It's not strange that manipulation in the crypto market has been around for a long time it's just that it's not visible to the naked eye those who don't know may think this is normal in terms of decline or increase even though we know there will be where the manipulators take action.

Coins with low capitalization may be easy to move the coin for manipulators, so this scheme I already know from several previous articles.
Yeah it's better to avoid coins with low capitalization sometimes we ourselves have to realize it.

To specify, those coins that has a low trading volume usually are the ones that are easily manipulated.

Just wanna share this one. I just saw a token on MEXC where it's 24-hr trading volume is at around $840k only. A few minutes after that, the token dumped immediately, and the trading volume spiked up, then after going down, it went up significantly as the trading volume went up to as high as $1.4M. This is a perfect example of market manipulation and of course, we don't know who are the culprits of this, but it's pretty much legal and there's nothing that the exchange can do about it.

As somebody that's using different exchanges, I've seen market manipulations happening for a long, long time already, and it will just continue to happen. Those low trading volume coins are the ones that are easy to manipulate that's why if you aren't good in trading (like me), I would suggest to stay away from these coins, and focus on the ones that has a higher trading volume as it's harder to manipulate.

Yeah often the MEXC exchange has more tokens that are easily manipulated by some friends who noticed tokens with small volume suddenly jumped... I actually don't know if MEXC doesn't notice that this is like cheating or does it just let it go? It's like the whales have now dominated the market with low volume tokens.

As somebody that's using different exchanges, I've seen market manipulations happening for a long, long time already, and it will just continue to happen. Those low trading volume coins are the ones that are easy to manipulate that's why if you aren't good in trading (like me), I would suggest to stay away from these coins, and focus on the ones that has a higher trading volume as it's harder to manipulate.

That's how it is... market manipulation has been around for a long time it's just that we never notice who the perpetrators are it's hard to identify.
While others may take advantage of this manipulation situation, I'd rather avoid it myself.

Literally every low market cap coin is being manipulated these days, from the chart alone it's obvious. Even for a coin that only available in DEX you'd see manipulation.
It's pretty rampant but that's just how it is with trading, best course of action is to avoid them altogether, this is why I just stick with BTC, only trade altcoin occasionally if there's huge reward risk ratio.
If you trade future on these alts, big chance you'd be liquidated.

If we think there ever exist a market manipulation, then we should also engage in doing one if it is that easy, am quite aware of the whales even making losses at the cause of the market volatility because some are trading using huge amount and the market is already going against them, while some it will favour them to make more profits, even if there is going to be a market manipulation, we should have seen it right form the chart if we are truly speculating well.

Manipulations are common on different markets on which there are always those people who are sitting at the top and making use of their financial capability for them to made out some manipulations towards this market specially if we do speak about low caps pumps then this is something which is that very possible. Pumping up a low cap will be needing up that significant amount but of course before they will be pumping it out then they will be that first trying to hype their bags first before they will be making up some sell off and that would be leading up into huge loses into those who have bought along the way. Now that we are talking about those low caps on exchangers then it is still having no exemption when it comes to manipulation. We can see it on decentralized exchangers commonly but same goes that could happen on centralized ones. There's always that those tendency that those coins/tokens on which we do believe that it might be over because its price or value sitting down below into the ground but surprisingly they do made out some jumps on a particular period of time on which on the moment that it do create some hype, then expect that there would be those plebs that will be trying out to ride up with the hype and believing that they could still made out some huge profits if they will be able to ride with the momentum on which this do mostly end up on a disaster with your invested funds. The wrong way because honest traders are affected. While the manipulators are making profits the honest guys will be counting their losses.

Right from time, coins with low market caps are easily to manipulate and exchanges that are always listing those low market caps are fond of the manipulation. This is the reason why coins listed on these exchanges are mostly pump and dump coin and not one you can invest in for a long time to reap good profits. They happen to be the ones you need to buy early and when they pump early and you miss out, it is better you don’t go buying and FOMO, because it may end up in you losing your capital with such investment. Manipulations are real and they can be spotted off easily when you are very current with the market changes often, so don’t fall for manipulations as they’re real and one should avoid such coins that happen to generates from such categories.

Now this thing has become common and to keep it alive, humanity say that it is wrong otherwise someone wants to earn money from which they can earn a lot of profit. When to earn more money one has to deceive someone and hide a little truth from him, people work harder. If there is nothing humanity in it then it is a wrong way to teach us what is good and what is bad. This is absolutely right and those who are earning so much profit are thinking how to earn more false profit.

