Most times people gamble when they are broke thinking and believing that they will make money but ends up losing even the remaining small money that is in their hand , gambling when you are broke is one of the worst things that anyone can do because when anyone is broke there are alot of things that are going on in the mind of such a person and for gambler's the huge to gambling will come on propelling then to gamble that they will bounce back, this is what  gambler's has experienced so we should try as much as possible not to gamble while we are broke as it will lead to more worries and regrets

There is always a two side to the coin and this is the kind of situation that has such characteristics. Being broke and using the last money you have is just as taking the risk in gambling in the first place. It is risky because if you lose you may not have anything with you but this is the irony of gambling when we still say gambling is luck base. So why will someone still fear to try their luck when they are broke... They say he that is down fears no fall.

My point therefore is that I have experienced gamblers who rose from their last hope and later won enough money and gifted some people while he was leaving the offline gambling shop. I just believe that it is about the risk appetite a gambler has and not because they are going broke.

I havent found myself in a truly dire money situation where the urge to gamble has taken over, which Im grateful for.  However, I can almost understand that desperate mindset, even if it plainly leads to ruin.  It seems to sprout from a glimmer of wishful thinking that maybe just maybe, this is the escape route, as foolish as that is.  I guess it stems more from the feeling of a likely fast resolution rather than any rational thinking.

One thing I don’t do is use my credit card to gamble. I’ve seen many people I know do this. This is definitely “money” that you don’t have, and if you lose it, your loss will be doubled. So what if I say I totally disagree with what you just said above, because literally I don't see anything wrong with gambling when you are broke, but what I see that is wrong is gambling when you are broke "with the mindset of getting rich back",. Because gambling doesn't make people rich, but rather a job, and as such, for a user to think by just mere gambling, he/she might get rich quick, is just an illusion that only exists only in our minds. And as such it's not a crime for poor people not to gamble, inasmuch as they are not having the intention of getting rich quick and gambling what he can always afford to lose.

I've been there a few times and as much as I would have loved to still bet with the last $, I calmed down till I had a lot more. The reason why most people are tempted to bet even with their last money is because gambling has a degree of luck to it and you never know when it's your lucky day.

The fay you decide not to bet and stay in defensive mode aka capital preservation might be the day you were supposed to win big.

Gambling should not be considered as a means of earning money, gambling should be considered as entertainment and a very limited amount of income should be used, such as 1% -5%. If we use a very limited amount of money in gambling and lose that money, we should not feel too bad. Moreover, we should always remember that there is defeat in gambling and we have to lose. Moreover, for gambling, we should participate less in games based on luck and participate more in sports betting where we can ensure victory by applying our own analysis and strategy. And yes, gambling can make anyone broke, even if they were not before. So, the better title for this topic should be do not gamble if you have gambling issues.

But I do agree that poor people are the most endangered group, especially if they develop gambling habits. A rich person has the necessary social groups and contacts to get himself back on his feet quickly. A poor person does not.

Why force yourself when your financial condition starts to weaken, the person should look for a good solution so that their business can grow again but there are also people who have experienced bankruptcy they still dare to gamble with the reason "Just for fun or to entertain themselves". Some people believe gambling is their way out of poverty which is a very wrong idea to put in mind. That is a good advice because when people bankrupt, they must use the left money for their primary needs instead for gambling. They will difficult to win the money especially if they just only some money left. But some people want to change their situation from gambling because they thought that they can win from gambling.

They will risk the last money that they have to gamble considering they know the match and expect to win. But they are playing gambling which is not easy to win. A broke person who is using the small money that he has to gamble will be desperate to win, they will see it as a lifeline to increase their money to take care of their needs. But this is a very wrong thing to do because gambling wins is by luck and there is a high chance that he will lose the little money that he used to gamble. An inexperienced gambler can go as far as taking a loan to chase loses and if they are not lucky they will still lose both the loan. At the end of the they will become more broke and in dept, becoming worse off than when they tried to gamble responsibly.

The reason why I Said this is that in my neighborhood, majority of gamblers I see clustering around betting shops are broke guy/gamblers and they hope to make fortune from betting, but they end up even losing the little they have, and continuously recycling from Monday to Monday any little amount they have they keep depositing to the house. And the most funny part of it is that they don't select few games while betting, they often play accumulative game with highest risk and high expectations. Emagine playing accumulative game of 30 with less than $0.1 and expecting to win $5k or more. Now tell me how broke guys can win? It's best time they wake up to the reality.

Gambling when you are broke is like putting salt into injuries, due to the fact that you would going to do everything possible to get a win.
