Curses are simply Problems or Punishments people or things attract to themselves. When you break GOD's law or do wrongs you attract problems... which can be temporary or permanent.
The only way to be saved from the curses is to clean the cursed humans from their accumulated evil or sins, with blood (specifically MESSIAH's blood) and start living truely good life.
MESSIAH came to die for the wrong deeds of people so that they may be saved from curses and death. It's like a good friend sacrificing his life on your behalf to save you from death penalty and punishments you deserved.
Believe in the MESSIAH and do what he told us to do and you will be freed and protected from family or national curses. You need to avoid the evil they (family and nation) do to be protected from their curses
Isaiah 59:1,2: "Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear."
So, it is God that is able to save, and has already placed salvation into the works through the Messiah.
The thing that separates you from God is not His doing. It is that your sins are always with you in the back of your mind. You keep on remembering them, and this memory of them causes you to NOT accept the salvation that the Messiah provides. It's called unbelief or at least weak faith. It's why we get old and die.
