be a bad working thyroid. Hypothyroidism ilness has direct impact over someone's will to do things, disposition and proactiveness. Thyroid is responsible for the production of very important hormones which balance the metabolism, and when this production isn't balanced, the individual may feel depressed, anxious or irritated, besides another negative consequences which are manifested in the body.
With that in mind, it's always a good idea to do recurrent blood tests every 6 months, while attending to a doctor for routine examination. The sooner an imbalance like that is discovered, lesser are going to be the negative impacts.

Laziness and sleepiness are so similar that there must be another reason than being lazy or tired. It's constipation. People need to get a good diet that includes probiotics, so that they stay regular. One help is black seed oil... nigela sativa... black cumin oil. It fights the parasites in the body so that probiotics can work easier.  Perhaps we need to understand what is the case of their laziness or being tired. For me, I remembered back then when I was too tired even without activity and when I check with my physician I'm in borderline diabetes. So diet and exercise and I didn't take that much carbs and some meds. I'm still a type-2 though, but I know the signs and will have to take some drastic actions of my blood sugar rose.

I had this problem for so long, I went to doctor and turned out it was Thyroid disease

Well I do work a full 8 hours day and then when I come home I am so tired. I do not think it does mean that I do have some laziness. And sometimes all I want to do is sleep for some hours.
But if a person just plays around all and does not do much and then is sleep he is lazy. I do think I have a good diet but I do not do a Probiotic like you say. I think I will look into more about that.

The point is that being tired is often the result of the body trying to fight parasites. My opinion is that it is mostly parasites that produce old age one way or another. But that's a different topic. When a person is unhealthy in a way that can't easily be seen (parasites), he doesn't know what his problem is. People - and often he himself - call him lazy when he is really only tired from his body fighting parasites. The truth of the matter is an individual thing for everybody. There are other reasons besides parasites, like mental fatigue from some major problem in life. Encouragement often helps this kind of tiredness. To call the person lazy simply makes it worse. He has enough mental problems already.

Laziness and sleepiness are not the same thing, you can attribute tiredness to sleepiness but laziness can be somebody that is not tired but don't want to work. It's natural to become tired after a stressful work, at that point the body needs rest and sleep can be a remedy. A lazy person wants to rest and sleep all day when they have things to do and their body can carry them.
On the contrary, they are very related. A person who is hard working will continue to want to work even when they are very tired or near exhaustion. A lazy person will want to rest even when they are slightly tired. Being lazy is a disease and will cause you to sleep longer hours. A lot of people who are lazy justify their long sleeping hours by many excuses, none of which are true. Well I do work a full 8 hours day and then when I come home I am so tired. 8 hours of work is on the low end, and nothing to get tired from. Unless you are old, sick, nutrient or otherwise deficient, or are doing extremely physically demanding work, you are probably a bit lazy.