It is expected because it's a centralized coin, everything is controlled by the owner, which creates a chance for market manipulation.  Large holders of the coin can influence prices by generating buy pressure or spreading hype, then quickly dumping their holdings to profit, leaving ordinary investors with losses.

IMO, if you know how to ride the situation like this, I have no issue with it as a trader.
However, if you're new to crypto, I recommend sticking with Bitcoin since its price is harder to manipulate.

Manipulation is not only a problem in the cryptocurrency market because I have read about the same thing happening in other markets too but since I am not very active in those markets any longer, I can not say the exact way the manipulation is happening but for this market, I think the manipulation is getting out of hand because everyday, something ridiculous is happening yet exchanges keep listing this type of projects. Manipulation is now being called hype therefore it does not get enough attention for proper investigation to be carried out. Exchanges manipulate projects more when they are about to list and when they are newly listed. Exchange makes the most profits because they are never losing but enjoying inside trading privileges.

It was obvious, foundation, team and investors always got the biggest share of the cake, of course they have the capability to manipulate low float coin.
Just like what happened to mantra, so much manipulation the token dumped 90% but after a while everybody is forgetting if that ever happened.

Yes, even the top ones cannot skip the manipulation that can be done either by the whales of this market or the institutions that are trying to take the most of money from people that can easily be manipulated. And so, those traders that know that this is happening, they could just simply ride it and no need to complain because whoever is the smartest, the smart money goes to them.

Well when it has low liquidity, that means we are going to see how things change, that means manipulating is easy. Like if you can increase the price of a coin with just 10k dollars (and yes there are some so low that you can do that) then it's easy to manipulate, and that won't be really easy at all, and you are going to regret it.

If you really want to, you should focus on making more money and to do that you are going to use bigger coins because these low liquidity ones could be manipulated too easily and you shouldn't be buying or holding anything that can be manipulated so easily. In the end, if we can't do anything about this, then you are going to be in trouble. So focus on what you can do, and what you can put money into, and be safe.

Thats right. Besides memecoin pump and dump even fundamental tokens and coins are being manupulated thoroughly on cex. Ice mentioned before that in cex like Binance there are some cabal on these markets picking up one by one some target for their pumping and ofcourse exiting when they lured some already.

Coins with low market caps are targeted by pumpers and dumpers, this has been the case for a long time, I even joined their group but groups like this will only benefit paid members who are free and will get trapped because usually paid members already have this coin, there are quite a lot of groups like this, I don't know for now I no longer pay attention to it.

It's hard to stop it, the important thing is that we are always careful and tell beginners not to get caught up in this.

Fundamental ones are harder to reach, and that is the most important parts. If you can do more then you are going to profit a lot more and can get a good return. So, please focus on the fact that memes are easier to manipulate and you are going to get worse results. This means, if you can get a return on fundamental ones, you are going to do better job. That is why always be careful one, so you need to be careful and that means memes are worse. Sure, fundamentals could be a small bit manipulated but not commonly.

And it is very tough to manipulate something that takes so much money to make too, and that is why you need to be careful. Which is why you need to be focusing on the big ones because that is how you make money from them. This should be careful.

The solution is simple. Do not chase shitcoins. Trade&Hodl only bitcoin and maybe a few well established altcoins. Forget about the rest.

I sometimes log in to my binance account and I see they issue a new altcoin almost every day. That’s insanity. Nobody in the right mind should be chasing these. It makes zero sense. Not only that, these shitcoins even harm crypto in general because they are just copy-paste shitcoins with no real life purpose at all.

The worst part is, there are some people who trade these coins with the hopes of getting rich. That’s why binance keep adding new shitcoins to their exchange.

I have learnt a costly lesson from trading low-cap coins. Nowadays I don't jump in such coins. Whenever I intend to trade, I choose some top coins from the market. Though big coins would be manipulated as well, it's not too easy to do. Also, you won't lose too much when you are trading with big coins in case of manipulation. We know even Bitcoin is manipulated sometimes by the biggest whales, but you will not lose too much from that manipulation.

So I will prefer to trade some big and top altcoins. If we are greedy to earn big, then we can be trapped by whales. I have added some coins to my favourites list. I don't trade out of my list to avoid heavy manipulation. So make your strategy as well for how you could be safe during manipulation.
